It was a very well-equipped hotel for a 3-star. Good selection for breakfast, pool bar, roof top bar and evening entertainment. It’s close to a good selection of restaurants, next to the beach, friendly attentive staff. We wanted to hire a car, they called one for us. All very convenient. What more could you ask for?

There was no customer service at this hotel. The staff were quite rude on reception. The food was appalling possibly the worst breakfast I’ve ever eaten in a hotel. No entertainment bar staff extremely rude when you are in Spain you expect a sangria made correctly. Mine was poured out of a carton I couldn’t believe it. I had to pay for a kettle in the room. The facilities are very poor.. the electric tripped while I was there. I would most definitely not recommend this hotel which is a shame because the location is perfect. I would give this a one star at best. The staff manners are atrocious.

Dear JulieThank you for taking the time to comment on your stay at the hotel.It is evident that you are not making this comment from an objective point of view since everyone can see in comments before and after yours that what you say is not true.For what We have been told, the hotel staff had to repeatedly endure your rudeness towards the staff and other guests. Electricity sometimes fails in all houses and the important thing is that we solved it quickly. You also have to know that sangria is prepared in advance because the demand is great and requires a specific recipe. That is true here and everywhere.Fortunately, you are not the one who gives the stars to the hotels.Kind regards

I am a returning guest having visited 2 years ago. I wrote a glowing review back then as I felt it was undervalued. This hotel is a superb budget hotel. It's as good as you'll find. The rooms and beds are fine and the air con is exceptional. The rooftop bar is the gem this hotel has to offer. Sadly, the weather was terrible in late March, so didn't get chance to use it much. The hotel is located right next to the beachside promenade and just a 5 minute stroll from the marina. There are so many bars and restaurants on the doorstep of this hotel, you'll struggle to get round them all. The one major disappoinment this time (apart from the weather - not the hotels fault of course), was we requested a late check out due to a night flight. We were quoted 40 euros for an extra 4 hours. This is so expensive. The hotel are well within their rights and so not saying thet can't. I have just had free late check outs though when travelling before and so I feel I must mark the hotel down. But for clarity, it wouldn't stop me returning - I'll just make sure I book an early flight home. Other than that, book this hotel with confidence.

For an oceanfront/ oceanview room, the cost was very reasonable. Unfortunately it also came with drawbacks. There were no english channels on the tv, just 10 spanish channels. The tv screen was the size of my laptop. It was impossible to buy a cup of coffee at the hotel in the morning until the bar opened at 10:30. There was no coffeemaker in the room. The charge for parking was 16 euros per night. There is no tennis court despite being advertised. There were no towels at the pool, and it was quite cold.

Thank you for commenting about your stayWe regret to tell you that practically all of this comment is incorrect. The televisions have more than 80 channels in English, if your room did not, you should ask at reception. In total there are 180 channels and all the televisions in the hotel are quite large. The price of parking is 15 euros per day. We still have a tennis court but it is no longer in use due to lack of use. And the issue of cold is not the responsibility of the hotel, as you can understand.Kind regards

The hotel is located in the great area, clean peaceful, quiet and rooms are wide being cleaned daily. Staff are very helpful and kind.overall happy staying in La Baracuda, looking forward to come back next time.

Shame about the food
Great location and very comfortable room. But the food most definitely let it down. Very poor and limited choice, same desserts most nights, and not at all vegetarian friendly. If you are vegetarian, I would think twice about staying there on a half board basis. It was literally non existent at dinner other than having a side dish of vegetables or chips.

Great location
Great seafront location. Large room with pool/seaview. Lovely rooftop bar with fab views. Breakfast was good. Repetitive but good selection. T.v in room with plenty of British channels. Many local bars or 5 minutes to Marina in one direction and long promenade in other with many bars etc. Would definitely stay here again.

Def recommend!
We arrived earlier than check-in but were allowed to proceed without a problem as our room was ready. Throughout our stay we found the staff to be friendly, professional and keen to offer assistance/info when required. Room was basic but clean and had everything we needed (incl. fridge and hairdryer). The pool area was great with plenty sunbeds available. We had both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant and ate a couple of times from the pool bar; all the food was top notch. The hotel itself is perfectly situated for the beach, plenty bars/restaurants, supermarkets and marina etc. The hotel also has an on-site massage service. I can finally turn my neck after weeks of it being sore and too stiff - would highly recommend. Will def return to this hotel and have already started recommending it to friends. :)

Beautiful hotel with stunning views
Such a beautiful hotel in a fab location close to everything and a short walk to Benalmádena. Loads of entertainment and very clean. We ate out everyday as it was only a short break so I can’t comment on the food.

Great hotel
Great location on La Cariheula, first time we've stayed in this hotel but already booked for next year. Very friendly helpful staff, on reception and in the restaurant. Reasonably priced food and drink, lovely breakfasts which you can eat on terrace if you wish. Evening food has limited choices but food always good and changed regularly. Very comfortable and a lovely cold fridge!

The hotel was located right on the beach. We were able to easily walk around and enjoy the boardwalk along the beach. We were surprised by have complimentary doughnuts and sparkling wine in the room. The morning buffet was excellent, so many options. The only issue we had was parking, the on-site parking was full so we had to find on street parking.

Love this property as it’s so central for lots of places and the views from the roof top bar are amazing! Would have given it a higher rating but it’s unfortunately let down by its breakfast, the choice is ok but the hot breakfast just wasn’t hot!!

Great value hotel in beachside location
A convenient, accessible hotel with a pool area and directly opposite the beach _ as well as a huge range of bars and restaurants. The hotel is very clean and staff are all friendly and helpful. Good choice of breakfasts.
