Perfect Hotel
5th time staying at this hotel. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in santa Ponsa. Best hotel for location, facilities and staff. Roll on next year.

Excellent location
Book a sea view room well worth that little extra we stayed here from 6th/14th Oct asked for higher floor got the top floor absolutely stunning view .. room spotlessly clean staff very friendly ..room could have done with a bit more light but otherwise no complaints ..when we had problem with door lock staff were excellent very efficient and apologetic for problem ..would definately stay here again.

Decent option for family
It was OK place to stay, clearly targeting budget traveler. It was not bad but the photos can be deceiving as it looks like there is a beach in front of the hotel, not the case, but beach is nearby. Advantage is it is on the quiet side, where some hotels are right above bight clubs which go to 3am. Sadly no parking anywhere close, so people with cars are out of luck

Beware of misleading photos
Unfortunately after checking in to a studio that didn't look anything like the images of the studio we booked, we were told it's Expedia's fault. I explained that it's up to the property to provide the correct images. The studio images are of their apartments so beware. The property charged us for one night even though we checked out within two hours. Expedia was fantastic and refunded us two of the 3 nights because the property claimed we stayed a night even trough we didn't. Apart from this the place is okay if you don't mind being surrounded by British holidaymakers and a Blackpool kind of vibe. They have refurbished the place and it's quite modern.

Magnificent views
The hotel was in a wonderful location .Views from the rooms were great .Book a room above floor 2 with a sea view.Rooms not overlooking the pool are quieter. Sun beds get sold out by 10.00 most days. People start putting towels to reserve beds very early but you can not pay for them to be unlocked until after 8.30.

Clean hotel, not the best of views.
The hotel was clean but we didn't find the staff the most helpful. I had sent a few email prior to our stay about having a sea view. When we got there the woman on the desk wasn't at all helpful and said we'd have to pay an extra 25euro a night! We had a week spent overlooking a road...at least it wasn't the wall which was all the lower floors got. Our beds...after a search and ending up phoning reception were found under the covers on the two seats in our room. Oh well at least we were only there for a week and only used our room as a base.

Loungers behave!
Room was much smaller than pictures made it look, the guys working were arrogant and charging for a sun lounger what's that all about 70 Euro a week for loungers and 30 Euro for a safe key behave .. other than that great location near beach and cool little harbour with steps direct in to the sea.

Nothing was working in this cold & uncomfortable room. Safe was broken, TV was not working beside too small too far from bed to watch anyway, telephone was not working, no refrigerator although room was studio, no staff available to help, restaurants staff were fine but food was terrible. Practically no breakfast. We tried talk to front desk of course we walked to them because no phone at room, and explained the room & troubles we had, Lady at front desk just said sorry!

Get a sea view you will not regret it fantastic
Good base to visit area buses from centre to Palma Well positioned 5 min walk one way to town or other way to square.

Would defiantly avoid!
My brother and I went for a 5 day break in this hotel, the luggage room was not secure, anyone can go into the room and lock themselves in with your suitcases as it's also the shower room for people who have all checked out to use, no privacy! The staff were very not helpful at all, the room stank of sewage and the beds were a joke to say the least! Couldn't sit on the balcony as it had a huge fan blowing out hot air! The pool is tiny and no sunbeds available, no way would I ever ever come back!

Very nice stay
Hotel was in fantastic condition everything appeared new and very modern. It's set right on the sea shore rooms either have a wall/land view or sea view. It's close for sandy beech, restaurants supermarket etc. We are seasoned regular abroad visitors and will return to this hotel

The apartments were perfect / clean modern and well equipped. Great location thankfully close to the beach. The guests were not. Noisy thoughtless - woken most mornings at 2.45 as they came in from pubs/ clubs. Children running around the pool unchecked by parents or staff. The management should not let guests dry towels over their balconies as it made the place look like a hostel from outside ! Sadly the clientele at this hotel is the main problem.

Nice apartments close to beach and resort
Three friends in their late 20's. Good base for our holiday as close to the beach and local shops and restaurants. Short taxi ride to palma. A lot of families, but wasn't a problem. The pool did get very busy with children so we didn't use it, possibly a children pool needed. And we had to pay for sunbeds which we didn't think would be an added expense whilst staying there. However, a nice clean room and perfect for what we needed. Studios are a bit pokey for 3 though, perfect size for 2. Would visit Santa ponsa/ palma again, but possibly base ourselves in palma or palmanova as Santa ponsa seems more of a family resort.

Great apartment, great locations and views!
Very happy after our recent week long stay at Verdemar. Apartment was great, modern and well appointed, clean and tidy. Staff mostly were polite, and views from the balcony fantastic!

Verdemar Apartments
We had a sea view at the Verdemar Apartments which was wonderful. I probably would not be so keen on a room without a sea view. The rooms are quite basic but clean. The position next to the sea makes up for the rooms and it's just a short walk to the beach and close to all shops, restaurants and entertainment that you would need for a good holiday. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. We only ate at the hotel once in the afternoon which was OK and once for breakfast which was dismal.

