Very basic, short stay ok.

Posted 08-Jun-2014
Arrived late at night. Told our room wasn't in main building. So everyone back in the car for quarter mile drive to apartment. Party of 5 had two twin rooms and a sofa bed. The balcony was very small only just big enough for two people not what you really expect when you book an apartment for 5. Tiny pool with very sad and tatty furniture . Very basic, ok for a cheap long weekend, but that's all

One of the few open

Stayed for 3 nights mid november, part of a walking holiday. No complaints about the price, but the location means its a 20min walk into town.

Superb Budget Hotel

Posted 18-Nov-2011
I used these apartments as a base to do some cycle training and it was better than I expected for a 2* apartment. Really clean, lots of appliances, space and hotel staff helpful. Location is handy for the beach and town. I would definitely use it again

A gem of a spot!

Posted 16-Mar-2011
The apartments are located in a beautiful area and are modern, clean, and well-furnished. The staff will ensure that your stay is a pleasant one! The rooms are nicely decorated and rather spacious. The kitchen and dining area have everything you will need in order to leisurely prepare and eat meals. The ten-minute scenic walk into town is well worth it. Once you arrive in Puerto Pollenca, you will find numerous and affordable restaurants, along with many other interesting sights to see and activities to do.

Basic but ok

Posted 04-Jan-2011
I will confess that these apartments are basic and some would say in need of a refurbishment. However they did the job and we enjoyed our stay, the 1970's bathroom tiles were fantastic... It was a good 10 minute walk to the harbour but again this was pleasant. Note that in the off season you are in competition with the tumble weed blowing down the streets, but again it was perfect for the quiet getaway we wanted. The were a sprinkling of bars open and the food at The Stay and La Llonga restaurants was fabulous.

Value for money

Posted 19-May-2009
We had two seperate apartment one of which was newer and fresher. The second was a little tired and dated. The kitchen equipment was a little basic - no microwave - but as we didn't intend eating in it wasn't a problem. A washing machine or access to a laundry would have been useful as we were cycling and needed to wash our kit at the end of the day. The staff were friendly and very helpful providing good service. All in all the Apartamentos Don Miguel were excellent value for money far enough away from the hub bub of Puerto Pollensa but near enough to walk to and from in the evening. We would definately consider returning in the future.

Not impressed with the Apartamentos Don Miguel

Posted 08-Jun-2008
Stayed for the last week in May 2008. Apartments are off the main beach area with a walk of about 100m. We were put in an older block over the road with our balcony looking over the road to the swimming pool. The room is very old and the decor dated. Long dark corridor with one room off with 2 single beds and a wardrobe. Beds were very soft and bedding, although clean was old. Good shower in the toilet but the blue tiles on the walls just gave the age of the room away. Small water boiler on the wall leaked and the lighting was poor. The main lounge has a "put you up" bed, a round table and 4 chairs, a wardrobe, kitchen area and fridge, doors to balcony. Kitchen area was outdated, the only thing we chose to make was a cup of tea. We ate out everyday. The utensils were battered and crockery chipped. The whole room needs a radical update. A new lick of paint, new matresses, new kitchen area, new lighting...you get the idea.

We found the staff quite pleasant but found the apartment very basic and in serious need of refurbishing.

Third World Hotel! I will avoid!

Posted 02-Nov-2007
This hotel / appartments had two sides. A new block with the comforts that you would expect & then the old block that had less charm than most barracks that I have stayed within the 3rd world. The old block in which my family & I were placed was dangerous, cold, shabby to say the least. We saw a cleaner only once & that was after I requested our towels were changed!! Running water yet alone hot water was rare especially during the hours of 0800 - 1100hrs & 1900 - 2300hrs. The windows & balcony were not upto safety standards where children are concerned..no safety bars & low enough for a 2yr old to climb up! I requested the ground floor & was placed onto the top floor with three kids two very young with a pram & yes no lift! The kitchen was two hot plate rings & a dirty fridge & we appeared to have a large amount of black hair in the bath plug! Neither of us have black hair by the way! Then to cap it off is the large construction site at the rear where they appear to be building a major road of sorts. We stayed half board..the food was OK but the resturaunt was more of a back street cafe & the equpment was very old. On the whole I thought the staff were friendly however the hotel was shabby!
