“no compaints from me”

Having read other reviews of this hotel they seem to vary quite a lot.I didnt have any complaints.The rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed. The hotel staff were very nice and helpfull. We were in the Oriana part of the hotel so i cant comment on the main part of the hotel. I certainly had no compaints whatsoever.

“Nice place for a decent price.”

Clearly not a 4* hotel, but good quality for the price. We had a very relaxing time by the hotel swimming pool. It could use with a better air conditioning, considering the island climate.

“HAD A NICE STAY AT TOPAZ HOTEL”

have just returned from 8 days stay at the topaz and it was very nice. like previous reviews i agree it could do with a lick of paint here and there (get rid of the yellow ceilings!)the main point to note is that is not as close to the centre of bugibba as we thought, and though it eas no problem for us it was for older people or less agile, so bear that in mind, it took us 10 to 15 mins to walk to the bus station, but buses do also go past the main road just at the end of the street outside the entrance. the cleaning service wasn't alwways the best, on the first day when we didn't need it as only just arrived the night before a very bossy maid forced her way into the room and insisted on changing the towels that we hadn't even used! after that it was hit and miss, but we did get clean towels etc everyday. my only complaint of the whole stay was the noisy people making their way to breakfast every morning from 7.30 onwards as we were near the lift, but that is not the hotels' fault, just inconsiderate holidaymakers, they would soon complain if we had made the same noise at night when we returned from our evening out! but all in all a wonderful holiday, some people moan too much!!WE LOVE MALTA!!

“Good hotel, shame about the entertainment”

This hotel is very nice, average service, good accommodation and good facilities. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the evening entertainment, it's appauling! for a 4* hotel, you would think they would get entertainers that could sing, at the very least. Overall, very god stay!

“Much better than expected”

If you are looking for a quaint, charming hotel in Malta, this is not it. The only gripe I had about the Topaz was that my husband and I usually opt for smaller, quieter hotels, and this was our fourth choice on Expedia. The indoor pool, while beautiful, was hardly ever free of crowds of sreaming children. Even so, with so much to do on Malta, we really never wanted to go swimming anyways. The hotel staff was extremely kind and helpful and the room was always kept very clean. Also, they do not provide any kind of parking, so if you are renting a car, be aware that on some busy nights, you might have to circle for a spot several times. This only happened once, but it was not even the busy season. Otherwise, the Topaz on the whole made for a great launching point for us to get out and see the island.

“"Value for Money" You get what you pay for.”

I have seen many negative comments about this hotel but those who wrote these comments are looking at the Topaz with rose coloured glasses. You get what you pay for and with this Hotel you get value for money. You don't pay a lot but you get a nice clean room, okay staff in general (some exceptional some poor) above average food and pleasant entertainment for senior guests. Is this not a four star hotel well maybe in Malta it is but not in the UK but it is 2.5 or a 3 star hotel. This is not generally a young persons hotel as the average age when I visited in early March was 50 plus. Finally Expedia did a very good job with admin and organisation - well done team.
