Lovely hotel

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: Friendly staff, nice decor.
Location: Close to beach and 15 min walk to peurto pollensa
Great hotel across the road from the beach, the junior suite was perfect for two adults and two children. Breakfast was a very extensive buffet, the pool area was clean and sun loungers not booked up as the hotel had a policy of removing towels if people tried to reserve them without actually using them.

One night to try it out!

Posted 29-Jun-2014
Pros: In a quiter part of PP. Lovely beach.
Cons: For us, it was perfect
Location: 20 years of staying in and around Pollensa but never stayed at the Uyal. Lovely hotel located in a quieter part of the bay. Beautiful beach.
Arrived on PP a day early for our holiday in order to stay at Uyal. Will love to return for a longer stay.

Very comfortable pleasing hotel

Posted 29-Jun-2014
Pros: Please see above
Cons: The only criticism is that we were overlooked (as on the side) and a net curtain would have been appreciated so that we didn't need to close curtains.
Location: Please see above. The other thing that was close by was a really good supermarket that sold everything. Fabulous snacks and water at good prices.
Our stay was very comfortable, The room was in an annex next to the hotel but this did not spoil our stay. The room was very spacious and well-equipped with its own iron ironing board and kettle. The bathroom was also very spacious with a fabulous walk in shower. We were located on the side building and had a partial sea view only but it was still very pleasant. The breakfast was really welcoming every morning with a varied selection of continental type foods and british food if required, The evening meal (which we only had one night) was buffet style and enjoyable. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating and seemed to speak enough English to be useful. The location of the hotel was first class as it was opposite the most beautiful beach with sun beds and umbrellas available for hiring if required. It was also not too far to walk to other restaurants and bars. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to other people. It was recommended to us in the first place.

Ok hotel, good location

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: Very friendly staff, lovely lobby area, great location and great choice of breakfast. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Thicker walls.
Location: Great location just cross the road to a great beach, nice walk to port, fantastic restaurants. Great bus service and local markets.
Hotel OK, disappointed with the pool area, and the sun beds looked like they were in the car park. We had a room at the side with no balcony and very little natural light. The walls where very thin, it felt like we where sharing it with the couple next door.

Hotel close to beach

Posted 04-Jun-2014
Pros: Hotel in a good location
Cons: Hotel bar area to remain open for longer Snacks to be available throughout the day and not just lunch time 2/3 hours
Location: Location good just far enough out to give quiet evenings sleep
Hotel itself OK. Beds were only pulled over but not made each day Hotel basically shut at about 2300 hrs Pool area needs a little background music Would have expected some beach area to be connected with the hotel

Nice hotel

Posted 21-May-2014
Location: It is right on the beach. Very handy for walking into the main area for food/drinks.
Was initially given a room in the main building. It was very small and did not have a balcony. But we requested a twin bed and the room did not have that. They switched us to another room without any problems. The room was in the next building. Very spacious, had patio area facing the beach. We had a great time. Breakfast was also very good. They had a lovely spread every morning.

Beautiful location

Posted 28-Apr-2014
Pros: Location. Relatively quiet.
Cons: Cant think of anything
Location: Plenty of little shops, reataurants, boat trips. It is not a large resort with loads to do, if you are looking for that you need another locatiuon.
Enjoyed our holiday very much. Hotel in a beautiful location, across the road from the sea. we had a seaview room with balcony. Lovely. Two pools, sunbeds in surrounding gardens. We had breakfast included, which was excellent, plenty of choice, all you can eat. On the whole the staff are lovely, with the exception of one or two who were a bit miserable! Nice, quiet little town, with a few shops for groceries etc, and a number of restaurants. Bus stop just down the road and a good bus service to Palma, etc

Silver Wedding Anniversary

Posted 22-Apr-2014
Pros: Good facilities, magnificent breakfasts and lovely outdoor dining area where many people eat. Rooms good, especially ground floor sea view rooms.
Cons: Very little
Location: Porto Pollensa is a busy but quiet report - no noisy nightclubs. Alcudia old town and Formentor both close and worth spending time at. Lovely beach.
We stayed for our silver wedding anniversary and wanted somewhere that was quality and quiet and not a huge 'concrete block' hotel with hundreds of rooms. Hotel Uyal was admirable. It is at the quiet end of the resort and it takes twenty minutes on foot to reach the town centre; good for walking off your evening meal if you eat out. We hired a car in advance from Drivalia (through Holiday Autos) who are a few minutes by courtesy bus from the airport and this was a lot cheaper than other quotes we had but we still got a brand new Opel Corsa with 7 km on the clock with air con and the usual extras. Drove ourselves from the airport to Porto Pollensa in 50 minutes which saved a lot on transfer fees and saw a lot of the island during our week-long stay.
