Excellent location for the beach

Posted 17-Sep-2014
10 mins from Malaga airport in the taxi, my second time at the hotel for a long weekend so it's great as it's so near the airport. It's true about the reception staff they are very slow on both check in and out and not very friendly. My first visit we had a room in the new block which was lovely, this time we were in the old block, room was very dated, however it was cleaned and we had fresh towels every day. We were room only, there are lots of places to eat and drink nearby but it would be nice if there was a coffee shop in hotel that was open before 10am. I will definitely go back to this hotel for it's location

A hotel like JP Morgan - too big.

Posted 20-Aug-2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Customer service, in particular at the reception - more receptionists.
Location: Warning! If you want to go from airport to the hotel by train, you have to get off in LA COLINA train station!
This hotel is too big to have a pleasant and relaxing stay. Many children, noisy environment, few employees.

Family hotel

Posted 15-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel is very good for families, as there is a lot of activities around the main (large) pool which involve children etc., We are a couple with no children and there is a small pool at the front of the hotel which seems to be an 'adult' pool, so we based ourselves there for the few days that we were there. The hotel is very convenient for restaurants and bars within walking distance and also the beach is just over the road. All in all a good hotel. Breakfast was good and plentiful also.

Cheap B&B rather than a 4 star

Posted 01-Aug-2014
Awful food and service. you need to remind the house keeping to change your sheets and even when you do you will get so much attitude. Staff do not speak English so if you don't know Spanish you probably need to learn before you check in to this hotel. Hotel has 3 swimming pool all absolutely packed up with children. The water is very dirty and you want a bed around the pools you need to put your towel down as early as 7:30 every morning. The only good thing about this hotel is that it's located near the sea side. But this hotel is definitely not a 4 star !

Could be better

Very busy hotel, too crowded, not able to get a place at the pool. Good for families with young children. Rooms need to be updated. Not bad but not the best, average.

Very hot, lovely swimming pools, nice beach

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: Great pools and food!
Cons: Would have been nice to have tea and coffee in your room. Wifi was pretty terrible, rubbish even. And a few extra plugs in the room would help.
Location: Excellent location. Taxis were good from airport and back. 18-20 euros.
Too many kids running around, good for families. Food was great. Beds in the room are two singles pushed together - beware, fell between them on the first night, hehe.

well maintained hotel with great pools

Posted 17-May-2014 on Hotels.com
This was a pleasant stay for a reasonable price, we had breakfast and dinner included in the price, and to be honest i did not expect a lot of the food..but i was positively surprised, the buffee was good quality with a lot of options, both for dinner and breakfast. You have to buy the drinks separately for dinner, but it was not over-priced. A lot of entertainment for everyone, and staff friendly. We really enjoyed the big pools, and it was not too crowded on a weekend in may. Would come again.

A hotel of two parts

Posted 13-May-2014
Pros: Close to Malaga airport, great swimming pools
Cons: Renovate the old block. It seriously lets the hotel down
Book with caution. This hotel comprises two distinct parts. The new (main) building looks great and easily lives up to the star rating seen on most review sites. However, the older building is a 4 story 70s style building that desperately needs updating. Our room was on the 4th floor of this building. The view was great, overlooking the pool, but that is where the compliments end. The decor was tatty, the double bed in the reservation was two singles. The accommodation for 4 comprised the two singles and two tired old sofa beds - one of which sported a big iron burn mark. The undersides of the window ledges had been heavily graffitied by previous guests, unseen I suspect by cleaning staff. Lesson learnt. If I go back to this hotel (somewhat unlikely) I will make sure I am very specific about being housed in the main building.

Nice hotel

Posted 08-Apr-2014
It was a last minute booking but it was a very nice and clean hotel. The only thing was that I requested a queen bed, but was given to singles pushed together (that didn't stay together). There was no place to eat drink pass 11pm and no room service. Other than that, the hotel was good.
