“Nice but overpriced”
Es Moli is a nice traditional hotel, but the staff lack courtesy and at times were rude - especially reception. Food was nice but nothing special and was overpriced For Spain a good hotel but not at the standard to be expected of a four star
“Exactly what I needed . . .”
The Hotel Es Moli in Deia, Mallorca is a perfect place to have a restful vacation. The hotel makes every attempt to create a soothing spa-retreat feel. The gardens are stunning, fragrant, and beautifully maintained, with "secret" passages through the complex, and hidden spots to sunbathe or nap. The pool area is relaxing, not the frantic environment often found in family resorts - no music blaring or unmonitored children. The rooms were clean and well-serviced, if only a bit dated in decor. The staff was very helpful with local services, making reservations, etc. and surprised me with cava ("champaign") and flowers on my birthday without me even mentioning the date. Es Moli is a ten minute walk to Deia, a picture-perfect, quintessential Spanish hilltown, perched above the Mediterranean Sea. The town has several great cafes and restaurants, and only lacks a bit on shopping (I was glad they have few things in the shops with "DEIA" printed all over them.) The hotel's private beach is a twenty minute bus ride away (scheduled free transport), and is a series of stone terraces with a plunge into the sea as opposed to a sandy beach. The setting is stunning and feels very secluded. Be warned. The terrain around Deia is extremely rugged, and the climb from the hotel's reception to the rooms in the annex is over 300 steps. (The views make it worth the effort.) Guests with infirmities may have some trouble getting about the hotel, or for that matter, the entire village.
“Mountain retreat”
Es Moli lived up to reviews and exceeded expectations. Set in a beautiful location with stunning views of the valley down to the sea, and Deya itself across the valley, the breakfast terrace was a delight to visit every morning (except for the occasional wasp) and buffet breakfast with eggs to order was superb. We made full use of the facilities including the pool, pool bar and Muleta the seaside "resort" in the pine forest and it was all supremely relaxing. Evenings topped off with an aperatif and walk into the village to one of the many restaurants was the icing on the cake. Ideally suited to couples looking for a relaxing stay, without mass tourism.
“Es Moli : plage privée superbe”
Les chambres ne sont pas super bien décorées, c'est un peu kitsch, et ça ne justifie pas le prix très élevé de la nuit. La plage privée est sublime, la piscine est belle et on mange bien. Deia et ses environs est un endroit superbe, un petit paradis sur terre.
“Immer wieder gerne”
Eine sehr schöne und gepflegte Hotelanlage mit einer wunderschönen Parkanlage, in der man ungestört relaxen kann. Der Pool war angenehm temperiert und lud durch seine Größe auch zu "richtigem" Schwimmen ein. Die Auswahl des Frühstücksbuffets war super und der Service stets sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.
“Wij willen hier in de toekomst jaarlijks naar toe.”
Rustig, vriendelijk, prachtig gelegen, uitermate civilized. Veel gasten komen jaarlijks terug; ook het personeel werkt er al jaren en is zeer gehecht aan zijn werkplek. Terecht.
