“Excellent location and very affordable”

The Sliema Chalet was ideal for us. We found the room price very affordable and the position was great. Transfers to and from the airport were simple as the bus stop is located right across the road. We had a smallish double room, with balcony and sea view, on the 3rd floor. The room was basic but had all the essentials - wardrobe with hanging space, instant hot water and good water pressure, and a small TV. There are several cheap eateries within a minute's walk along the promenade, and It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the Sliema ferrys, shopping plaza, and many more cafes and restaurants. Public transport can be a little slow but, that said, we were able to step out of the hotel and onto a bus on day trips to every part of the island (and Gozo). A buffet breakfast is served from 0730 and the staff were always on hand to keep food options stocked and provide fresh coffee or tea. The staff are not the most naturally smiley bunch, but on every occasion we greeted them, or offered a smile, we got the same in return. All in all we were very pleased with the Sliema Chalet. We wanted a base from which to go sightseeing and it certainly provided that. Into the bargain we had a lovely view of the waves rolling in, a sunny balcony and a good breakfast each day. We would happily recommend this hotel to others.

i found the hotel perfectly reasonable for what we payed. the room was clean, fairly basic and in need of a little decorating to be it's best, but you mustn't judge these holiday island 's 3 stars against those in european capitol cities. staff seem friendly, breakfast was ok and used the adjoining restaurant which served good meals ; good portions and cheaper than many of the other places on this strip of sliema. bus stops to and from valetta right outside the front door. you have to pay for the tv remote and the room safe key but i think this is common practise here. the room was serviced everyday and you got plenty of towels and soap etc we had an inland view which looked over a construction site, but it wasn't operating thankfully. excellent view from the nice sun terrace on the roof. we got room 666 which was rather amusing ! if you're looking for a basic, clean room and a decent but not elaborate breakfast i'd recommend it. if you're really fussy or think 3 star should be top class maybe find a higher graded place

We enjoyed our stay at the Sliema Chelet Hotel and loved Sliema. Sliema is one of the quiater resorts with a range of resterants and pubs but only a short bus ride away from the night life, discos etc. It also proved to be a excelant jumping off point far all the atractions via those wonderfull old buses and thier crazy drivers. It was very hot (late July) and the sea was wonderfull. Beaches are mostly rocky with a wonderfull sandy beach or two up the north west coast. I hope to go back one day to sielma and would consider the sliema Chalet Hotel as it represented value for money on a buget.

“Free dinner wasn't worth having!!”

Hotel is adequate and well positioned on Sliema seafront but it should not have been described as half board. The evening meal was very deliberately a separate second class menu and very inferior food to what was offered to non-hotel customers at the restaurant. Poor quality. Continental breakfast was pretty skimpy - and I've had plenty of experience of far superior "continental" breakfasts which were more than just cereal and toast!

Riktigt lågt pris och ändå hyfsat hotell. Tar extra betalt för TV på rummet och för värdeförvaring. Låg kvalitet på frukosten. Ligger bra vid strandpromenaden och nära till allt man vill se och göra. Undvik att inkludera middag, riktigt dåligt alternativ. Även frukosten kan man klara sig utan. Det finns flera alternativ i närheten.

“Non un tre stelle, ma per un soggiorno breve direi perfetto”

Camera vista mare e strada...un pochino come esserci in strada, mi sono dovuto mettere i tappi nelle orecchie. Internet a pagamento, pur avendo un ottima wifi. Si paga anche l'aria che respiri.Ma... Personale che parla un ottimo italiano e disponibilissimi, consigli e suggerimenti sul soggiorno. Ogni consiglio è dato fraternamente. Nessun altro problema, peccato per le camere piccoline e un pochino rumorose secondo il mio parere. PS: Per spostarvi, BUS (meritano anche solo di esser visti e sperimentati) e servizio TAXI NERO, funzionano benissimo e molto onesti.

le stanze sul lungomare hanno una bella vista, ma le altre non sono tutte da un tre stelle - comunque dopo qualche lamentele, ci hanno cambiato la stanza - per guardare la televisione in camera bisogna pagare un supplemento
