“Can't wait to go back. The best hotel I have been so far, stylish, comfortable, perfect place.”

Hotel Juliani is the best hotel I have been so far. It looks very modern, stylish. It's easy to relax in that place. The room is so nice that you can stay there the whole day without wanting going outside to explore other places in Malta. The bed is big and comfortable, you have everything you need in the bathroom and the hotel service is brilliant. On top of that you have swimming pool on the roof of the hotel with the stunning view of the bay in picturesque St. Juliani. The hotel is also very well situated, close to the restaurants and supermarket, selling delicious food. I'm totally satisfied with staying there, I had a great time and I can't wait to come back there again.

“Fantastic Fine in St. Julian's, Malta”

After the challenging drive from Valetta, discovering our hotel was an absolute delight, It is difficult to find as the signage is small, and we did finally find it by parking the car and walking. It is a wonderful, European style boutique hotel, with a great restaurant, an outstanding breakfast, great parking garage, friendly staff and walking distance to other great restaurants. You'll find it next to the McDonalds McCafe, which I'm told has great coffee. I would suggest that this is an adult oriented hotel, as is the upscale restaurant. The hotel was a quick drive to various towns in Malta. Also, the public transit buses stop directly across the street.

Area recommendations
St. Julian's is a small city, with restaurants, shopping and a lovely harbour, and a short drive to Valetta.
When to go
We were there at the end of a Mediterranean cruise (Rome to Rome) in late October/early November. The weather was mild (60 degrees) and very pleasant. I suspect that St. Julian's is very busy as a resort town in the summer,

Many, many restaurants with a wide range of food. No problem finding great dining here.

“Very impressed!”

Beautiful hotel with friendly, accommodating staff. Great location in the heart of St. Julian's. Zest, one of the hotel restaurants, was wonderful and affordable. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Malta. A++!

“Stunning views from Junior Suite”

We very much enjoyed our stay in one of the Junior Suites that had its own balcony with the most impressive views. Worth paying a bit more for the suite (not that big a price difference) as our friend booked a normal room and had no window so felt closed in. Fantastic white fluffy towels with a great range of toiletries that were replaced every day. Hotel location is convenient with bus stop close-by that goes all the way to Valetta. Loads of restaurants within walking distance. Very busy area with a lot of tourists - mostly British! English plug points in room. Free WiFi.

Area recommendations
A visit to Mdina is highly recommended - beautiful area that is a bit more upmarket / maintained than the rest of Malta offering stunning architecture. Had a great meal at Lulu (Mediterranean restaurant) - located in a small street in St Julian’s within walking distance from the hotel. Take an umbrella if rain is forecasted as comes down with a mad force. Almost everything shuts down on a Saturday afternoon and Sunday so don't plan any shopping.

“Best Location on the Island”

Great hotel with friendly staff in the centre of a beautiful bay with some great restaurants and only 5 mins walk from the nightlife area Paceville. Also near the casino and posh area. Hire a car but beware the Maltese drivers are mad! Great island, great weather nice people, everyone speaks english. Definitely stay in this bay if you can. Oh and try Peppinos two doors down from the hotel for great food and lovely people.

Area recommendations
The whole of the St Julians, Silema area and make sure to visit Valetta, beautfiul old city. Gozo on a day trip and down to Xlendi bay for a gorgeous lunch right on the sea front.
When to go
September to end November or March to May - i.e. not in the middle of the summer when it's 40plus degrees!

“Friendly hotel - Great location”

All the staff were approachable and helpful. Location is excellent with everything easily accessible, walking or using the great bus system. For relaxation the roof top pool area was fine with good views of Spinola Bay.

“A true gem.”

Having booked this hotel based on other reviews I am delighted to echo the positives we read before going on holiday. The Juliani is a small and very friendly hotel with free parking, wi-fi and other resident perks. Our room was gorgeous with a jacuzzi bath, lovely decor and a truly impressive balcony view. We were on a room only basis but treated ourselves to a meal in the hotel's restaurant Zest which is not only stunning in decor but the food in presentation and taste was fabulous and the Maitre D for the evening was really helpful in advising on wines. You can be as inclusive as you like with the hotel team as they will not pressure you to chat however if you want to engage with them, you're treated like a part of their extended family which for me was wonderful. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday whilst guests and there was a cake with candle and sparkler and a gift for us both which left me quite humbled. There are so many people working hard behind the scenes that it's not fair to name those with whom you interact in front of house so to speak, however the reception team and bar staff are great ambassadors for the hotel and for their colleagues. Other fab things for guests are DVDs to borrow to watch in your room and the use of a laptop if you need one. You can't stop at the Juliani without mentioning the rooftop pool which is fab with towels provided, bar facilities, comfy seating and the view. Would I go back? In an instant!

“Nice hotel in good location”

Nice hotel, nice clean rooms in a very good location in St Juliens. Rather small lobby/cafe/breakfast area. Staff helpful but not particularly friendly.

“Would use this hotel again”

Great hotel and location. Glad we had a room at the back of the hotel as the front rooms are probably noisey as it is on a main road. Breakfast was good but can't comment on Restaurant as we didn't eat there. Hotel staff all very helpful and friendly. Pool area is small but we always managed to get sunbeds

Area recommendations
Boat trip round the harbour of Valletta to get a better perspective of the City. The 'Malta Experience' in Valetta is a very interesting insight into the history and culture of the Island
