“Everything perfect”

The situation is the best of the Bay. The hotel is a 3 stars, no luxury, but good food, confortable rooms, beach on your doorstep, swimming pool and gardens very well kept. Service, location and prices 10/10

“Zimmer mit Grundausstattung sehr laut!”

Da bei unserer Buchung die Grund- /Standard- /Superior-Zimmer alle mit der gleichen Lage-Beschreibung (Stadt-, Pool- oder Meerblick) versehen waren und wir kein Interesse an Fernseher & Co. hatten, haben wir uns für die Grundausstattung entschieden. Vor Ort hatten wir dann natürlich ein Zimmer mit Stadtblick (Straße mit regem Verkehr und heruntergekommen Ferienwohnungen) und man sagte uns, dass ein Zimmer mit Grundausstattung grundsätzlich mit Stadtblick wäre. Die Zimmer sind für den Preis i.O. aber die Holz-Balkontüre zur Straße hat keine Dichtungen, daher ist es im Zimmer extrem laut. Jede halbe Stunde fährt ein Bus vorbei und um 6 Uhr morgens kommt die Müllabfuhr. Wir mussten uns 2 Tage immer wieder an die Rezeption wenden bis wir endlich in ein Standardzimmer mit ruhigem Pool-/Waldblick umziehen konnten. Dieses hatte zwar auch keine bessere Balkontüre aber es war wesentlich leiser. Wie sie sehen wurde nun die Zimmerbeschreibung entsprechend angepasst. Die nicht vorhandene Schallisolierung ist auf jeden Fall ein dickes Minus und eine Zumutung, selbst bei dem günstigen Preis. Ansonsten waren wir mit dem Hotel zufrieden, insgesamt sauber und freundlich. Safe und Kühlschrank sind durch Gebühr (je ca. 2€/Tag) zu bekommen. Das Hotel ist weiter zu empfehlen, solange man kein Zimmer mit Grundausstattung wählt und seine Ansprüche dem Preis anpasst. Überwiegender Anteil der Gäste stammt aus England und ist jenseits der 50.

Area recommendations
Die direkte Umgebung ist eher ruhig. Wenig lokale und Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Zu Fuß 15 Minuten an der Promenade entlang kommt man dann in ein etwas belebteres Gebiet mit vielen Restaurants (meiste sehr touristisch und mit der gleichen Speißekarte). Das Hotel verfügt über einen schöne Sandstrand und gleich nebenan fängt der Nationalpark an, welcher zu Ausflügen und Wanderungen einlädt.
Dining
ca. 15 Gehminuten liegt an der Promenade das kultige Restaurant/Bar Jamaica. Bob Marley Musik den ganzen Tag und Kellner im Reaggee-Look. Dazu gute Cocktails aus kultigen Gläsern, die Speißekarte und Preise sehen aus wie in jedem Restaurant an der Promenade (preiswert). Zu empfehlen ist die Paella. Wer gehobener und wirklich gut essen gehen will ist im Mandeligo gut aufgehoben. Die 7 Gehminuten zum kleinen aber feinen Restaurant sind schnell vorbei. In 2. Reihe zur Promenade erwartet einen ein mit zahlreichen Schiffsmodellen und Seemannszeug bestücktes Restaurant, welches mit einer hochwertigen und landestypischen Küche glänzt. Die Preise liegen zwischen 13-25 Euro. Eine Reservierung ist zu empfehlen, da die Plätze begrenzt sind.
