“Four Star European Style - Five Star is Better”

AMAZING turquoise beach with at least 100 feat of shallow calm water is an ideal setting for families with kids, beach is impeccable. Hotel is great but lacks the "carribean" all-inclusive feel or ammenities, we did a half-board option with a 21 month old baby and the hotels food was exceptional for adults but not enough kid-friendly foods like hot oatmeal, or chicken soup, etc. (none of that was to be found). You have to pay and reserve your beach chair (which was shocking for us) and there isnt enough shade on the beach if you want to spend all day there. The pool, hotel grounds, layout, etc. is impeccable and so is the hotel location. Overall it is a great place, just not really what you would expect. For example the "half board" option meant that the waiters threatened us to pay for tap water or buy bottled water (which might be acceptable for a European) but no for an American. The head waiter and hotel manager were very accomodating and gave us milk. The rooms do have a proper kitchennete and if we would have prepared more, we could have technically cooked for our child, and made oatmeal (but again, thats not the purpose of going to a resort). All in all, a really great place - but we would probably still stay at a 5 star next time, but definitely in the same area and on the same beach.

Area recommendations
Bahia de Alcudia, and get a rental car from the airport so you can explore the island.
When to go
September is low season which means less crowded, warm waters, and great weather.
