“Met expectations; staff very helpful and suite rooms were great!”
Stayed here 3 nights after 4 nights in Palma. Nice beach, relaxed atmosphere, suite rooms very comfortable. Read prior reviews so was prepared for nickel-and-dime approach to extras ie Charges for internet, in room safe, etc. With that expectation, hotel was just fine. Awesome breakfast buffet.
“A very comfortable stay”
The Grand Palace is a very imposing building, we had a suite on the second floor which had a nice side sea view. The suite had a comfortable sitting room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Nice to have a full size fridge though strange to have to ask for a kettle and no coffee or tea in room! Good buffet breakfast and dinner, as we were on Half Board we were told that we could eat one night in the Gourmet Restaurant and once in the Japanese Restaurant. On Saturday we ask to be booked into the Gourmet restaurant for the Sunday night to be told that it was only open on Fridays so we missed that one - same we weren't told that on check in. Otherwise a nice stay and would recommend hotel.
“Good value for money.”
Typical 5-star hotel for those who prefer lazy sunbathing for the most of day with swimming in shallow sea or in outdoor pool. Long sandy beach is a plus for those who like jogging in the morning.
“Excellent Stay - Recommended”
We had one of the suites and found the rooms most comfortable and spacious, with a very large balcony overlooking the ocean. Every single member of staff was efficient and friendly. When the batteries in the safe ran out, maintenance came immediately to replace them. The breakfasts were wonderful and varied with plenty of choice, and as we had to leave for our flight early on the last day, they prepared a breakfast for us before service started. We were also given a complimentary drink on arrival, which was quite late at night. We hired a car when we arrived at the airport, as it would have been difficult to get around the island and made it easier to get to the hotel. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
“Relaxing holiday”
The hotel was beautiful. Staff very helpful. The food was excellent and .plentiful. The swimming pool is not very big and the sunbeds are very squashed together so we preferred the beach. There are gift shops and cafes about 200 metres up the road but its a car ride to go anywhere else. Quite secluded but we wanted a relaxing holiday and thats what we got!
“Would stay again”
As a frequent traveler who likes to stay in 4 star + hotels, I was very satisfied with this hotel. The hotel itself was beautiful and impressive. The staff was friendly and very helpful with information, booking restaurants etc. The beach was gorgeous, although the lounge chairs on the beach are not the property of the hotel and you are charged a daily rate to use them. I had read several negative reviews about the buffet breakfast, but I thought it was lovely. We did not like the lunch by the pool. We ate at Vesta, one of the hotel restaurants and thought it was good. We would definitely return to this hotel.
“Unlikely to return to this hotel”
We booked as we thought a 5* hotel to relax in in comfort. The guest areas of the hotel we fine, the buffet breakfast and dinner (we booked half board) were excellent, and the staff friendly and helpful. BUT, we were in one of the extensions and having paid for wireless internet found that the speed was very slow unless we took the computer into the main building! The condition of our room was not good: a cracked sink, bidet help up by a block of wood, the grouting in need of serious help, the shower screen needed replacing. The hairdryer overheated after 3 minutes. The sheets needed replacing and the top bedcover did not see the light of day again after removal on the first morning. All in all, the bedroom was probably what I would have expected from a 2 or three star. Disappointed.
“Hervorragendes Hotel”

Alcudia, Spain: The original walled Old Town of Alcúdia is well worth a visit for its reconstructed medieval streets and Roman remains. By contrast the resort area is thoroughly modern with high-rise hotels and tourist shops around the bay.
