“Great Value for Money”

This hotel is mainly patronised by Spanish people therefore do not expect any english to be spoken by the staff but they know enough to help out with basic questions. The Staff are friendly and maintain the hotel to a good standard throughout. The hotel has a convenient location about 1km from Malaga city centre and is right on the beach front which boasts an impressive 2km promenade. It has it's own pool and a number of well placed vending machines ensures that you do not have to leave the hotel to obtain drinks, etc. The rooms are well appointed and very clean and each has a balcony although not always facing the sun. Unfortunately noise can travel betrween rooms but, in general, I found the clientelle to be polite, quiet and considerate so this was not a problem. In overall terms this is a good hotel providing excellent value for money in a great location.

Area recommendations
Malaga is an excellent place to visit and the city centre is particularly nice crammed with vibrant shops and restaurants. It has a fantastic history and the Cathedral, Roman Citadel and medieval Castilla are well worth visiting. The tropical park which runs along the harbour front provides a shady retreat form the heat of the sun and from here you can hop on a horse drawn carriage for a tour of the city centre. As the home of San Miguel, cerveza is never in short supply so what more persuasion do you need to visit this marvellous Spanish city!
Getting there
Loads of cheap flights available from all over the UK and the airport bus takes you to the city centre in about 10 mins for 2 euros. If you are coming from Madrid, try the AVE high speed train, it's superb!
Getting around
You can get a bus to most places on the Costa del Sol or a train if you prefer. Taxis abound and are quite reasonably priced.

“A Complete Nightmare!!”

I was there 15 minutes and could not wait to get the hell out of there!!! 1) CHECK IN - The front desk person took my Expedia Iternary and refused to return it. I was told that they had to keep it because it proved I was there. I explained that no other hotel in Spain that was book by Expedia asked for it. 2) ROOM - The hallway to my room had NO lights except on the painting at the end of the hallway which I felt was dangerous for a single traveler. There were bugs in my room (wasps). The bed linens had be torn in multiple places. The room smelled. The furniture was not clean. The phone was sticky and dirty. My view overlooked another apartment complex (that was not nice to see) and a had a VERY good view of my hotel room. 3) BEACH - In order to go to the beach, you had to cross a very, very busy street. The beach was not a good representation of the Costa Del Sol Beaches!!! It was near the shipping area/port. 4) CHECK OUT - When I asked to leave to go to another city instead of staying there, they never asked me why or cared enough to trying to fix my accomodations. The front desk person just called the taxi and told me that I would not receive any refund. When I asked for my Iternary to see my loss, the front desk person would not allow it. After a verbal fight, they made a copy for me.

“Good Hotel In A Great Location In A FineCity”

My wife and I spent seven nights here following an eight night Med cruise. While a couple of the details of our stay were not exactly as expected (no free safety deposit box in room, room aircondiioning thermostat over ruled centrally) the excellent location in the most attractive city of Malaga makes us reccomend the Las Vegas with no hesitation. Our room balcony looked out on a fine beachfront promenade, and a very attractive and pedestrian friendly city centre was only a fifteen minute clean, level, and well lighted walk away, And the ruined Moorish fortis and palaces behind the city centre formed a most impressive backdrop on the hills just behind downtown. Many years ago we were briefly in Malaga as part of a Costa Del Sol visit to Spain. At that time few people stayed in Malaga but headed straight from the airport to the beach resorts.. Don't know how they have done it, but this time we found the city just great. More visitors to south Spain should head to Malaga. And if they do they could probably do no better than stay at the Las Vegas. Should also mention the hotel's included buffet breakfast. Quite adequate, and something which few other city hotels include. Most convenient in a country where street breakfast is hard to find and where hotels charging for breakfast make it a rather expensive one, by North American standards at least...

“Awesome location, Excellent service/quality for the price”

I was very happy with my stay at the Hotel Las Vegas in Malaga. My boyfriend and I got an ocean view room without even requesting it! We also arrived very early, at about 11am but were able to check in by about noon. The hotel staff let us leave our luggage in a closet so that we could walk around. The room was large with a balconey. It is literally across the street from the Mediterranean Sea. Also, I liked the location of the hotel because it was in a more residential area and made the experience more authentic. Also, The hotel is a 10 minute walk from downtown Malaga, the Alcazaba, The Gigralfaro Castle (you will have to walk up a mountain though) , and the Roman ampitheater. The hotel is also less than a 2 mile walk to the train station which we used twice for trips to Seville and Madrid. I would also recommend booking a tour through the hotel to Tangiers, Morocco. It is well worth the 100 euro. Another great point to note is that the hotel is a 15 minute drive to the airport. I fell in love with the city of Malaga and I will definetely stay at the Las Vegas Hotel on my next trip.

Dining
Please note, that Spanish dinners do not start until at the earliest 8PM. Do not be alarmed if you are walking around at 6PM and no restaurants are open. You are too early. Revisit the places after 8PM.

“Enjoyable Stay”

Very enjoyable stay at the Las Vegas we requested a room to the front with a sea view and that's what we got, lovely big room with big balcony, great view. Breakfast was served until 10.30 with good choice. The hotel is very handy for Malaga city centre too you can walk 20 minutes plus walk, but through pleasant parks or 5 mins on the bus and bus stops right outside hotel.

“hotel Las Vegas Malaga”

When to go
au printemps car pas trop de monde et pas trop de chaleur
