Lovely hotel, as close to the beach as possible!

Posted 15-Aug-2014
Pros: Location was fantastic. We had great fun watching the shows on at the hotel bar, including a Rock and Roll tribute band.
Location: It was so close to the beach we were practically on it. Great proximity to shops and restaurants.
Had a great time by the pool and visiting the many restaurants in the area.

small and well formed!

Posted 15-Aug-2014
Cons: The pool area is a bit small, and like most hotels, they struggle to cope with reserved sunbeds.
Smaller hotel offering a fantastic stay. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and a great location opposite the beach. Despite being on the main road, the hotel was very quiet. Would definitely go back

Great hotel in great location

Posted 14-Aug-2014
Pros: The Uyal is a comfortable, relaxed, well run hotel. It occupies an enviable location, across the road from a fantastic beach, a stroll away from town.
Cons: The pool was a little bit on the small side, but it doesn't matter at all as there is a fantastic sandy beach right across the road.
Location: The Hotel is a pleasant 20 minute stroll away the centre of Puerta Pollensa. Once there, a wonder along the picturesque pine walk is a must.
The moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the manager who was extremely helpful and friendly. He explained all about the hotel and even gave us local information such as market days, buses, car hire, places of interest etc. We found all the staff and in particular, those on reception, to be exceptionally helpful and accommodating throughout our two week stay. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis so cannot comment on the evening meal, but all the food we had including the occasional lunch by the pool was excellent. We stayed in a junior suite with a wonderful sea view, and found the room to be beautifully appointed, bright, airy and spacious, and with everything we could possibly need.

Very nice hotel, and so close to the beach

Posted 09-Aug-2014
The hotel is very clean, the staff are friendly and made us very welcome. We stayed bed and breakfast but had lunch there all of our stay. Food was excellent, lots of choice and very tasty. The location is good, we walked into the port which took 15 to 20 minutes. Would go again and have no hesitation in recommending it.

Chill out beach holiday

Posted 26-Jul-2014
Pros: Breakfast was very good.
Cons: Bit of grass around sunbeds
Location: Beach bar opposite - but did get quite busy. Supermarket next door good for lunch on beach and cold drinks - save some money after paying for sunbeds
We went as a family and it was a great location for us about 10 mins out of main resort, so easy to access, but far enough away to have space on beach - and not have to get up at a daft time to in the morning to get it. However, there was a jellyfish problem when we were there - mid July, which was causing a problem and put my daughter off going in the sea. This part of the resort is quiet and more suited to older people and young families. Although we had older teenagers with us, this suited us for this particular holiday as we all just wanted to relax in the sun and go out to restaurants in the evenings. When we were there, just before school holidays, the hotel was quiet by 11.30pm - everyone in bed. The rooms do vary, some are wonderful, others not so (although everything really clean). By reading the visitor comments, it looks as if many returning guests request specific room numbers. Our double room was ok, with a partial sea view, but quite small for a 10 night stay - the other twin room was considerably larger and cooler.

Lovely hotel

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: Friendly staff, nice decor.
Location: Close to beach and 15 min walk to peurto pollensa
Great hotel across the road from the beach, the junior suite was perfect for two adults and two children. Breakfast was a very extensive buffet, the pool area was clean and sun loungers not booked up as the hotel had a policy of removing towels if people tried to reserve them without actually using them.

Good location opposite beach. Away from centre

Good selection of food. Clean swimming pool not heated. Good for young families and mature adults. .
