“Looking forward to going back”
From the moment that Kasia, the receptionist, welcomed us, to the time that Innocent, the concierge, got us onto our transfer bus to leave we had a lovely relaxing time at this splendid hotel. The rooms were large, comfortable and clean. We were lucky to have a sea view over Balluta Bay. One of our couples had 3 balconies which they never stopped talking about!!! The breakfasts were excellent with all manner of food for the variety of guests. That doesn't mean that everything was perfect. We had a couple of unfortunate errors about charging in the Ku de ta lounge and once were served a very cold pizza all of which was disappointing for such a quality hotel but at least the money issues were rectified quickly once accepted. The Spa was luxurious. One of our party loved her reflexology session. We even used the rooftop pool on one of the warmer days. All in all this is an excellent hotel serviced by very professional and attentive staff. We will definitely be back.
“Comfortable spa hotel”
We enjoyed the interior design and architecture of this airy modern hotel, a plus is the amount of different lounging and terraced areas. The business centre works well. The views can be great on the side of the sea. The spa is great but the gym equipment is a little bit tired. The only thing that goes against this hotel really is the lift system - too few and unreliable lifts for the size of the hotel. The service was good and friendly throughout.
“Overall a good hotel”
We were unimpressed with one receptionist in particular but, to be fair to the hotel, when we spoke to Anna (duty manager) we were very impressed how Anna handled our issue. Thanks to Anna we would recommend the hotel, and we liked the pool and spa facilities.
“A good place to stay”
I was here on business for 3 days and found this a good location. Easy acess to places, and good for restuarants near by. Taxi from the airport is £21.00 Euros Swimming pool and gym were very well organised. I would use this hotel again.
“ONE OF THE BEST IN TOWN”
The location of the hotel is unique, specially if you manage to have a room with sea view. SPA is free of charge and meals gorgeous.
“A high property in St. Julian's”
The hotel has all the right pieces of being a great resort hotel. Great rooms, great views, and an amazing spa. The hotel staff is professional in the extreme. However, during peak season, there are only four elevators and the wait was very long at certain times. When an elevator did arrive, it was often full to capacity.
“Gorgeous hotel in perfect location-5 stars”
What a gorgeous hotel. We had an 8 night stay and each day was different. Service was faultless and friendly. We stayed in an executive room with the benefits this entails. I would recommend this if you want a smaller more family feel to your stay. We used the spa every day ... fabulous; treatments on a par with Canyon Ranch. Loved every aspect of our stay. We also hired a car which allowed us to see everything in a/c luxury. The new buses are a/c and were recommended by fellow guests. The restaurants in the hotel are excellent and prices compare favourably with other restaurants in price and quality. We wished we had used the hotel restaurants more.
“Excellent concierges...”
Great hotel...visit marred by the fact that the night staff rejected my lost luggage that was being delivered by the airlines. After three days of no luggage i made a point of letting the staff know i was waiting on my luggage and to make sure it was sent to my room immediately upon arrival. I complained to the concierge the next day and he worked with the manager and the airline to rectify the problem. Thank goodness for an excellent concierge.
“Not five star”
Having just come back from Malta we stayed at the St Julians. On arrival we found the room did not have a bed for our 13 year old son and we had twin beds. The hotel did eventually get us another bed but were not forthcoming with the double/kings size we had requested. There was no one there to greet you and offer to take your cases up which one would expect of a 5 start hotel. Breakfast was expensive. We ordered room service for breakfast and on the first morning was good but the second time i ordered poached egg on toast it was two eggs on one bit of bread - should i say soggy bread we had no butter with the bread/croissant basket not sauce for the poached egg. we did complain along with our friends who also had a bad experience of room service that morning and the hotel eventually agreed not to charge us. We booked into the hotels Festa event via reception to find that they had booked us into the wrong restaurant. they did manage to fit us in and gave us free drink during the event. concierge was not very good as there was no one there during the evening. We asked abut a good place to get breakfast and was told there were a lot of places out the front but when we went out non of them were open for breakfast. We asked about shopping centre opening hours and again they did not know. They are supposed to be there for information knowledge for guests - not so in this hotel. good 3 star possibly 4 start hotel very expensive and over rated. Would i go back? probably not
“Good experience - recommend”
