“Disappointed”

Hotel was OK, nothing special - had the feeling management was penny pinching. Room adequate. Should we return to Malta, would not stay there again. Better values elsewhere, tho was nice to be across street from harbor.

Area recommendations
Much more activity, choices in restaurants, etc. in St. Julian/ Paceville area. Need bus or water taxi to get to Valleta from Gzira and St. Julian.

“Moderate clean hotel”

Well situated in town seafront, convenient to boat/bus trips of island. Basic comfortable clean rooms. Had problem with television not working, remained unfixed although reported.Plenty of eating out locations around the hotel if you did not want to eat in the hotel.

Area recommendations
The hotel is not too far from the capital Valletta, a short bus trip or water taxi brings you to the centre. Water taxi takes about 10 minutes costs around 1.50 euro.
Must see
Check out the main city Valletta if interested in history. War museum and armoury excellent. Take an open top bus around the island and stop at the various intersting locations. Also great is the grand harbour boat tour.

“OK - But not what we expected for a mid-range hotel”

- Rooms were ok, but strangely cheaper rooms were much bigger than more expensive rooms facing the sea - Air conditioning worked but was a little loud - Breakfast was ok - Sheets were clean but smelled of sweaty bananas and were too small - Lift gets monopolised by cleaners in the hour leading up to check-out time.

“Pretty good for the price”

Overall a good value -- not right in the heart of nightlife, but walking distance if you're not too lazy. Nothing too special about the hotel, but for the price it was a good deal.

“Maltese Experience”

The hotel's location made for easy travel, the room balcony made for peaceful and beautiful relaxing reading; breakfast was plentiful. We recommend it and would go back.

“Good value for the money”

Much more than I expected for the money I paid (although probably prices will jump in high season - I was there in February). There are things that I don't quite get - refundable deposit for TV remote control is one of them, but overall impression is good. Room was clean but the air conditioning was way too noisy - had to turn it off. Very convenient location - close to the bus stop.

“hotel Gzira”

druk hotel, te weinig personeel receptie, povere indruk, wel zeer nette kamer, omliggende buurt/straat zeer rumoerig, zeer gunstige ligging tbv openb vervoer

boulevard is goed, zijstraat zeer rumoerig, zou hotel aan zelfde boulevard ,niet aan zijstraat hebben geprefereerd tevens met zwembad

“Leichte und preiswerte Erreichbarkeit der Sehenswürdigkeiten”

Daß wir ein Zimmer ohne Fenster bekommenhaben war unser Verschulden,gegen Aufpreis war auch Balkon mit Meerblick erhältlich.Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und vermutlich zusammen mit dem Bad neu renoviert.Für unsere Sightseeing-Tour war die Lage und das Hotel selbst ideal.Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Auf jeden Fall würden wir Sliema als Ausgangspunkt mit seinen vielen Bus-und Schiffshaltestellen empfehlen
