“Fairly good hotel, cramped, badly maintained room”
Generally a nice hotel. Good pool, right on the beach, clean, great breakfast. Unfortunately the small, horrible room didn't follow the same theme. Lights didn't work, balcony door wouldn't lock, shower leaked, people in surrounding room could see straight to the bed, the list goes on. Puerto Banus is a nice area, but very expensive. Expect to pay £6 a beer.
“Excellent 5 star hotel”
Just back from 5 nights stay at hotel which was lovely. Had booked a superior room however sink was leeking & no other superiors left so got upgraded to junior suite. Both rooms were lovely with large balconies & wooden ratan furniture-suite had sitting area, kitchen & dining area aswell. Booked b&b - felt sorry for lady that cooked omeletes every morning as she was well under pressure while other 3 chefs strolled about but always managed to get freshly cooked omelete. Short stroll into puerton banus (about 15 mins) therefore closeby to most amenities-would recommend
“not impressed”
lovely hotel but in receivership so the staff could not really care and the Pool area is looking really poor.
“Guadalpin Banus, Puerto Banus”
Only half the hotel has double beds so don't be surprised to find you dont get one and have to have 2 singles pushed together, when i asked reception about this they response was take it or leave!!!! the room walls had stains all over there had obviously been a leak at some point, the room walls leading to the corridor was also very thin you could hear absolutely everything. room service was ok. the thing i found most disgusting about this hotel was there so called complimentary pool towel service, we arrived late one day around 1500 to the pool and all they could offer was somebody else's used towels, as we then noticed through out the day they do this on a regular basis but as to whether all the personnel know i am not sure but for a so called 5 star hotel i found this appalling. the general maintenance of the hotel was also very poor, broken windows, broken hand rails. If your attending the hotel and wishing to do business via the internet defiantly do not rely on the wireless its very very poor.
“The Hotel from Hell, Avoid at all costs.”
We checked into this Hotel on Sunday and checked out again on Monday morning it was that bad. This Hotel is more like a 3* at best, I don't know how they got 5*? The food was bad, the rooms were dirty, the children's facilities are non existent and the service and attention to detail was awful. If your thinking of going to Marbella avoid this hotel at all costs.
“superb hotel , fantastic location best breakfast ever , very pleasant staff”
lovely hotel , location great staff and hotel could not be faulted
“Great hotel and reasonably priced”
We went as a group of 8 girls who wanted sunshine and relaxation. We went out of season and the surrounding areas were really empty - however we still had a great time and the hotel was pretty busy considering Banus itself which seemed to be struggling. We were blessed with great weather and the beach bar below served amazing food. Breakfast buffet not to be missed at the Gran Hotel Guadalpin Banus fantastic choice and great quality
“Not impressed and won't recommend this hotel to you”
We stayed there in early Jan '11. In general, I was not that much satifsfied. We stayed at front beach view room. The room was not cleaned well so my socks got dust very quickly and some hair left over in the bathroom. Also it was said that kitchen ware fully equipped but the kitchen sink is very small so almost no use and no fry pan, pot prepared so we had to ask to bring them. The staffs were not that much helping. At least they were not rude but not much prompt response and eagerness to support. The breakfast was more or less OK. This hotel didn't look 5 stars at all. All the stuffs in the room and pool were shabby. Also location was not very good. It is not far from Puerto Banus but nothing near by so you have to walk around 20min to Puerto Banus or drive a car. The restaruant located in basement was rather good in food quality but too pricey.
“great hotel ideal wknd get a pool view”
great hotel staff friendly. rooms clean and good quality. room overlooked pool and sea with great balcony. great wknd had thanks
“A wonderful break”
The hotel is listed as 5 star and whilst some of the decor and furnishings could do with some updating, we could not fault the friendliness or service of the staff. We had a double deluxe over looking the pool and sea and although a little small it was clean and had a nice size balcony. The breakfast was incredible and we didn't need lunch.
