Lovely clean hotel with friendly staff.

Hotel situated beside the coastline close to all ammenities. Made to feel very welcome by everyone in and out of hotel. Definately will return.

First class hotel

Pros: Very well situated, centre of town, near sea, many good restaurants within walking distance. Not far from Dublin airport. (15 minutes).
Cons: Cannot think of anything to be improved.
Location: Walk into town and enjoy the many excellent restaurants.
Made extremely welcome by all staff whom we met. Easy to locate the hotel. Great location.

Reception desk was friendly. Breakfast greeters were friendly, but the servers were not. Room was small, bed was v too firm, TV was from 1980's, radiant heat and no air conditioning. The best part about this hotel is the location. Beautiful views of the water and marina.

Pros: Comfort and . Location
Cons: Just the sound proofing
Location: Good spot close to Malahide
Our room was nice but you could hear the guy next door in 321 snoring, coughing and making his morning coffee. Might need a bit of sound proofing here but otherwise very good.

Pros: Floral arrangements, bar staff.
Cons: servicing rooms more efficiently ensuring very basic furniture items ( table & chairs ) are available in all rooms.
Location: Location PERFECT lots to do, see, enjoy near by
We arrived at The Grand Hotel around 2.20pm, tired and looking forward to a rest. However, our hopes were soon shattered when checking in, the receptionist related her smiley apology and regret that the room wasn't yet serviced. We left our luggage and were told it would be brought up to our room. Very disappointed with the stark lack of customer service, and inspite of inclement weather conditions, we headed into Malahide village. On our return we expected our luggage to be stowed away in our ready room? However, our current reality was continuum of disappointment, although the room was ready, it neither contained our luggage or any table facilities... So, eventually we were relocated to a satisfactory room and joined up with our luggage by around 6pm!! That has to be the longest check in time in history??

Bedrooms need an updating

Stayed in a double bedroom on third floor. To access our room we had to pass workmen painting. This area of hotel should have been out of bounds till work was complete. Felt like we were staying in old part of hotel. Bedroom was small in size with ensuite and shower only. Really not best room.

Historic, beautiful and perfect location

I loved this hotel. They couldn't have been nicer or friendlier. The food at The Coast (the hotel restaurant) was fantastic and the Georgian elegance made me feel like I was in a different world.
