Facilities and staff were everything you would expect from a five star hotel with an exceptionally good rate for the low season. There was a wide choice of eating options and although you would expect high prices in such a hotel, they were not significantly different to those in Valletta city centre e.g. Giovannis. We were warned that we may not like Malta but we found the whole week interesting. The city was clean except after a fun run on Sunday and this was quickly cleared up by the evening. The bus services were cheap and excellent.
General Manager invited all new arrivals to meet him and the staff (including backroom staff) in the bar for drinks and nibbles so they must keep in touch with what the visitor thinks.

The Palace is well located in Sliema, with easy access to Valetta by ferry and St. Julians either on foot or by bus. Personally, I enjoyed the neighborhood, which has a residential feel, despite all the tourists. The 9th-floor roof pool and deck has spectacular views. There's a church very close to the hotel, which rings its bells every fifteen minutes, but I quickly stopped noticing them. There's also a well-stocked supermarket a couple of blocks down the High Street, which came in handy. The Palace's staff were great, and responded quickly and positively to the requests I had.
Beautiful rooms looking over Balutta Bay with easy access to Valletta. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice pools (which we did not have time to use). Paceville within ten minutes walk - ie close enough for restaurants, far enough away to avoid noise.

Hotel with Asian spa, influenced by traditional architecture and located 200 metres from a beautiful promenade and beach. The …More
My husband and I have stayed in this hotel many times over the years. It is located up a back street right in the heart of night club land, not that we are interested in that, and might be off putting to some.On the other hand, it also has its own sandy beach a short walk away and is walking distance to shops and many good restaurants. What makes this hotel for us is the 'club facility' which you gain access to when you have a certain grade of room. It's a wonderful facility located up on the 15th floor with a lovely big terrace overlooking the pool area on the 10th floor below and out over the bay. The terrace is great for breakfast outside in good weather and for drinks in the evening watching the sun go down ....... and afternoon tea if you are up to all the calories!! Lovely helpful staff, so keep going back. Will have to try somewhere else while they undergo a big refurbishment, but I think we'll be back there somehow.
My wife & I enjoyed a lovely stay at the George Hotel.
The Reception Front Desk & Management staff were all Fantastic and could not have been more helpful - they even provided my wife with lessons on how to use her new iPhone...!
The hotel is in a central location with good transport links and is ideal for touring both Malta & Gozo
Have visited Malta many times and this was the first time staying at the Dragonara. Beautiful location with sweeping water views and great facilities. Rooms are large with nice balconies and the hotel is in walking distance to great restaurants and also the Casino. Would definitely stay there again.
It was a pleasant experience generally. Friendly staff, very helpful in many ways including getting around, finding things and in everyway generally. The pools inside and outside were great (including the option of a warm or cold pool). Breakfast was good too. Sammy Omelettes were a winner!
