10/10 . The most nicer guest house I have ever visited. Staff are very friendly, the receptionist are always there and they go beyond and above their duties. The Hotel rooms are clean, basic but the environment is so pleasant the garden is very relaxing with a beautiful vibes I would recommande their trip packages the trip crew are fantastic, very very friendly. For people who want to relax that is the perfect place to stay Thank you for making my trip magical !!

Friendly and welcoming
For an island in the middle of the ocean they do very well. The bed was sadly made of concrete but the room was nice. There were a few issues which I am sure are par for the course, when the electric went I was invited to eat in their sister hotel 2 doors up. Staff incredibly friendly and the place was clean which is really all I needed. If I returned I would stay here again

great option in the Maldives
I decided to do the Maldives the cheap/backpacker way and that meant staying on Maafushi at the Stingray vs a crazy expensive resort. You get what you pay for: the island is undergoing a lot of building work and I enjoyed mingling with the locals. Foreigners are restricted to bikini beach but staff at the Stingray can organise a bunch of excursions (great value for money): day trip to a resort, snorkelling, diving etc. The room was comfy but not sound proofed and I had very noisy neighbours so bring earplugs! the breakfast is delicious and I couldn't get enough of the fresh juices. the staff is excellent and very attentive.

What can I say? It was a disaster! I had been email with Ibrahim the manager/owner of the Stingray for about a week. I had asked him for several things, the first being information about the ferry from Male to Massfushi, he told me that due to my landing time, I wouldnt be able to get the $4 ferry but would have to get either the $40 shared speedboat or $170 speedboat provided by his hotel. When I landed, I was told I would have been able to get the $4 ferry but instead had to pay the $40 for the ferry ($70 return). I wasn't told that I would have to wait over 3 hours at the airport for the shared boat! This is an enormous amount of time when you are only in the Maldives for 48 hours. When I got to the hotel I was told that I would NOT be staying at the quaint Stringray Beach Inn I had booked but would be forced to stay at the Triton Hotel which is EXACTLY WHAT I DID NOT WANT TO DO! The Triton was OK but not the Maldivian experience I was looking for, it had no charm and for the money, I would have stayed at one of the half dozen similar hotels on the beach that I could have booked on Hotels.com. I was also told that they couldn't arrange the Whale Shark tour that I had asked them to arrange (I made these arrangements on my own). I will say the staff was nice but extremely unhelpful. If you stay at either the Stingray or Triton, make sure you get, in writing, confirmation from Ibrahim of what you are getting, I would give 1/2 or no stars if I could!

Great place for a relaxing end to our vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The owner of reared us as we arrived to the island, and explained the check in process and activities available thoroughly. The room was a great price and spacious. Everything was very clean and the restaurant is great. We especially enjoyed how there is dining and hammocks available in an open air sitting beneath the trees. It is a very short walk to the swimming beach.

A great local hotel for the price, the "western" beach really was just around the corner and the extra provided towels were just waiting to be used! Staff were organized and very helpful with everything from activities available each day to umbrellas when the rain came. Restaurant service could be improved, but the food itself was good and reasonably priced. The room and bathroom were clean upon arrival and kept that way during our stay, even with the abundance of nearby sand. And there's even a hot tub on the property...

Great manager : co-operative on plan changes
We booked 4 nights but, we needed to leave a day early, and they agreed without any arguments. We prefer hot-freshly prepared breakfast over bread and cereals, their cook did great job to help us out on this. They deserves good rating.

Amazing short trip
We had to choose between the crazily expensive "resort world" or the "backpacker world" on a "local island"..we decided for the second option and did not regret..we had a good time with nice day trips. If you don't want to miss alcohol have an evening or two on the party boat..the Picnic Island trip is a MUST.

Special care through the stay
The place is homey. Clean. the Inn's restaurant menu is huge n i can find variety of choices suit both me and my wifey. They are very nice. Ibrahim and his staff were helpful.A romantic candle light dinner beside the beach is set up with a small charges but it was raining and we don't get to enjoy it. It was wonderful thought and romantic.Due to the unforseen rain,Ibrahim said its unfair and never charge me for the setup. Simply my 4 nights stay is satisfying.

Highly recommended!
There are many great things about this hotel but I'd like to highlight the friendliness and help of the staff. They treated us like family as we stayed in the Inn for 10 days.They helped us arrange our affordable excursions and were very honest about their recommendations. I'd definitely stay there again if I had the chance.

First time to Maldives
I had a few days holiday while working in Malaysia and decided to explore the Maldives. Great place to get to know the Islands without committing to a resort for several days. The owner arranged trips to different islands each day and I was able to see what different resorts had to offer. The owner and his staff did a great job making my stay comfortable and fun. Best place to stay to get to know the islands for a few days.

ビキニビーチまですぐ。水着で行って帰ってこれる。 朝食はビュッフェ式の他に５つのメニューから注文する形も選べた。出来立てをいただけるのはありがたかった。 ジャグジーはリクエストしてから使用。レストラン内にあるので時間を選ぶ必要アリ。

Härlig dagar på Stingray Beach!
Underbar vistelse, trevlig personal, bra service. De bar ner solstolar åt oss till stranden! Sandgården med hängmattor, pratande papegoja och mysig katt Benji tillsammans med ganska bra mat och underbara fruktdrinkar gjorde vår vistelse fantastisk! Mycket bra air condition på rummet, vi hade faktiskt filtar på natten! Vi fick också växla till oss dollar via kreditkort, och massagen på grannhotellet var skön! Ibrahim var också en trevlig manager som pratade med oss och berättade mera om livet på ön! Så bra att vi valde Maafushi och inte en resortö! Vi besökte en över en dag, och ångrade verkligen inte att vi bokade Stingray Beach! Dykningen med Maafushi Dive var också fantastisk, hajar, eaglerays och delfiner. Kanondykning! Tack för det, Really m fl! Och tack för en underbar semester på Maldiverna! (det enda jag kan tipsa om - kontakta hotellet i förväg avseende transfer. Vi bokade icom, och de for ifrån oss, så vi förlorade 50 dollar redan från start. Men hotellen har samma priser, och de väntar in sina passagerare - det gör inte iCom! Vårt flyg var 35 minuter sena, vi kom till mötespunkten 11-12 minuter senare än avtalad tid och då hade redan vår båt gått, Möjligen kunde vi vänta drygt fyra timmar på flygplatsen för att komma vidare, men efter 26 timmars flygtid var inte det så intressant! Vi tog en annan hotellbåt (Arena hotel) och fick betala 50 dollar till, men det var det värt!

