“Not what was advertised....”
Was advertised as a four star hotel, and in fact was 2 keys... definately between 2 & 3 star, also advertised jetted bath tubs in the rooms, asked about this at reception was told there were none in any of the rooms, even the refurbished ones, the apartment we were given was at the back end of the complex, as far away from the reception as possible, with upgrading works going on we had to exit the complex, then re enter further up to get to the room (not ideal). Overall for what we paid, it was worth the money, (paid 2 star prices, and thats what we got), well situated, friendly and helpful staff, apartment had all we needed, clean, though furniture very tired & dated (was told upgrading is ongoing).
“Excellent accomodation and location”
Would thorougly recommend this location if you're looking to stay in the wonderful Benalmadena area
“Fantastic Hotel”
We stayed here with our 12 year old daughter and 10 year old son. A fantastic hotel - no faults that I can think of. Would go back here tomorrow Thoroughly enjoyed by all us.
“I'd go back in a minute!!!”
We spent 2 nights at this hotel in the midst of a 2-week sightseeing tour of Spain's beautiful cathedrals, palaces, and art galleries and it may have saved our lives - as well as our marriage!!! We were at the limit of our endurance when we arrived at this beautiful haven one block from the Mediterranean Sea. It was a little tricky to find, but a great location - within walking distance of many shops and restaurants and perfect for evening strolls along the ocean. When we arrived, we were informed that our requested one-bedroom unit was not available and that we had been upgraded to a 2-bedroom unit (Oh darn...) Reception was effecient, cheerful, and helpful. We had no trouble finding free parking on the street and opted to walk everywhere while we were there. The units were wonderfully furnished, equipped, and spotlessly clean. The beds were luxurious and the balconies a great spot to have morning coffee. The pool area was clean and busy with enough shade if you really wanted it. The hotel seemed to cater to English travellers and many families, as well, so it was a relaxed environment. The activities staff were off on the 2 days we happened to be there (Friday and Saturday), so it was relatively quiet. Because Benelmadena is on a hill, there may be some stairs to get to your unit which can be difficult with luggage, but the views were worth it. Sahara felt like a home away from home - a perfect oasis in a foreign land.
“always go back if u can get in”
good place to stay bar bit pricey but good value for money(meals)
“A gem on the Costa del Sol”
This is probably one of the best places we have ever stayed at. The staff are absolutely brilliant - helpful, courteous, and happy. We couldn't find anything to fault. It is a delight to meet so many people who have total customer focus. Our accommodation was a one bed apt which was really lovely. The lounge was very spacious and comfortable and everything about the place made you feel a part of it. So difficult to put a finger on whatever magic dust they spread around but it certainly is infectious. Everywhere ther were smiling people and staff and when you come across that you know the morale of both staff and clients is very high. Perfect for families and the older generation. Entertainment was provided in the Casbah Restaurant and we really enjoyed a lovely Flamenco show. Children were kept involved with little programmes run by a wonderful lady called Anushka. Her whole persona was a delight. We just loved it here and will dehinitely come back.
“Everything you need in one place”
This hotel couldn't be better located, and has everything for the kids. There are 9 hole mini putt maybe no the best but good for free, table tennis table, pool table, outdoor hot tub, squash court, 2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool and the onsite bar the Casbah is very reasonably priced and they put some form of entertainment on every night.
“Fantastic hotel”
We only stayed two nights at the start of our holiday in Andalucia but we will definitely visit Sahara Sunset again !
“a real bargain for a super apartment”
spacious studio apartment, well equiped. The only problem was the complex layout with steps everywhere, we had to go up one flight and down two to get from reception to our room. Even if the lift had been working it would only have saved us one flight.
“little gem”
