An excellent resort

Posted 17-Aug-2014
Pros: Good, varied food and facilities
Cons: It would be helpful to have a water fountain in the gym. The movement-sensors were not perfect, so the lights sometimes turned off if the room door wo
Location: The local bus goes every 15 minutes to Alcudia in one direction and Puerta Pollensa in the other, but the last bus is at 20:45 from Alcudia.
The accommodation is very comfortable and the facilities and food are very good indeed. The beach by the resort is not great, but the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to a different beach on six days (depart 10am, return 1pm, sign up evening before). However, the coach places filled quickly in August. Hotel staff were enthusiastic and helpful, and activities such as salsa dancing and aquarobics provided variety. The gym was well-equipped for a hotel.

Great Hotel and grounds, close to local ports

Posted 15-Aug-2014
Pros: Food, great pools, great staff, local towns for cafes and resturaunts and beaches.
Cons: Evening entertainment was not great.
Location: Port Pollentia Port Acludia (include old town with Roman Ruins)
Fantastic stay at hotel pollentia. me and my wife went for 5 nights away from our children and couldn't have had a better time. the hotel has everytihign you need on site, however both port Acludia and Port Pollentia are only a 5 minute bus ride away!! The all inclusive provides non stop alcohol (San Miguel on Tap) and three buffets a day, along with poolside ice ccreams and bar snacks galore. Would go back!!

Great hotel - perfect for families

Posted 13-Aug-2014
Pros: Friendly staff. Good food choices. Entertainment / activities on offer.
Cons: Stop people 'reserving' their sun loungers!
Location: Fabulous beaches nearby - we went to Puerto Pollensa and tried paddle boarding. Great mountain restaurant - Es Guix. Stunning Caves at Campanet.
Visited at the end of July 2014. Had a wonderful time - children loved the large swimming pool and evening entertainment. It's a big resort and can feel busy at times - the pool area can be very busy - but because it's so large there's still plenty of space. Many people 'reserve' their pool loungers first thing in the morning which is really annoying. Would be good if the hotel tried to stop this practice. However, we still managed to always find some spare loungers. It's well worth heading for the local beaches - the hotel runs a daily free bus to local beaches. Or there is a regular bus service to Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia which you can pick up from right outside the hotel. We stayed in a Village room - perfect for us as a family of 4. Mosquitoes can be a problem - so take repellant spray with you (or they sell in the resort shop). Hotel has lots of activities on offer. Car hire through the customer services desk was super easy and relatively cheap. We hired a car just for a day to head off into the mountains and explore the area - well worth doing. The Hobby Club staff are on hand to give you information and advice on where to visit.

Great family hotel

Posted 07-Aug-2014
We really enjoyed our family holiday here. This is a well run hotel that is located in a undeveloped coastal strip. The beach is directly out front but is stony and narrow and seperated by a very busy road. There is no proper road crossing. However the bay is beautiful, and there is a free bus to nicer beaches nearby. The food is good, plenty of choice and variation. Pool area is also very nice. Staff are friendly and work very hard.

Great family complex

Posted 05-Aug-2014
This is the 2nd time we've been and we love it. Apart from the usual issues with having to reserve sunbeds its a great complex with friendly staff and fab food on the all inclusive option. We'll definitely be going again next year

Excellent hotel for families

Posted 22-Jul-2014
Pros: Very good kids club and entertainment. Feels safe and the kids were very happy.
Cons: Room maintenance, several things required fixing eg towel rail and shower head.
Location: Close to Puerto Pollencia and lots of good restaurants and bars. Lovely beaches and rocks pools where kids can find crabs and star fish.
Great hotel for families. Good sports facilities for those liking an active holiday. Excellent bike hire shop in hotel grounds as well as tennis courts and water sports. Tuition available for scuba diving and windsurfing/kite surfing school.

Had a great holiday, will definitely return

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: The 2 pools, the sporting facilities on hand, huge variety of the breakfast buffet, and being very close to the old town ,Porta Pollensa, and the marina
Cons: If you are not fully inclusive the choice of food at night is very limited to a few snacks in the bar, would improve , and expand the choice.
Location: Good location, loads of watersports and places to visit close by, Porta Pollensa and Alcudia old town a few mins in the car, alcudia main beach 10.
Pollentia club is a very nice hotel quite close to porta pollenca, we had a car which enabled us to travel around and see other parts of Mallorca, of which Formentor and Porta Pollensa are both worth a visit. The buffet breakfast is brilliant, everything is hot and filled up immediatley they run out of something. The 2 pools are lovely, busy, but having 2 children with us was not a problem, although I am not a fan of getting up and putting your towel down early, and if you do not join the masses, then quite often no where left!! Saying that, both pools were lovely and clean and we had a great time. I found the staff to be very friendly and very helpful at all times. The night entertainment was also very good, again all the staff working very hard to please. Will definitely return.

Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds.

Posted 16-Jul-2014
Pros: We liked the quiet location. We had been concerned about visiting a "resort" but it was as busy or as quiet as we wanted it to be.
Cons: For the price we paid, we felt disappointed to have to pay to use the safe in our room.
Lovely hotel. Easy transfer from airport. Good bus service into Alcudia and Pollenca. Staff very friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Esther, who kept our room tidy and in order. Furnishings in room a little tired but comfortable enough. The shower was a little underpowered for a four star hotel.
