“A gem in the Med...........We will be back at least once a year!!”
From the moment we arrived nothing was any trouble for the staff of the hotel. The room which overlooked the pool was more than ample in size and attention to cleanliness was second to none. The whole ambiance of this hotel was so relaxing I didn't want to leave and unfortunately for us then 4 nights here just wasn't enough to consume what this place has to offer. The staff made you feel like they were your best friend and would do anything for you........almost. If you had any problems or required anything organizing that wasn't advertised within the hotel then a simple phone call to reception and it was sorted. The location of the hotel was great if you want a get away from it all & int the winter months the local village seems to shut down but the capital of the island was only a 5 minute drive away. Even in the summer months the island is still fairly quiet & a world away from the hustle & bustle of Malta. With its limestone walls & marble floors throughout this hotel and bedrooms this hotel is kept at a nice cool temperature for it's customers. The spa facilities have every conceivable treatment you could possibly want & the staff here were so accommodating if you had any special requirements or ailments that needed attending to. The food in the restaurants was of good quality & enough of a mixed menu to satisfy the most heartiest of appetites. Overall this hotel should be tried at least once by every visitor of Gozo...... but only if there is room left for my return.
“gozo's best”
Hotel service could not have been better, food great also, wish there were more places to eat ( it was off season so hotel had one restaurant and bar meals available).
“Highly recommended”
This is a 5* hotel resort hotel that gives a 5* service. It's in a very quiet location on a very quiet island and perfect for complete relaxation.
“Fourth visit”
The Kempinski San Lawrenz is a great location to get away from it all. The hotel is situated near the charming small town of San Lawrenz. The hotel has three outdoor pools - one suitable for small children. The indoor pool and spa are also great.
“emandem”
Our 2nd time in Gozo; 1st time in Kempinski. During the 5-night stay, we were very happy with everything everyday. Our room with was always impeccably clean and the poolside view was beautiful (+ the perfect jacuzzi wonderfully relaxing), staff were very helpful & friendly, breakfast was extensive and fresh & delicious. The 2 in-house restaurants were exceptional and the luxurious spa facilities professionally managed. The location is just a bit removed from the rest of the island (but only a bit as you can walk to the capital in 45mins) but really no matter due to the regular hotel courtesy bus. We cannot find any fault. Kempinski Gozo certainly lives up to its 5-star status. What more can we say? - oh yes we remember now: we'll be going back!
“Peaceful location”
Nice hotel which is located in a very quiet area. Service was perfect. One can only complain of the lack of charm of this place which looks really new. The buffet breakfast is the only thing that was not up to the standard of this hotel. The juices weren't fresh, the pastries had an industrial taste and the bacon wasn't crispy at all.
“Tranquility on Gozo”
Upscale, but at the same time relaxing luxury hotel. Located a bit outside of main attractions, and at least 30 minute walk to the coast. It the same time provides great amenities, excellent spa, free transportation in town. Good for a relaxing weekend get away or a short honeymoon.
“A real treat!”
Wow! What a wonderful hotel. Truely 5 star in our opinion (and I travel all over the world and stay in some top notch places on business!) The staff were ALL brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and you didn't feel like they were hovering for tips for such great service. Breakfast buffet was very extensive, high quality and extremely tasty - the terrace where it was served added to the perfect start to the day. The restaurants very good and priced as you'd expect for the quality of the hotel. Even had a picnic breakfast prepared for us for the early ferry home. The swimming pools were great and the spa lovely. Children can't use the main pool but there is a equally lovely family pool on the next terrace down (we went without our children but would be perfectly happy using a family pool!) The locality was perfect - close to two small towns with two restaurants between them (that apparantly close in winter). Walking around in October in the evening was bliss - hardly a sole around. Lovely half hour walk to Azure Window etc (steep climb on way home). If you like peace, quiet and quality this place is for you. If you want nightlife and bars then go somewhere else!
“Beautiful and Relaxing.”
The hotel was like a little piece of paradise and perfect for relaxing. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurants was amazing, first class although a little pricy, but you get what you pay for.
“Brilliantly relaxing place to stay”
I've now stayed at this hotel twice, and both experiences have been excellent. Its really hard to find any fault with this hotel. The staff can't do enough for you, but the service is consistently appropriate and professional. The spa facilities are wonderful - its got such a relaxed feeling about it. The indoor pool and jacuzzi are lovely and often empty. I've only tried a couple of the treatments, but both have been great and good value for money. This hotel is like a haven of calm and tranquility, helped by the feeling that its tucked away in a remote, pleasant setting, where the locals are really friendly. I'd definitely go back at some point.
