“Benahavis”
Our stay can be described in one word: excellent
“Quiet and comfortable”
We stayed here in August 2011 and found the hotel to be excellent. Food was good, hotel was clean and well maintained, staff were helpful and room was large and comfortable. Had read some reviews which said the hotel was dated but this was all part of the makeup. We spent lots of time around the pool and here we didn't have to worry about there being enough sunbeds etc as there are two pools and ample room for everyone. We went half board and the evening meals were very good especially the BBQ night. The hotel was quiet and peaceful just what we wanted. There was not much for children here but it's not far to travel to the beaches and busier resorts. Our room was large and airy and the scenery around the hotel is fabulous we would certainly go back again and again.
“beautiful hotel”
secluded quiet hotel in a beautiful location. hotel was spacious, well furnished and private. we had a room on the third floor, with a balcony, giving a picturesque view of the village on the hillside. although hotel had fairly high occupancy (as evident at breakfast time), it was empty most of the day and evening, and we often found we had sole use of one of the swimming pools. good for couples wanting a quiet break as a base for exploring the area by car .
“Had just booked for one night but stayed three nights, really enjoyed our stay.”
This Hotel couldn't be faulted as far as we were concerned for the price and available facilities included. Its also positioned in a beautiful and tranquil area with an easy walk to the local town with plenty of choice of shops and dining places other than the Hotel Restarant which had a varied menu at reasonable prices. All in all very good value all round.
“Good Hotel, Good Location”
Enjoyed our weekend break here and would return again despite having to agree with some of the previous comments regarding the service at the pool bar.
“Great Hotel”
Great Hotel Good restaurants in the village.
“Beautiful location, shiny happy stuff”
Comfortable room, very good location, so helpful stuff.....really made my holiday ;-))Gracias
“Very Impressed”
A very relaxing holiday in a lovely hotel on the edge of Benahavis. The hotel is well worth its 4 stars being clean with many good amenities. We met people who go back to this hotel every year, sometimes 2 and 3 times a year and we know why.We will go back again next year. The staff were all very helpful, the food was good particularly the breakfasts.
“Beautiful Wedding Location.”
I stayed with family for a wedding trip and it was a beautiful hotel set in the middle of a valley surrounded by mountains. It's quite tricky to get to; if you fly into Malaga you have to either get a bus to Marbella then a taxi up to Benahavis or a train to Fuengirola then a taxi from there which is further. We got a family member to pick us up in their hire car. The hotel is so clean and the food was amazing, not so keen on the pool bar food but evening food is superb. The waiters are all very friendly and keen to please. The only thing I did not like was the hotel staff behind the reception desk can be quite rude, i.e. when I spoke to them they would answer the phone mid conversation and you could wait a while without them realising you were standing waiting for assistance. A way around this was if you rang reception from your room they generally assisted you quicker. Also they ask you to place the towels in the bathtub if you want fresh ones but we hung ours back up so as to save cleaning but they still were taken everyday (some weren't replaced which was annoying), but at least you know they are vigilant with cleaning. The size of the rooms are great, they are huge! It was fantastic to have so much space and they all have air con and the rooms are black out so you are able to sleep well at night. The pool is on grass which makes poolside a bit muddy, i guess they don't have tiles because of the heat would burn your feet? But I would return, it's such a beautiful town.
“V good hotel”
Really nice hotel. We opted to go half-board and the food was so good we never felt the need to head out of an evening. If there have been shortcomings with the breakfast in the past, they've been fixed now because the choice was huge and the quality good. Room was v comfortable. Location was ideal for us - quiet and among the hills - but wouldn't suit everyone. Car is essential. If you fancy a quiet break near the Costa del Sol this is a great place to stay.
