Lovely hotel in a quiet location neAr the beach

Posted 26-Jul-2014
Pros: Location and cleanliness . The hotel terraces on the sea edge provided excellent food for lunch and entertainment alternate evenings where you could r
Cons: No tea and coffee making facilities in the room . Fridge so packed with their drinks could not even put a bottle of your own water in
Location: Location is excellent, quiet yeta short walk along a pine walk to town
I took a holiday with my 8 yr old granddaughter ,this hotel met our needs . The location was relaxing and the proximity to the very warm sea and water sports compensated for the small pool. I do think guests should be able to use the larger pool attached to the hotels apartments next door This pool is in the sun and larger Hotel not really child centred but not sure other than the pool how this could change

Holiday stay at Hotel ILLA D'Or

Posted 25-Jun-2014
Pros: Clean, waiting staff very nice and helpful.
Cons: If a person asked for a single room and cannot have one the cost should be at the hotels expense.
Location: Beautiful location.
Booking in at hotel at 10:30 at night was very stressful as they put my Friend in the Attic room which was on the 4th floor and at 86 was unacceptable, l had let him have my room which was on the 3rd floor, after going down to reception to ask for another room (which l did not want to be in the attic it was very hot only one window which only opened a little) the air condition had not even been turned on. There was no other room available which the night watchman told me, so l had to sleep in the Attic. The next morning the staff told me they had a room, on the 3rd floor and near my friend. l moved in but the noise from the lift was to much which again was unacceptable, l again went to the Front Desk and after a while of being told l was going to be up grade to a 2 bedroom (l booked two single rooms) but the one l excepted had a surcharge of 261 euros l was told they had no single rooms available. l argued that was there fault but paid in the end. A couple of day's into the holiday l was asked to speak to the manager, l told him l was not happy about having to pay extra, l felt if the Hotel could not give me a single room, having to have a double room the hotel should stand the cost. He said he would see what he could do. He reduced my bill by 80 euros. I must say the staff at the desk where quite rude, but the manager was agreeable. So all in all my Holiday of 10 day's started off not good. They also said they where given not ages of guest which l find quite odd.

Mallorca at its Best.

Posted 05-Jun-2014
Pros: everything!!! I cam with my 85 year old mother and she said it was the best hotel she has ever stayed in.
Cons: nothing really. like everywhere in Spain breakfast is late at around 7.45 am but didn't bother us.
Location: lovely walks along the pinewalk and also in the back of the beach front properties. very quite and great location for families with children
the hotel and its staff are fantastic, well presented, all front line staff speak English and the atmosphere overall was friendly and welcoming, rooms well equipped and very tidy, attractive and high quality interior and the location is superb, overlooking the sea and the surrounding beaches. would always come back here and compared to all other hotels I have seen along the beach front, this one impressed most overall.

Back after 16 years

Posted 05-May-2014
Pros: Classy but not too pretentious.
Cons: Heated outdoor pool. Clarity on types of room available through Expedia. We expected a balcony (sea view room) but that was extra.
Location: Great walks and great and very affordable restaurants nearby - Trio, Tribeca, Centric.
Just a great hotel overall. This time round it had been upgraded with an indoor and outdoor pool which were excellent apart from the fact that the outdoor one was freezing but it was early in the season (April)

It's an excellent quieter hotel

Posted 28-Apr-2014
Pros: It had a quality and professional feel about it, and on the whole things worked as you would expect.
Cons: The pillows were uncomfortable, and the air-conditioning was off, making it hot at night in April
Location: The beach is at the end of the garden. You can take a long walk into the Boquer valley with the appropriate footwear.
We found the staff really helpful, and the reception staff were very knowledgeable . The meals were good, especially the huge breakfast buffet. The public rooms were spacious and pleasant. Our bedroom was fine, though a balcony would have been even nicer.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location

Posted 10-Apr-2014
Pros: Ideal location, helpful staff and a high standard throughout . Good additional facilities such as bike hire and tennis courts.
Cons: Just needed a little more information around evening meal pricing structure
Location: Ideal for an evening wander into the town for an excellent selection of bars and restaurants
Attention to detail made our stay exceptional. Nice selection of places to relax during the day, stunning views to admire and clean comfortable accommodation.
