“Mixed feelings”

The hotel suited our requirements in that it was close to a beach and also had a swimming pool. To get to Palma de Mallorca required a trip of about 25 minutes by bus, which left from the end of the road, but the buses are cheap (you can buy a 10-trip pass from booths in the city) and fairly frequent so we did not find this a problem. There are cafes and restaurants nearby if one does not wish to go into Palma to eat, but the great range of restaurants in the city makes this a more appealing option. The staff were generally pleasant and helpful. Our only complaint was that the hotel advertises that is has free Wi-fi in the rooms, but this was not available at all during the 4 nights we stayed there. It seemed as if this might be a frequent occurrence, which is very annoying for travellers who require easy internet access. Free Wi-fi was not even available in the lobby, although one could use the 'pay' machines if desperate.

“Overall adequate. Good location. Lovely pool area”

Not bad value for money. Service good. Clean sheets and towels every other day otherwise room not cleaned well. Bathrooms old and shabby, in need of refurbishment. Breakfasts very poor. Pool and garden area lovely. Safety deposit boxes in rooms a joke - opened by using credit card and not even bolted down. Adequate for our purpose.

“Good deal, apart from breakfast”

Good cost x benefit. Would be even better with breakfast included. Bus to city centre is 2 blocks from the hotel and very frequent. The reception lady was very helpful. Only issue was regarding the paid breakfast. Glasses were all dirty (supposedly washed!)... and we had to choose the less dirty... options were not fresh, like dried cheeses and ham....bread was the only good thing. Better to have the breakfast outside of the hotel.

“Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Kreuzfahrthafens und unweit des Strandes Cala Mayor”

Empfehlung ja, wenn man bereit ist, die folgenden Einschränkungen zu akzeptieren. Eigentlich mit dem Hotel auf Grund des Preises zufrieden. Man ist ja nur zum Schlafen da. Zimmer sind jedoch extrem hellhörig. Man kann jedes Wort oder den TV der Nachbarzimmer mithören. Das Bad sah schon ziemlich heruntergekommen aus und das Wasser in der Dusche war nicht regulierbar (nur heiß). Ansonsten sehr schöne Poolanlage für ein Drei-Sterne-Hotel. Diesen hätte man im Oktober (tolles Wetter) auch benutzen können. MItarbeiter an der Rezeption sind hilfsbereit und nett.

Area recommendations
MIt dem Bus Nr. 3 (Haltestelle etwa 200m entfernt) kann man sehr gut in die Innenstadt von Palma fahren.
Getting there
Vom Flughafen in Palma fährt man mit der Linie 1 (fährt alle 10-20Min.) bis zum Placa d'Espana und steigt dort in die Linie 3 um. Ticket aus Linie 1 aufbewahren, dann bekommt man im Bus Nr. 3 Rabatt auf das Folgeticket. Fahrt dauert ca. 50 Min. (mit Umstieg)
Shopping
Unweit des Hotels befindet sich ein großes Shopping Center (Porto Pi). Auf dem Weg dorthin, kann man jedoch Lebensmittel in der großen Lebensmittelkette Mercadona (Mo-Sa 9.15-21.15 Uhr) kaufen.
Outdoors or beach
Der Strand am Cala Mayor ist sauber, Wasser ebenfalls. Fußweg dorthin ca. 500m. Tipps erhält man im Hotel. Wer jedoch dort eine Strandliege besetzt, muss damit rechnen, dass dafür abkassiert wird (kann für eine Familie mit Kindern und mehreren Liegen teuer werden).

“Helt okej för mig”

Hotellet är lite slitet men har ett bra läge, vi hade havsutsikt. Allt det som jag värdesätter fanns, rejäl frukost (buffé), AC på rummet, rena handdukar varje dag och hårtork i badrummet. Hotellpersonalen är mycket trevlig och hjälpsam. Det tar ca tio minuter att gå till stranden, Playa Calamayor, där kan man hyra solstolar och äta lunch. Att ta sig till centrala Palma går mycket bra det finns en busshållplats inte långt från hotellet. Bussarna går ofta och det är billigt att åka. det tar inte mer än en kvart att komma in till stan.

When to go
Jag reste till Palma i början av oktober och kan verkligen rekommendera andra att göra samma sak. Vädret var sommarvarmt, vattnet fortfarande ljummet och stranden fick vi ha nästen för oss själva.

“Hotel buono”

L'esperienza dell'hotel è stata tutto sommato positiva.Ottimo panorama dall'ultimo piano (il settimo), il wifi non prendeva in stanza si deve uscire almeno sul corridoio, la pulizia è buona e la camera abbastanza grande con un balconcino.

“Das Hotel liegt 10 Min entfernt zum Strand Cala Major”

Die an der Rezeption sind pfiffig und wissen Bescheid. Das Frühstück ist okay; aber einmal benutze Tische werden nicht abgeräumt. Schlafen bei offenem Fenster kann man aber vergessen, da der Verkehr doch zu laut ist. Alternativ mussten wir die Klimaanlage einschalten; die war erfreulicherweise leise.

Area recommendations
Der Strand "Cala Major" hat mehr Flair als der große Strand "Playa de Palma". Der Strand ist flacher und in den Wellen werden weniger schwarze Algen gewälzt. Ein Café liegt direkt am Strand und ein Supermarkt am Strandeingang fürs Bierchen sind nicht zu verachten.
