Amazing breakfast, good location and great value

Posted 13-Nov-2014
Pros: Breakfast, comfy beds, lots of hangers in wardrobes, good shower and all the toiletries you need (very helpful when travelling with hand luggage only)
Cons: Creaky bedroom doors all around, ours included. Please someone get some WD40!
Location: Opposite marina, 20 min walk to Cathedral. Our fav restaurant was Forn de Saint Joan in the town centre, and the quirky Abaca cocktail bar opposite.
Myself and three female friends visited Palma in November, so didn't pay the extra for a sea facing room as we didn't expect to spend much time on the balcony. Just as well, as our room overlooked a very shabby derelict hotel swimming pool full of overgrown vegetation at the side of our hotel. Not a problem for us, but in the summer we would probably have paid the extra for a front facing room. What we saved, we spent in the fabulous choice of restaurants in Palma. The hotel was great, very clean and efficiently run, full of sailing people attending the conferences held every day in the hotel (it is right amidst the harbour so inevitable attracted the yachting fraternity). Our room was really comfortable, had a sofa and table which was perfect for relaxing in the room for early evening drinks before hitting the town. Breakfast was one of the best buffets we had ever experienced. There was absolutely everything you could wish for. Check out at 12 meant we didn't have to rush off first thing. the only downside was the walk into the main town centre was about 20-25 mins, but we soon discovered how cheap the taxis are. About 5 euros into town, only 18 euros to and from the airport. Overall, a great stay and I would recommend this hotel.

nice hotel close to the marina

Posted 10-Nov-2014
Pros: Staff were helpful in advising of bus routes, places to go etc. They even delivered a complimentary bottle of fizz to our room as it was my birthday.
Cons: rooms ok but corridors looking a little tired. they have recently refurbished the rooms overlooking the pool and harbour.
Location: about 20mins walk to the old town. safe to walk at night. close to harbour so interesting to look at boats. Lovely view of cathedral from terrace.
The hotel is about 30mins by no 1 bus from the airport and is very near the Auditorium. great for conferences and weddings lovely reception area. Pleasant staff. we had a room at the back which was comfortable and clean although it overlooked the flats behind the hotel. They have recently refurbished the rooms overlooking the swimming pool and terrace which then overlooks the marina. There is a spa and indoor pool as well which is extra cost. The breakfasts were good. Book when you arrive at the hotel as its cheaper than booking in advance. Plenty of choice and the meal could be taken out on the terrace. Great temperatures in November. Would stay there again

Great hotel, not far from the centre of Palma.

Posted 05-Nov-2014
Pros: Close to the airport. Well maintained and clean with a very imposing Reception area. Excellent Reception staff. Lovely breakfast.
Cons: The area immediately outside the hotel needs to be kept as clean as the inside of the hotel.
Location: Restaurants, boat trip, Palma, Palma Cathedral
Beautiful entrance and Reception area. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Check in was very fast and efficient and the Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were initially allocated a room on the side of the hotel. The room was lovely but sadly overlooked a derelict building with rubble. We asked to be upgraded to a room with a Port view. This was done within minutes and the extra bed was arriving before we even go there! The view was lovely and really made the holiday. I have rated the hotel excellent in all areas but this was because of the view. The hotel was not full and it would have been nice to have been allocated a room with a view initially and then we would not have seen the more unpleasant view, which is very unfortunate for the hotel. The breakfast was fabulous. The staff very attentive and ensuring everything was fresh and re filled as necessary. It was great to eat on the terrace outside. The pool area was spotless and there were plenty of sun loungers to accommodate the guests at the hotel. The sun loungers were really comfortable and it was great to have pool towels readily available. There was a life guard in attendance who was very friendly and helpful making sure everyone had towels and could operate the parasols!! The spa was also an added bonus at the hotel. The beds were very comfy and the room was big enough.

We enjoyed our stay . Had a good room overlooking the Marina towards The Cathedral . We did not use any other facilities in the hotel . ie Did not eat there or use the swimming pool or Spa . this was our choice as we prefer to be with the Local people not other tourists !!

Nice 4* hotel, best breakfast but noisy area

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Nice hotel, the rooms need a bit of tlc and the bathrooms better cleaning. The bed was comfortable and we made use of the outdoor pool which was great. Did not get too much sleep though as we did not realise that this area is the nightclubbing one, so lots of screaming and shouting during the night. It's also a 20 min walk to the cityo or about 5 bus stops. Amazing breakfast though and fabulous views.

Nice hotel, with beautiful views of the harbor

Posted 04-Oct-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Asking at the time off registration for any customization of room ( bed).
Location: Excellent location to explore the city by walking starting from the hotel
The only problem was the pillows that were very hard and my wife had as a consequence a severe neck pain that has required physiotherapy and medications.

Nice hotel central to all amenities

Posted 03-Oct-2014
Pros: Close to harbour and amenities
Location: very central and close to Palma, and for walks along the marina, and bus stops, and for places to eat
My wife and I had a very enjoyable 4 night stay at this hotel and could not fault the hotel or friendly and efficient staff. We had a side view of the marina and a very clean and bright room with spacious balcony, we thought that it was value for money and would definitely recommend this hotel

Great position overlooking harbour.

Posted 30-Sep-2014
Pros: Breakfast overlooking the harbour
Cons: Welcome for arrivals. Umberallas for use when raining outside.
Location: Close to harbour and a few nice restauarants. 20 min walk to cathedral.
Breakfast superb. Experience let down by poor welcome at arrival on reception by an abrupt older member of staff. A smile would have been good and he assumed we knew where we were going. Luckily we did as was our third stay. Perhaps now our last
