“Walk out to get about”
3 minutes from the bus terminus, 20 minutes to Valetta by bus to gain access to the whole island. In July the bus service will change with a new company, so hopefully things will get better. From my point of view the accommodation was very clean, not expensive and ideally located for me. Will I visit again? - most certainly yes! This is my third year at this hotel complex. Friendly and clean.
“Worst hotel ever”
This hotel was perhaps the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. While the location was very good if you are interested in night life, the hotel itself is horrible. The hotel does not supply you with many things that I assumed should be supplied in any hotel setting as even much cheaper Bed & Breakfasts have supplied them. For example, there were no shampoo or hairdryer in the bathroom. When I asked if there was any shampoo or hairdryer the receptionist replied that there was one hairdryer that a guest left that they give to clients upon request but it seemed to be lost at the moment. There also wasn't any parking supplied to guests, and because of this we got a parking ticket. Another surprise was that there was no air conditioning in the hotel, and Malta is VERY hot in the summertime. Next, upon arrival, I found a roach in the bathroom (GREAT!). The beds were horribly uncomfortable and old. The continental breakfast was nothing of the sort. There was no fruit or yogurt served. Only hard boiled eggs, beans, bacon and cereal. Nor was there any fruit juice served, there was some orange flavored water, perhaps some Tang, but I am really not sure. Also the coffee was disgusting. I advised anyone considering this hotel to find another, there are many nicer hotels in the same area!
“Dosh Darn Good Hotel”
Really helpful staff! Eagar room service, though if you want to sleep in hang out the do not disturb sign as room service starts around 9 o clock am. I do not recommend this hotel if you are after a relaxing holiday as you are bang in the middle of the pubs and clubs (which was great for me!) Though to be fair from the hotel room you surprisingly hear very little from the pubs and clubs outside. Maybe try Sliema or Valletta these areas seem to be allot more quite. Also I must recommend trying a trial dive at Dive Wise at the end of the road by the hotel, excellent instructors and staff! Overall I really recommend this hotel and I would definitely go back again!
“Ideal ecconomic hotel location - covers all locations in Malta with ease.”
Travel by local bus is excellent only Euro 0.47 for each zone with 1 main Bus terminal in Valetta. Do not know the bus route - Mr Mintoff got rid of the route colour coordinated buses but just ask. English is understood by virtually everyone? Airport to Valetta (route 8, less than half a Euro, 30 minute service) . Jump onto another bus eg to St Julian (route 62, less than half a Euro, 10 minute service). The driver might charge for your suitcase if it is large and the bus is full. You may arrive at this hotel only 30 minutes after the possible taxi. Going sightseeing - from St Julians bus #62 back to Valetta. spend a whole day doing the sights or the shows. Buses go everywhere - all the time! Accommodation- surprisingly neat bed-sit with 2 beds and everything you need to be self contained: TV, a/c, fridge, cooker, wardrobe, drawer unite, full facility bathroom - bath, shower etc with instant hot water. The cold water is not potable but there are notices and bottled water is very cheap. Food available at the hotel but local restaurants and pubs are only 2 minutes away. Plenty of local night life - if you want it! and it is not too noisy. Value for money - excellent but I have heard that when students are being accommodated there the corridors can be busy. Will I go back - YES! Might even rent a room for a year!
“Only go here if you are 18-30”
Hotel is right in the middle of Malta's"club land" (which would rival Ibiza). Seems to be a favourite hotel for young Italian men who stay out 'till 6a.m and then want to shout and watch t.v. before going to sleep.Avoid if you are over 30 but would perhaps be fine if you are under that age group.
“Spring Break Hotel”
The hotel requires € 120,-- deposit in cash upon check in - just in case "if you break anything", no credit card accepted... Like a youth hostel. We got two separate beds instead of the king size bed booked, but were able to move them. Oh, and another bunk bed was in the room, also like a youth hostel (very nice). The walls are so thin, you can hear everything going on in the room next door. The tiniest TV I have ever seen is located in a corner so you can not watch TV out of your bed, with no remote and buttons which work only occasionally. The bathroom: The toilet only flushes if you push the handle about 3 times, the shower has no curtain, so the whole bathroom is overflowded after one shower, and the showerhead only provides one jet of water, either cold or hot - really lousy! The "concierge" hardly speaks english and he is only available when he wants I guess, had look for him 7 times throughout the day to get him! Most guests are arround 20 and drunk all the time, pissing from the balcony and making trouble and noise at 4 am. At least security came within 10 minutes and silenced them. Couple ants in the room on the 8th floor and the breakfast was just bottom basic. Can not recommend the hotel at all, unless you are 18 dont require service or comfort and want to party. Still the location is great.
“Settembre a malta”
perfetto soprattutto x i giovani
