“Avoid this nightmare”

An old and dirty hotel, not at all maintained.

“Certainly not 4 star - maybe 1.5 or 2 star”

This hotel should be called Qawra Prison not palace. Our first night of 4 was a nightmare. We arrived about midnight and went straight to bed for a long earned sleep. NOT!!! The pillows were like a sack filed with gravel and sand. (I still have a sore neck over two weeks later) The mattress was covered with plastic. It was like sleeping on a large packet of potato crisps – crackling and crinkling all night long. The next morning we found toenail clippings on the floor from the previous guests. When we complained and asked for the 4 star room we had paid for, we were told all the rooms were the same. After more complaining housekeeping did change our pillows and turn the mattresses over so we were not sleeping on the plastic side. The toe mail clippings were still on the floor though. The toilet, bath and hand basin were not cleaned during our four days there. I am sure the bath was still dirty from the previous guests. The floor was not swept either. There were dead cockroaches on the floor for two days. The breakfast was very ordinary for a (four star) hotel. I am so glad we decided not to go for the dinner option as well. The view from balcony was great and the pools were great. Some staff were very good and others very ordinary. The woman who comes in and does the massages is fantastic. I would recommend a massage because if you spend the night here you will need one.

Towels at the pool not provided but should be if you stay longeer than a week. The hotel is beeing renowed f.ex. the dining area so up it goes! Food was good staff mostly good in all a place of decent stay.

“very regimented”

1st morning game find the sauce bottle 1 per section. Do not sit in the wrong section. Tea and coffee in room yes if you pay. TV remote yes to hire

“Scruffy and Needs Completely Renovating”

Hotel was shabby, rooms needed decorating with new beds. Mattresses were disgusting and covered with only a bottom sheeet which was grey in colour instead of white (complete with holes)and were too small and therefore diddn't fit. Had Air Conditioning which was on low and couldn't be altered. If you wanted a remote control for the TV you had to pay, a charge for the safe key, a charge for the tea/coffee kettle and then the maid didn't even was the cups, a charge for mattresses on the sunbeds, I could you on but too many things to mention. Staff were surly and unfriendly and extremely unhelpfull. Food was very below average and the only consolation was that it was buffett style and therefore you could fill up on bread rolls. You had to queue to pay for a drink and then again at the bar to collect it then carry it to your table for dinner. If you asked for ice the staff then banged your drink on the bar with looks that could kill. During the day we went out just so we could forget about the place for a while. Please pick a different hotel if you want to go to Malta.

“Average”

The hotel was what I would describe as average based on hotels I have stayed in all over the world. It may be above average for Malta?? The room we originally were given was in quite poor repair and the fridge didn't work but we were quickly moved into another room which was much better. The waiting staff and cleaners were really friendly and helpful.

“Bra läge”

Hotellet ligger bra med tanke på närhet till bad, kommunikationer och shopping m.m. Men vi hade otur med vädret, blåste syd-sydostlig hård vind, vilket betyder att det blåste rakt på hotellet. Dörrarna ut till balkongen var otäta så vinden kom igenom, vilket resulterade i att det blev mycket ljud, som på natten var lite störande. En del rum hade nyrenoverade badrum, men duschen var av den gamla fastmonterade modellen, och det var en miss. Frukosten var bra. Möjligheten att hyra kaffekokare ett plus. Personalen väldigt trevlig och tillmötesgående.

“HOTEL QAWRA PALACE, MALTA”

Grande albergone a due passi dal centro di Bugibba con accesso al mare e piscine di acuqa salata, ottimo servizio e facilità di comunicazione. Tanti servizi disponibili all'interno e facile da raggiungere con ogni mezzo dall'aeroporto e dalle località più interessanti dell'isola. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, sicramente un'ottima base dove alloggiare mentre si gira l'isola.
