Lovely hotel. Spa was great. Staff really helpful and kind. Pool was heated, which was a lovely surprise. Lunch at pool could include more veggie options. Very peaceful stay.

A bit away from the airport but in a really great area. Very quiet, clean and the staff were excellent. There is a good beach about 2 kilometers or so away in the next town. I believe they have a shuttle that goes there but we had a rental car and it was really easy to get to. Breakfast was great and the evening buffet was as well but a bit on the expensive side but worth it if you are hungry. I would recommend this place.

I stayed at the Hilton this week (6-9 th June) having booked on the basis of the profile and great experience in the Hilton Tulum I seemed a great option. I booked a suite, upon arrival there was only 1 member of staff (11pm) and I was asked to find / make my own way to the room. In a vast building that was not a great start. The room, a suite was dreadful. Located in the lighthouse building on floor 5. It was pitch black, no natural light, balcony was covered in moss and sludge with waste water running on to it. Despite asking to be moved I was offered a same suite or downgraded to standard room. Ironically the standard room was far nice with a great view towards the bay. However, Hilton refused to credit me for downgrading from a suite to standard. Good in general is also very, very basic. Rude staff in the restaurant who told me to leave for wearing flip flops (despite guests walking round in sandals - clearly no sense in the rules). Food standard was also dreadful. For a 5 star property it was more like a basic buffet or harvester in the uk. The property is not 5 star, it’s very old and dated. Lovely swimming pool area and views from the pool side I would say. However, if you’re expecting 5 star it is more 3 plus. Beware if booking and seeking luxury, it is not luxury at all. Also prepare for pretty bang ordinary service. Shame as this really had influenced my decision not to use Hilton again.

I like Galatzo!
The first I visited Galatzo was in 1977 where tipical of Europian traditional style Hotel. At that time, it adopted a course menu in Dinner and all waiters weared tuxedo. Guests also weared suits every single time. Today, it changed to buffet style and guests weared casual. Time goes on! The number of employee is not so many so that you may not expect excellent services. But anyway, the Hotel was quiet, magnificent scenery and good atmosphere. I like Galatzo very much. Since the Hotel location is isolated, I recomend you to use a car-rental.

Huge hotel with no character
Firstly avoid this part of the island and go further East as it has completely lost its charm due to the over building in the area. The hotel was perched on the top of the hill and without a car it would have been a nightmare. The hotel in itself is massive with no character. Everything is over priced. 80% of the clientele is German and rude. Sunbeds are booked from 7.00 am although it id not allowed to do that. The hotel management prefer to keep a close eye unfortunately so forget about enjoying the pools. The breakfast buffet is boring, very limited and the same everyday. Fake grass seems to be in high fashion throughout the hotel! Am overall very disappointing experience. Avoid that place.

Family friendly hotel
We stayed here for 5 nights with our grandchildren, we enjoyed it very much. Our only complaint was the distance we had to walk from our room to the main hotel, we did ask to be moved to another room however the Hotel was fully booked.

Very nearly paradise...
A fantastic hotel - perfect if you are looking to get away from it all and truly relax. Spectacular views of the coastline and beautiful grounds. We could not fault the staff who were so helpful and the food was excellent. However, a few very basic things could have improved our experience, and unfortunately judging from other reviews, they are common problems… The management really needs to address these issues: 1. Soft drinks are extortionately expensive. 5 euros for water and 7 euros for a slushie (frozen water!) is far too much, especially when you cannot drink the tap water at the resort, temps are nearing 40 degrees, and there is no shop nearby. Where most of the guests come from, water is free! 2. The hotel was clearly over-booked and there were not enough sunbeds for everyone. We spent the first day of our holiday sitting on chairs. Soon learnt you have to get up before 8am to save a bed or you miss out! 3. I’d carefully selected the room we wanted based on reviews from other guests. Upon arriving we were sent to a completely different room - an Apartsuite in a new purpose-built block at the other end of the resort - boring, soul-less and far from everything. We were told the hotel was fully booked so we’d been 'upgraded' - it was awful frankly and well below our expectations. The following day we were finally moved to the lovely room we’d booked. Fine after that but a disappointing start to the holiday. It seems others had a similar experience...