Koselig sted med atmosfære.
Svært hyggelig mottakelse av folk i resepsjon og drift. Mer reservert i restauranten, og dette opplevdes som stadig verre i løpet av oppholdet. Siste morgenen var direkte lite hyggelig. Forvirrende opplevelse da vi forsøkte å være forekommende og hyggelige hele veien. Vi gjorde muligens en feil, vi tipset ikke i løpet av tiden vi spiste der, da alle regningene ble kontert på rommet. I stedet gav vi en større sum siste morgen, men hadde sjekket med hotell-driver at dette var en akseptabel måte å gjøre dette på. Fremsto også som fornuftig da det ikke var mulig å ta ut kontanter på øyen. Ellers, rent og skikkelig. Svært god "feel". Hjelpsomt personale (utenom restauranten), kunnskapsrik hotell-driver som fikset alt vi ønsket å gjøre på en bra måte.

Small inn but all staff & boss are very nice. We stay there for 4 nights and joined 4 days excursions with a nice price. Especially one day we back from another Island but was raining in Maafushi Island, we were so glad to see two staff from Stingray Beach Inn brought with umbrellas and waiting us at the pier. With the warm umbrellas we had not got wet.

Fedt sted lidt tilbagetrukket fra stranden. Vi mødte et meget venlig personale og fik et fint familieværelse. Virkelig et anbefalelsesværdigt sted hvis man er til lokal turisme og med masser af stemning. Maafushi har kun en lille bikini strand, men den er god til små børn og der er også en lille smule koraller og fisk at se med snorkel fra stranden

Bodde 4 nätter på Stingray och vi var verkligen nöjda. Rent fint rum. Perfekt städat varje dag. Innergården är supermysig! Lugn, sval och avkopplande. Ägaren och personalen är verkligen hjälpsam och trevlig. De hade många utflykter till andra öar att erbjuda. (Fantastiskt fina ställen) Synd att de var rätt så dyra. Man måste nästan åka till olika resort-öar. På Maafushi finns inte så mycket. Den lilla strand turister har till förfogande är väl "så där" Trevligt att bo på en "lokal-ö" annars och se lite av det vanliga livet på Maldiverna. Om man ska nämna något negativt så var det maten på Stingray. Plus att man fick vänta väldigt länge på maten. Annars rekommenderar vi det varmt!

Excellent budget hotel in the Maldives!
Stingray Beach Inn is a perfect hotel located on Maafushi Island in the Maldives. It is easy to reach with regular boat from Male which takes 1,5-2 hrs and the cost for that is just a few USD. Or you can take a speedboat which takes 35 minutes but is much more expensive. There is a small beach just 100 m from the hotel. You can ask for sunbeds to be carried down to the beach. This is not the perfect picturesque beach that you see in the holiday brochures but it is good enough for one or a few days of relaxation. Then you can use Stingray Beach Inn as your base to explore surrounding resorts like Picnic Island and Fihalhohi (wonderful snorkeling there!) - and if your budget can afford it a trip to nearby Anantara is nice but very pricey. Ibrahim is the perfect hotel manager and is very helpful in trying to set up different day trips (so that you can share the cost of the boat trips with others). The food at Stingray Beach Inn is great and you can ask for your lunch or dinner to be ready at a specific time (so that you don´t have to wait so long). You really can't find better food anywhere else at the nearby hotels, but it can be nice to dine outside of Kaani hotel as well which is just a twominute walk away. We would definitely go back and would definitely reccomend Stingray Beach Inn and Ibrahim!

Gezellig en betrokken!
We hebben hier een heerlijk verblijf gehad van in totaal 4 nachten. Het is een zeer leuke locatie, gezellig aangekleed en goed onderhouden. Het personeel is behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Er zijn voldoende activiteiten welke via Stingray georganiseerd kunnen worden voor een goede prijs! Wij hebben erg genoten van het bezoek aan picnic-island en het resort Kandooma, daarnaast hebben we nog gesnorkeld en een Stingray gezien! Dit is zeker de moeite waard, je krijgt dan veel te zien van de Malediven. Het is leuk om op een eiland te verblijven met de locals, hierdoor wordt het betaaldbaar. Echter is dit eiland zeer mooi, maar minder dan een aantal anderen, hierdoor zijn de uitstapjes een grote aanrader. Zwemmen en zonnebaden in een bikini is mogelijk op een afgeschermd gedeelte van het eiland! Ze zijn steeds meer aan het inspelen op het tourisme.

A familiar hotel with great service and staff!
We were 3 persons staying at Stingray and they took care of us, listen and follow our wishes for activities, our request about things, gave us a GREAT service. And the guide/staff who guided us on the tours/water activity we very reliable and made us feel so safe. They all really tried their best. And staying in Stingray gave us the chance to learn about the local people's life which is very fascinating for us. We strongly recommend Stingray, cause we had a great&lovely time thank to the staff at Stingray hotel!
