“hacienda puerta high altitude”

Foods - excellent Hotel room - best suitated overviewing the pool. Hotel staffs & Waiters - friendly and helpful

“Good Spanish Hospitality”

As you will see from our ratings above we were very satisfied with this hotel. The breakfast was excellent - a full English breakfast with bacon, sausages, eggs (fried or srambled), baked beans - and a good range of cereals and fruit. The view from the terrace was stunning, the swimming pool was inviting so much so that I actually went in and there was the added bonus of topless women. The staff allowed one to relax and did not keep trying to sell drinks etc. Overall very good value.

Area recommendations
I would recommend Mijas which is a delightful village stuck on the side of a hill. It is small and friendly. We went to Mass there on Sunday - a typical Spanish Mass with everyone dressed up to the nines, more of a social occasion than a religious ceremony. A number of children who were making their first Holy Communion looked sweet - the girls like brides in white and the boys in sailor suits. I would not recommend Fuengirola which was full of fat Brits and cafes doing British breakfasts

“Good place for a break”

Nice hotel, views and pool a real bonus. drawback is that its awkward to go out at night and the buffet dinner is not great, especially if you are staying for a few nights. i would say that i would grade it a 3 rather than 4 star hotel, its not up to 4 star standard.
