“will defiatly go back”
Very good hotel food excelent however think there could be a little more choice
“We felt thatthe hotel was what we expected form a 4 star hotel”
Over all we enjoyed that trip
“Sunny Malta in November!”
Malta is a great place... it has plenty of history... some of its buildings and places are well worth seeing... like the wall city of Mdina... the Dome at Mosta... the fishing village at Marsalokks and the great scenery everwhere... including Valetta's Grand Harbour... we went for a long weekend and were not disappointed. It was November... the temperatures were mid 70's hot, dry and sunny!!! We had been there before some years ago and it was lovely to see it again, including the 1950's Buses... Bedfords and Leylands! The roads had'nt changed either, more dips and bends than a funfair ride... and the some of the local driving was as bad as I have seen anywhere, inncluding the the dodgems at the same funfair! Make sure you get good insurance! Would we go again? Probably not... but not because we didnt like it... there are too many other places to visit and experience!
“Silema”
The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. I was expecting the hotel to be near a beach though. One issue was that the reception staff tried to charge us for the rooms again even though we had already paid through expedia and this took a couple of visits to the reception to sort out. One thing to check, there is a lot of building work being done on a site near the hotel and when we were there this work started at 7am each morning. If you are booked in to a sea view room you wont hear it but anyone at the back will be treated to a free early monring call.
“M”
An excellent hotel still undergoing some renovation but this is not intrusive. The food was very good and the friendliness of the staff second to none. The hotel offers entertainment most evenings and this is pleasant. The views from the Skyroom are breathtaking. The Hotel's position means it is just a bus ride from everywhere on the island. Getting a seaview room is well worth it.
“good malta hotel”
a very good hotel for the price. staff was friendly. rooms was cleaned every day. maids was very nice. make sure you upgrade to a sea-view rooms, they are a bit better & have a great view. pool is across the road & your just 5 min walk to all shops, would stay here again if going to Malta
“Perfect location and superb hospitality”
Unbeatable location, excellent staff and service and would definitely stay there again, however, the bedrooms need updating to be true 4* hotel (this appears to be in progress so 'watch that space'). Should really be classified, if that's possible, as an excellently managed 3*.
“excellent for the price”
excellent room and service, good entertaintment. My only criticism was breakfast but concidering the price one can't really complain. Overall real value for money.
“Sliema good location, Preluna 3 stars”
We stayed at Preluna for 5 days right after Easter. interesting experience different expectations charming in its way. Transport is ridiculous old buses dirty paying to the driver, no change given. transport cheap, 0.47 e except direct transfers 1.19 e. good transfers, no need to rent a car. Sliema one of the best places to stay in Malta, very close to St Julians, also to Valleta. Preluna nice experience, nothing extraordinary, a classic 3 stars hotel, not 4* reasonable enough. The staff nice, the only proper customer service we got in Malta. Reception, Triton restaurant, they were all professional. Bad experience at the italian restaurant poor quality food and expensive. Wonderful food and menu at Triton restaurant. The spa good facilities gym very well equipped, the pool and Jacuzzi nice and clean, different treatments available. Cross the road Fortiza Restaurant good food/drinks, good prices, nice staff. You can see Valetta in half a day, take the bus tour and do the north Medina is special, Mosta (the Dome unique), Buggiba and Peaceville in its heart there is a mall with a steak house restaurant at the 1st floor, food is delicious and very affordable. St Julians nicest part of Malta, for walking on the promenade (30 min to Sliema). Bus tour for south and north, also Gozo, different people different attitude and approach in here nice memories. Pick up leaflets from reception and find all the information you need also find your way around. Maltese people speak english
“Great hotel in a convenient location”
I had a few concerns about this hotel after reading some of the reviews - I needn't have worried. I had a great stay in the Hotel Preluna. The room was a comfortable size and clean, the bathroom was large, the balcony was a decent size with a fine view towards the sea, the breakfast was very good, and the staff were friendly. I was lucky and got a room on the 10th floor so noise from the street was minimal. On the negative side, some of the room furniture was a bit tired (but you wouldn't notice it unless you looked closely) and the balcony furniture looked a bit grubby, but a towel soon solved that problem. The hotel is very convenient for access to the Sliema shopping area and ferries (where you can easily organise your sightseeing trips). There are also plenty of bars and restaurants nearby so it should be possible to find something to suit most tastes. I thougt the hotel was great value for money and would have no hesitation in booking another stay in the Hotel Preluna.
