This hotel is the best in Marbella! From the second we arrived to the second we checked out, our experience was second to none. This is a true 5 star hotel and is truly exquisite. Hotel is absolutely fantastic. We originally booked 4 nights but extended for an additional 3. The sea view rooms are incredible. Special thanks to Roberto on reception for helping us extend our stay. Food and cocktails are great. The Select lounge has a very good choice of complimentary snacks and alcoholic beverages. We will definitely be coming back. The only thing to note was some of the tiles around the pool were extremely slippery I know they were changing these one during our stay. But the steps leading down to the toilets by the pool when wet these are very slippy and a family member fell down these. From conversations this happened to others also, so that possibly needs to be looked at.

The hotel location is perfect. On the sea front and 5 minutes walk to the Marbella Old town. The staff are always happy to help with any requests. could not fault this place. i would definitely go back.

Outstanding design of this histroic hotel/place. Wonderful hotel with incredible breakfasts and great facilities. The pools were lovely - beach is small and peppley but nice all the same. Front desk staff could be more helpful - especially when managing late check-outs or a room to change in if you have a late flight and in communicating the car park charges! All in all - it was wonderful and I will definitely return!

Marvelous in Marbella
Hotel Fuerte is a fabulous hotel. Some of the highlights during our stay were as follows: (1) Reception staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful - when we arrived (early) and our room wasn't ready they gave us complimentary drinks (2) Feurte's location is one of the best in Marbella - closest hotel to Marbella Old Town while also fronting onto the promenade and seafront - ideal (3) Staff overall were very courteous and professional throughout the hotel - we would like to mention Yvonne particularly who greeted us every day/evening with a smile and a brief chat (4) The hotel is spotless - well done to the cleaning staff (5) The comfort in the hotel was excellent - we slept particularly well on very high quality beds and the room layout was very well designed -would recommend people go for a partial/full sea-view (6) The buffet breakfast is fabulous (7) We'd recommend trying the buffet dinner too, which was very reasonably priced also (8) There was entertainment (live music) 3 of the 6 nights we stayed - which we enjoyed having as an option to stay in the hotel some nights The availability of lighter/smaller snacks though would be welcome in the Pinetree Club Overall the attention to detail was excellent and the staff fantastic - The hotel we were informed is being refurbished for a year between now and 2022 - we will be returning to the El Fuerte again and really looking forward to the changes they will make as they will probably only enhance the hotel even further

Very relaxing and top class service.
The service, food and attention to detail was first class and could not be faulted in anyway whatsoever. The decor of the rooms and hotel however are of a very Classique style and bordering on the point that it could do with being refurbished. However this type would certainly be very appealing to the older generation who are not looking for the modern furniture design finish. The location is very good, it felt very safe around the grounds during the day and also at night. It was a very pleasant and relaxing stay albeit a little bit too frumpy for my choice of hotel.

Well done to the hotel staff for managing covid safety measures so well. Well organised and clean which gave us peace of mind. We had a wonderful holiday, thank you. Life is different now , you have to wear a face mask some of the time, so what we got to enjoy the many great restaurants in the old town and swim everyday. Bliss!

This is an old Hotel in a great area of Marbella, the place is well maintained. We are young energetic couple and the problem was that everyone staying at this Hotel is over 65. I really mean everyone. Nothing wrong with that, just not the place for us.

Over all the staff were friendly. The hotel was clean. . The indoor pool was attended at all times with a lifeguard..we had a problem while we were there which was resolved. We didn't use the dining facilities at all so we can't comment on those. Drinks in the hotel were expensive and the overall area compared to most was pricey. . €5 for a beer in the hotel and around €3-5 outside the hotel. Food in the area was more expensive..a typical meal for 7 worked out to around €150-210..there aren't any excursions or things to do around the area although it was well patrolled by local , civil and national police..which doesn't stop the " lookie- lookies ...