The room facilities are good / adequate a pleasing sea view from my veranda. A quiet area and time to relax and enjoy peace and quiet. The most pleasing thing is the food. I recommend staying for half board it really is worth the extra cost as they serve fresh fish and meat cooked by individual chef in front of you. You do not get the drap of being bored with the menu choices as the menu is slightly different every day. A huge variety of breakfast and dinner choices. Excellent. I do believe this is a good choice of hotel as it is in a secluded area away from the main hotel area and it has a secondary pool area and also indoor pool facilities. The staff are nice and pleasant. A nice romantic retreat for lovers or couples.

needed a rest and it worked . nice walk into village and the Hacienda was the best steak I had in a while . perhaps someone could have guided us to our room on the 1st night at midnight when we were tired and took us a while to find the steps down to level 7 and then the lift to level 2 and our room

Exceeded our expectations for the price. Beautiful, immaculately maintained hotel. Great pools, lovely greenery, incredible views and great food. Don't be put off that its not by the beach as the beaches are pretty mass touristy; but if you want to go there the hotel offers a free hourly shuttle anyway. The town is super beach casual, and again very touristy but has everything you need. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! Luxury hotel at a really reasonable price! And the massages in the day spa were superb!

Family holiday at Hotel Maritim Galatzo, Majorca
Good location only 25 minutes away from Palma airport. Excellent location with views over Med, 2 lovely swimming pools, very good choice of food at breakfast and the evening buffet. We were made most welcome when we checked in and all the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Good value for money. We wanted a relaxing holiday with guaranteed sunshine and we were not disappointed.

Wonderful hotel with views that will take your breath away! beautiful gardens and pools and plenty of comfy loungers and umbrellas to relax on. Shuttle bus provided seats for 8 people at a time to transport them into Pegeura. Breakfast was amazing, buffet restaurant nice on an evening, I found al la cart restaurant had a limited menu and no vegetarian options. Staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend it for a relaxing holiday.

We had a great time in this hotel, it looks like lots of really nice families stay here for the summer holidays. The facilities are good but the 'comfort room' was not. I advise avoiding this room & upgrading if you can. The 'comfort room' belongs in a 1 star resort. The reception staff are nice & polite but the waiting staff at the Pool restaurant were not. The wifi (provided by fractals) can take almost 2 hours to get past the landing page (to login) and then it is very very slow, unless not many people are around.

Lovely Hotel in a beautiful location
The hotel has great facilities. We enjoyed using the gym every day, although it would be nice if there had been drinking water provided every day as it was very hot. We also made use of the tennis courts. The hotel is on top of a hill and has wonderful views of the sea and the town below. The gardens were beautiful and well looked after and both pools were lovely. Even though the hotel was very busy we were still able to get sun loungers every day. We stayed in a superior room which had a large balcony and was in the main building which made getting anywhere very easy. The staff were always helpful, kind and courteous. The buffet breakfast is very good and offers a good selection. Personally I didn't enjoy the buffet dinners as it felt a little rushed and wasn't a very relaxing experience. It also would have been good to be able to dine after 9.30 The evening entertainment was mixed and it would have been nice if the bar was open later than 11pm.

We felt welcomed and the staff did everything to make us comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Lovely views. Nice refreshing pools and a quiet spa with indoor pool. Evening entertainment was also tasteful.

Nice hotel to relax at in the off season.
Staff were pleasanr, especially the evening meal restaurant staff. Hotel isolated but if you are driving then the island is all close by. The lower garden needs a lot of attention, not even pleasant to stroll down through. Peguera is a long walk away but is a pretty glum place. Hotel very quiet when I visited in Jan 2012, I would expect it to be a lot busier as the season arrives. Lack of TV channels for UK interest, news, news and more news.

Galatzo Visit
Great room, very clean and the resort has beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately the restaurants all closed the day we arrived or the following day and we were left with little choices but to leave via taxi to a surrounding city for afternoon and evening meals. Wish the hotel would have been up front about that and let us know that during our stay there would be no food choices. They waited until we were looking for places to eat on the resort to mention that. Would have only taken a quick email especially since we were booked there for 5 days with kids and had booked 6 weeks in advance of our stay. Would not recommend the hotel based on that.

Hotel quite isolated from activities, about a two mile walk alonga lit path, not a pretty walk. Taxis are always available and the hotel has a regular shuttle service. Would stay ther4 again out of school holidays!

Galatzo Hotel
The Galatzo Hotel was a wonderful stay. We were given a beautiful room with ocean view on the 7th floor and it was perfect. The hotel is located outside of Paguera (small town) and they offered shuttle service but we walked into town a 20 min stroll. Hotel was quiet, private and very pretty. Staff were very nice and accommodating to our requests. Our flight was late afternoon so after checkout they held our bags and we got to use the pool and shower services in the spa complementary. The Halfboard deal was great, the breakfast and dinner offer was very good and great selection. Beautiful views. I went with a friend but would be great for family or couples trips very private. Great outdoors, great pool, not so great room
You go there because of the fantastic outside facilities: spacious garden-like grounds, various pools, chillout areas, andgreat views of the coastline. The room, even though it had seaview, left much to be desired: the bed was too narrow and the room had stains. Despite their inability to provide clean glasses for orange juice we recommend the breakfast buffet as it offered an excellent range of options and good quality food. The omelettes and crepes need a heating plate.