Excellent location
The hotel is excellently situated with views over the bay and a 10 minute stroll to the beach. The apartments were clean and comfortable. Definitely worth paying for the sea view! The rooms were cleaned every day. The pool and poolside bar were also very good and although you did have to pay a daily hire charge for sunbeds there were always plenty available. The entertainment programme does not stick to the advertised programme but that was fine with us. There were no activities during the day and the evening entertainment consisted of dodgy tribute bands! There are lots of lovely bars and restaurants in the resort though. Would definitely use this hotel again. It was perfect for a relaxing holiday :-)

Studio apartment is a room not an apartment
Sea view rooms really worth the extra. Otherwise you look at a road and a Chinese restaurant. Studio apartment though is a normal hotel room, with bathroom, and two electric rings and a sink in one corner. No oven, no space to dry anything up. Difficult to actually cook. Room for three was a room for two with abed that pulled out from under and then took up the whole floor space. So I would definitely call it compact! Clean and decent, and serviced daily. But not really an apartment in the normal sense of the word to me, anyway. Bar downstairs had kids disco every night which went down well with ours aged 9 and 7. Pool fine, if not that large. Short walk down the beach to sand or dive strgiht off the hotel into sea water. Area touristy but safe and family oriented. Pretty.

Amazing location
2nd visit, very happy with location & price, although too many things needing hiring or deposits. Why does the pool have to close so early - 1900?. wifi could easily be free for guests.

It is very gratifying for management and staff to welcome back guests from other years as well as new guests to the apartments. We regret any inconvenience with having to leave deposits for remote controls or towels, we are working to improve these services. The pool and the surrounding areas are cleaned through the evening time, from 7pm onwards. The Management find that most families and couples leave the pool around this time to prepare for the evening having tested to close it later one particular year. There is a service of limited free wifi in the sofa area of the bar salon. This year the cleaning service has changed and cleaning is provided seven days a week so as to provide a better service to our guests. You get what you pay for.
Poor room layout, beds were convertible sofas, you pay for sun loungers around the pool and the rental price of the room safe was extortionate. The strangest "hotel" I have ever stayed in.

We are working constantly to improve and for full customer satisfaction. The rental of the sun loungers is not unusual on coastal areas for hotels with direct sea access as this area belongs to and is monitored by the coastal authorities. The rooms at the verdemar are undergoing a complete refurbishment with five of the eight floors totally finished. These rooms layout is different, being two beds and not sofas (although they are all bed mattresses) for our guests. We hope that one day you will decide to return so that you may enjoy these rooms. Thank you once again.

Small for 3 Adults
Apartments were clean and staff were friendly, however even though the Studio Apartments are advertised to accomodate 3 adults they are very small and the 3rd bed is a pull out bed low to the ground, which would only really be suitable for a child, which as to be put away every day. We had to request an additional mattress to make it acceptable for an adult to sleep on, so I would definitely recommend that if there is 3 adults you book a one bedroom apartment.

Awful!
The hotel was basic and seemed clean on arrival at reception (floor 4), that was until we went to our room!!! The room was on the first floor faced a break wall and either sides of the apartment seemed derelict. The room had the most awful smell of stale smoke and foist with the deco less than desirable. We opened the patio doors onto the balcony which also had the most awful smell of rubbish and we also concerned the apartment could easily be broken into. The beds were certainly not beds but foam stuffed into packaging. We went straight back to the reception and asked to be moved as the room was unacceptable. We were told they could not do this until the following day. We stayed in the room that night and the following day again we asked twice to move before being told there was no alternative rooms available. After further discussions we managed to secure a refund for the remainder of the holiday and booked into apartments further along the strip which was of similar price and a huge improvement.

Hotel staff and cleanliness were both first class. Having paid £900 each we were disappointed with the accommodation. Very shabby (chipped paint on units) and dark. Although we paid for a one-bedroom self-catering appartment there was no way we could attempt to cook a meal. Only two solid electric rings - with no numbered dial to say if it was on or off! and a toaster.

Nice hotel .... But!
The hotel was well run with nice room and very good staff, very clean and excellent position. But the continous noise from rowdy teenagers at all hour of the day and night was horrendous. Family's with young children were subjected to a continous tirade of foul language and rowdy and intimidating behaviour especially around the pool and cafeteria area. Every night was the same with people shouting and screaming in the corridors. I dont know if there is night security , but would think a couple of night guards would possibly deter some of these problems.

Regarding the groups of youth at the apartments, for the past seven seasons that amount of groups of youth has reduced significantly and this year it is no permitted by the tour operators or travel agents to book groups of teenagers any more although we have some young this year, it is all very controlled and much quieter. Fabulous location
Brilliant location for all amenities & beach. Worth upgrading for sea view. Rooms on floors 5-8 have been redecorated to a lovely standard, showers brilliant. Will be going again next year.
