“Very Nice”

“Excellent Hotel”

Excellent location, hotel with very good facilities. Food was good, staff were extremely helpful and polite. We had a tower room which offers wonderful views of the sea.

Area recommendations

Staying at St Julian's is away from the main hustle and bustle of Valetta, but buses are very easy to use and are cheap. St Julian's has good restaurants so it isn't really a problem not being in the capital of the island.

Must see

Mdina - ancient, walled city. Take a horse-drawn carriage around the city and Rabat - unforgettable.

“Third visit and still thoroughly enjoyed it !!! Great relaxing family holiday.”

This was our third time staying at the Westin and we were not disappointed. The hotel staff are exceptionally friendly from the front desk, to the towels girls, even the house keeping staff. This visit we stayed in the executive club rooms, with access to the lounge for breakfast and complimentary evening drinks and canapes. I would especially like to pay thanks to Pam, Yvonne and the rest the rest of their team in WEC who looked after us for our entire stay of 11 nights and made all the difference.

“Good hotel”

A good hotel not in the centre of town which is a disadvantage because of the unexpectedly high cost of taxis.

“a regular 5star hotel”

The hotel is very close to the area where all the night life is happening yet it is still in a rather remote and quiet place where you can nicely sleep. Room was spacious, clean. We found it awkward that as a 5start hotel they charge for even coffee & tea bags in the room which is normally complimentary in 5start hotels. And the cleaning lady knocked on our door to change the bed sheet at 8:30am which, we thought, was a little too early to do that. But other than these small things, nice rooms and hotel facilities.

“Westin Dragonara Malta”

The hotel was excellent but it wasn't in an ideal location for restaurants. The gym and indoor pool were good but the showers in the gym could have been clean more often. The rest of the hotel, including our room, was very good.

“Enjoyed our stay and the ice machine”

Would recommend the Deluxe Seaview room with King Size bed and the balcony. The room is spacious. We have enjoyed our stay at the Westin Dragonara over the Christmas holiday, in particular the Christmas Eve buffet dinner event and the indoor swimming pool/jacuzzi faciliites - since it was too cold to swim outside. Unfortunately, the ice machine on our floor the 5th floor is broken throughout our stay. We had to go o the 8th floor to find the ice machine that was guaranteed to work.

Area recommendations

The Hilton hotel for location, as it is closer from St Julian's bay - except there is no free WIFI. Whilst the Westin has free WIFI in the lobby area, or if you are lucky, you can connect to the hotel's WIFI from the balcony.

Must see

A trip to Gozo is a must - in particular the Azure Window - it is a long walk to this nature wonder, so it is a good idea to take a taxi from the bus terminal down to the sea where the Azure Window is located by the sea - if you are short of time. You can then linger a bit longer enjoying the crashing waves create a tremendous show. By taxi it is only about 5 euros and takes only about 5-10 minutes. Whilst walking took us 45 minutes or so. To Gozo, we took the hop-on and hop-off bus trip which includes the transfer from/to your hotel and a complimentary harbour cruise. Make sure you keep the tickets with you, as when returning to the harbour from Gozo, there is a different driver and different car for the transport back to the hotel.
