Great hotel in really good location

Posted 18-Apr-2014
Pros: As above
Cons: Reception can be a bit chaotic at times - but the staff are frendly
Location: As above
Chose to stay at this hotel again because it really does tick lots of boxes. It's only five minutes walk from the station (just half an hour from the airport) and we had an excellent room overlooking the harbour. Spacious and well equipped, good bathroom, good balcony, air-con, etc., etc. Buffet breakfast and buffet supper are both good food and good value and general hotel facilities are great. And straight out of the door onto the sea front and lovely coastal walks. All the bars, cafes and restaurants are close by too. Can be a bit noisy about 3 a.m. when the clubs close - but fine if you close the double-glazed patio door!

Fuengiola trip

Posted 06-Apr-2014
Pros: The rooms are very good.
Cons: There should be better acoustic protection and better choice of food. Perhaps a-la-carte as an alternative to the buffet.
Location: The beach, town centre, shopping, biopark, plus other parks. We rented a car and gave us opportunity to explore around, is Mijas, Estepona, etc.
The interior of the hotel is much superior than the first expression of the exterior. The rooms are very good, plenty of space and well kept. We went half board, the food is plentiful but very basic, cheap cuts of meat. Most of the waiting staff could do with some training. Shouting across the restaurant for conversation, or loud whistling. The most disturbing thing for us was the noise. With clubs and bars around the hotel, and people shouting, swearing all night long it was difficult to have good night rest. The external windows and doors hardly reduced the noise. This hotel is not the one if you wants to have some peace and quiet. We knew that this part of Fuengirola was lively but the music does not stop until about 5.30 in the morning, then you get the revellars actions for further few hours.

Good location

Good location. Only five minutes walk from train and bus station. Comfortable rooms if a bit dated. At busy times such as around mid day could do with more staff on reception when people are checking in and out. All in all good value for money

close to harbour

Posted 27-Jan-2014
Pros: decent bath with plenty of hot water.
Cons: it would be nice to have a clock beside the bed
Location: markets, restaurants close by, walk the boulevard, walk around the harbour, happy hour everyday, two drinks for the price of one.

Excellent Half Board Stay.

Posted 16-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
Thoroughly enjoyed out mini break at the Las Palmeras. Room very clean and comfortable. Our break included Half Board. The food was extremely good, no complaints at all. There was certainly something for everybody ! Breakfast was equally good, and I would recommend this hotel for a short break or equally a longer holiday. Cannot comment on the pool area, as we stayed at this hotel in January ! We will most certainly be back.
