“Great value hotel in a good location”

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great time and would recommend to anyone looking for a good value city break in Palma.

“definitely to go back!”

The hotel was great!The bedroom was nice, modern, clean, with a big flat screen tv and a huge bed. Same for the bathroom. Although the swimming pool wasn't big enough to swim in, the Spa was nice and it allowed us to have some relax during a rainy day. Staff was formidable. Location was very central. We could reach everything in a few minutes walk. I would definitely recommend it.

“Nice hotel, great staf! pity about the rubish beds!”

Hotel nice but quite small, only thing letting it down was the beds, two camp beds pushed together but the room was quite nice with a big bathroom! good location, short walk to shoping area and only ten min walk to sea front.

Area recommendations
Small town so all places pretty much the same, cathederal was the best area

airport only 15 euros to town centre!

“Simon C”

Great location for the old town and 5 minutes walk from Placa d'Espana, where the airport bus drops you off. Rooms are clean and spacious. I recommend getting a twin bed as these rooms are far larger. Slight caveat is the noise at night from the street as the windows do not appear to be sound proofed. For the money, this hotel is great value!

“Handy for Palma City”

We found Tryp Palma handy for the city- 5 mins walk (south) to cafes and shops, 25mins to the Cathedral, 4 mins to bus stops (including No 1 to/fro the airport). Decent quality hotel. In 30deg+ weather the bedroom aircon /just/ coped! Breakfast dear at E14 pp(ie 56 GBpounds for 4, so declined and went to cafe). Dinner in hotel restaurant was good.

“Would definitely book again”

Hotel in business area of Palma - good location for bus/train station and easy access to airport. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and great shower in bathroom. Easy to walk to main part of town. Would definitely return to this hotel.

“Top class hotel”

We stayed seven nights at Tryp Palma and were very impressed indeed with all the hotel had to offer. If you decide to include breakfast with your stay you will not be disappointed! On the day of our return we were pleased to be offered the use of the spa facilities until our late evening flight, although we had checked out at noon. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Ask for directions to Celler La Premsa for an evening meal - it opens at 7.30pm. We thought it excellent

“Probably principally a business hotel”

Very warm welcome; at breakfast we only had to give our room number on the first day after that they new who we were. One tip to the hotel - why is there only one comfortable chair in a room made for two and only one hook in the bathroom? Rooms were well soundproofed.

“Good solid hotel”

Was ideally situated in the centre of town for shopping but not many restaurants or bars around. Treatments were great- had the best massage ever but jacuzzi wasn't working and the spa was in general need of a refresh. The room was clean & tidy. The bed comfortable although the pillows were too soft. The best part of this hotel was the staff. They were extremely helpful & made us feel very welcome.

“Good location for transport links”

This is our third visit to this hotel and I was a little disappointed to find the fridge door hanging off, altho'it was fixed after we reported it. One lamp was not working but we didn't bother with that. However my biggest surprise was the toiletries - definitely aimed at the male generation - razor, shave foam, 1 toothbrush (I always take my own, but do people really share a toothbrush!)a comb, shoe shine, shower cap. There were makeup wipes, but no shampoo, conditioner or body lotion. The other unfortunate part was the curremcy exchange rate, which made this an expensive stay considering breakfast was not included (it always has been in the past). If you have a drink at the bar, make it a hot beverage - my husband ordered a double bacardi & coke - over 11Euros! If you are reasonably fit, I can recommend a walk to Bellver Castle, then along to Pueblo Espanja - both very intering sites, and fab views from the Castle. The new bus/train station is excellent - down the excalator at Placa Espanja - get a bus timetable from the Tourist Information - it gives times and costs of journeys. Also Bus No.1 to/from the airport costs 2Euros and takes about 20 mins, running every 15 mins.

Traveller's tip
If you have Nationwide Debit card, use it to draw cash as you need it - your get good rates of exchange and they don't charge a fee. My husband bought a twin pack of Bacardi at the airport on special at 21 English pounds. I bought a twin pack on my N/wide debit card and paid euros, and it cost me 18.76 English
