Lovely hotel with great facilities

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: The staff, the breakfast, the beds etc.
Cons: The noise in the immediate environment of the hotel, particularly in the early hours of the morning.
Location: A perfect location for investigating the beautiful city of Palma - a very relaxing half hour walk to the lovely Old Town, and all it's facilities.
This hotel is in a very central position in Palma, with magnificent views of the Marina. We rang the hotel and upgraded from our original booking. The room was lovely - comfy beds, clean, and providing everything required. However, the noise from outside the hotel was a little disconcerting - only to be expected in August in Majorca I suppose. We spoke to the hotel management and they happily moved us to a quieter spot. They also told us that they are trying to make the environment around the hotel quieter. The breakfast was one of the best we have had the pleasure of consuming, and the bar area by the pool was excellent. I would certainly return to this hotel.

Stay here

Posted 23-Aug-2014
From start to Finnish we were very happy here! The staff were fantastic and friendly. The food was faultless with a very nice selection for breakfast. If you have a room service burger ensure you are very hungry as they are of ample size. Location is great, if you want sandy beach you will need to travel 10min on foot as the beech is either side of the marina. The hotel is in the centre of the marina. Fantastic restaurants are just a few doors down. The hotels restaurant was very nice, we ate there multiple times as the food was that good! Get up early and put your towels down to ensure a sun bed as they go very fast. The spa centre is optimum and well worth the money! One of the best Indian oil massages we've had to date.. Not much in the way of entertainment but everything is a small walk away.

Long Weekend

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: Breakfast was great!!
Cons: Change the bedroom carpet in room 117!
Location: Get a cab to the old town, its beautilful, great restaurants and really lovely!
We went to Mallorca for a long weekend, the hotel reception, public areas were clean and looked new. I was really sad to see on day one that at 8am every single sund bed had a towel on it, seriously whats wrong with people?! However at 10am the wonderful life guard arrived and removed every towel that had been put on a bed so people that were actually at the pool could lie down, she was great! Breakfast was really very good, great offering of just about everything you could think of, pool side drinks also good. The street outside was noisy at night with people who had too much to drink, but on the whole the hotel was perfect for a long weekend. Bedroom carpet is the only negative point, it was in poor condition and not hoovered cleaned behind the doors, dirt clearly visible.

Mixed bag

Posted 17-Aug-2014
The location was superb, 15 min drive from the airport, right in the seafront, bars and restaurants a few years away and a great view of the port from the pool terrace. Can't fault the staff; helpful, polite, cheerful and couldn't do enough for you. The room (classic room with city view) was larger than expected and the bed was unbelievably confortable but the 'city view' was the back of a run down apartment block, at road height on a very, VERY noisy road (banging and shouting at 3am) and a spiked railing. Not a 'view' at all and we had to keep the curtains closed most of the stay so as to stop people staring in to the room. We found an ear plug under the bed on the first night and The mini bar was also not fully stocked on arrival which worried us that we would be charged for something we hadn't taken but this didn't happen thankfully. I would go back but I would opt for a sea view and pay the extra.

Comfortable Hotel

Posted 31-Jul-2014
Cons: More sunbeds and parasols!
Location: Try The Boathouse Restaurant. Food is good, service is a little hit and miss but it's the best for location in the area - adjacent to the marina.
Good hotel with lovely modern reception. Our room was one of the rooms yet to be refurbished, whilst it was clean, I would describe the room as 'tired'. The newly refurbished rooms are very attractive, i had a sneaky look in one whilst the door was open. The big downside to this hotel is that there are not enough sunbeds or parasols for the size of the hotel. It did cause much irritation to a lot of guests. We were on our sunbeds from 07.30 and were shocked to find that sunbeds are reserved with towels before 7am! If you want to book a hotel purely to sunbathe and use the swimming pool you may want to consider staying elsewhere.

Lovely location, beautiful view.

Posted 25-Jul-2014
Pros: The breakfast was brilliant and all the staff very helpful.
Cons: Of course the sunbeds situation!. We couldn't be bothered to get into the mentality of bed saving. They could do with a few extra sunbeds.
Location: Lovely location a nice walk around the bay to the town and a good bit of exercise. Close to everything Taxis wait outside and bus close by.
We stayed for 7 days and found the staff to be really helpful in all areas Lovely walk into town, a really good holiday.

Lovely room shame about the view

Posted 17-Jul-2014
Pros: Staff
Cons: Land at the back needs attention
Location: Great for food and access to Palma centre Next to yacht marina which was lovely
The hotel was situated at the heart of Palma's yacht front and had excellent access to lovely restaurants The facilities were ok but the pool and beds by it were totally inadequate for the numbers staying in the hotel The spa was excellent and the hotel staff were friendly and very efficient Food was also superb The biggest disappointment was the view from our room We were located at the back and overlooked a derelict area with run down buildings and a series of bins for rubbish which were constantly in use Hardly what you come to Palma to see

Good location:10 minute walk into centre of Palma

Posted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: See above: Location, clean, excellent breakfast
Cons: More sun beds in pool area.Canopies on room balcony - sun can make it too hot Happy Hour 5-6 pm so customers can relax with a drink in pool area
Location: Excellent location for Palma centre and beach - either Illeatas (by bus) or Palma 15-20 minute walk. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby
Really good location for centre of Palma, overlooking the harbour with Palma Cathedral view. Catch the bus to Illetas beach from round the corner of hotel - 3 Euros return. Catch the bus to / from airport to hotel, 5 mins from the hotel. Because of good location of hotel all buses run past on the main road. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Read that breakfasts were good - and they certainly lived up to expectation and food was constantly replenished. Pool area is lovely with fab views over Palma bay - only problem was that sun beds were taken very early in the morning. Perhaps they could provide more sun beds if they moved some of the outside tables away after breakfast - because they are not serving lunches? Would definitely recommend this hotel. Good base and ticks all the boxes for a good value weekend or 4-5 days break for every age
