“Well Impressed”
I really dont get the ppl that moaned about the complex, the only problem we had was ants. But overall the staff were very helpful and friendly, our patio door lock broke, and the receptionist phoned the maintenance guy straight away and it got sorted in minutes, the food and drink was great aswell. So for the moaners and groaners out there, moan about something worth moaning about!!
“completely acceptable”
We stayed for 4 days and found everything clean and tidy no complaints with the room, except that it was so far from everything (we were put in self catering which was well away from the all inclusive restaurant that we had paid for). But other than that the food was good with a fair selection, room pools and surrounding area were clean. And only 600m from Alcudias fantastic beach! Its not amazing but in the end you get what you pay for and what we got was acceptable.
“VERY DISSAPOINTED”
the recepcionist was very unhelpful trying to not work and pass me to others. Also at the check she gave lots os paper with trips information and map of the hotel however she didn tell me i was expected to read all those papers, after all i was there on holidays, not suppose to be reading piles of paper. and she didn explain that i had to leave the hotel before 12pm on the day of my clock out, therefore the locked my door, with luggage inside, claiming that this information was on the paper. however i didnt know that i had to leave this time, she didnt tell me, and was my first time there. i was sooooo dissapointed they said i had to pay more 25 euros to get my luggage, i was so happy with the hotel however after that moment, i changed my mind.
“best holiday ever”
good quality entertainment every night, great beach a short boat ride over the lake great for kids, plenty of pools to choose from, nice room with a great view over the lake and complex, great for all ages. clean and good value for money.
“Food is disgusting...night life is great”
Family of five and we survived...it is a hike to the beach. The 'all inclusive' is worth it if you drink...food is horrid! Evening entertainment was okay...Stay again at this resort...prob not...Visited in July and there was NO A/C Have to say we are the type that make the best of it...so we made it fun...most would not!
“Clean and comfortable but very big and impersonal”
I could not fault the hotel or food atall. It was always clean and our problems were always resolved. However the eating times were always very bsy and rushed and it felt like we were being rushed. Also the pools were very busy, people would reserve the sunbeds very early in the morning and we never got the chance to have a sunbed. These should be able to be rented.
“Not impressed”
I thought this would be a family type of place to stay. It was not. The other guests had little regard for people sleeping in the rooms around them. At 3AM like clockwork, drunks would come in yelling and since there is no AC, it was necessary to have the balcony doors open. No security guard ever approached the situation. I just thought it was ridiculous. The all-inclusive was also a large disappointment. The food was either fried or soggy. I was hoping for a lot more than was recieved.
“Great hotel for price”
Was a little worried when read the reviews of this hotel but when we arrived at night the reception gave us a lift to our hotel block. We were put in serena one and were given a two bedroom room with massive living room, separate kitchen and massive bathroom. our room was right at the end of the corner overlooking the swimming pool and lake looking over the whole of alcudia. We got a really good deal on expedia and was several hundred pounds cheaper than with the travel company. Food was varied, brittish dishes they even have Heinz ketchup ang HP sauce! Full english breakfast. lovely salad bar, classsic spanish food, paella, mussles etc every night, lovely deserts! Lovely fresh fruit at all meal times. We only saw ants when we left things on the floor which is a given really. When going out for the day the hotel prepare a packed lunch for you with cheese, bread, pate, fruit and a sandwich. All inclusive great idea especially with the state of the euro and free beer, spirits wine, cocktails, soft drinks etc from 10.30am til 11.30pm is not bad at all. The complex is very large and there are lots of people on the go. No air conditioning either which would not be good in july/aug. we went in june and were able to cope with this, just! On the whole was very impressed with holiday for what we paid.
“Good - if you are an eskimo”
The hotel complex itself it fabulous for families with children. The facilities are wide ranging with activities for the children However, the appartments are very cold both during the day and especially at night. You can hire a heater but at an iflated cost and there are very few heaters to keep up with the demand. The room itself was clean and basic and the maid visits once every two days so if you suffer from a towel OCD then you may struggle. The food is ok but many guests who had paid for all inclusive were critical of the quality and quantity of the food served and oftern drank and ate away from the complex whic kinda defeats the object of going all inclusive. We booked our holiday as a cheap break away from the UK which is basically what we got - cheap and basic. The coldness of the room was the biggest let down of our almost perfect holiday. If you are going to the comples i would strongly recommend you take some warm pj's especially for young children and on arrival book your heater!
“Stuffy and smelly”
The stench coming from our hotel room was already evident in the passage. It only got worse once we opened the room. It was a smell of old cigarette smoke and ash tray that has been clogged up in the room for the last month. The hotel service in this respect was not hlpful at all. I understand that no other rooms may have been available, but the fact that no help was offered to get rid of the stench left us to our won accord to get rid of the stench. Another piece of advice is not to go to Majorca on this particular hotel during April, as the weather can still be very bad, and the hotel room was extremely cold. They offered us a heater at a ridiculous price. Other that that, it is a good source of value. But make sure you get to breakfast early as you might just get left out or have to queue.

Area:
Alcudia, Spain: The original walled Old Town of Alcúdia is well worth a visit for its reconstructed medieval streets and Roman remains. By contrast the resort area is thoroughly modern with high-rise hotels and tourist shops around the bay. The beach is one of Mallorcas biggest (15 kilometres) and best, with various water sports on offer. To escape the crowds visit the adjacent SAlbufera nature reserve.
