“excellent holiday spot”

Our original room location was very bad--we were right next to the restaurant/bar where the entertainment started at 9:00 pm and lasted until well past 11:00 pm. It was so loud that you couldn't sleep. On the other side of the room, an off property restaurant played awful music through a loud speaker, so you couldn't enjoy sitting on the deck. We complained to the management and they immediately moved us to another location that was excellent, and we very much enjoyed the rest of our vacation. The location of the hotel is great, walking distance to the beach and the thriving town of Fuengirola. Our package included flight, hotel, and rental car and was a tremendous value. If you book this hotel, request a quiet location!!

“Diamond in a little bit of rough, so close to the beach, fantastic value.”

Completely surprised by the facilities considering the price of the holiday. The resort has an American feel, and caters for all age groups and holiday makers. Out of season, the entertainment is not up to much, but the variety of venues and its proximity to other towns and resorts including the fantastic beach, make up for any short comings in entertainment. The food is reasonably priced in the many restaurants available, and the quality of food is above average for the type of resort and star rating. Taxi's are required for trips into nearby towns, but trains serve the major routes once there, so it is worth asking for a map of these from reception, and it is definitely worth heading into Fuengerola, Malaga, etc. There is an onsite private Medic for peace of mind, and there are two shops selling everyday essentials as well as local produce. Wifi Internet is available around the site, but it is expensive and not very reliable. I would return to this resort, but in a different month, to get the most out of the resort.

Area recommendations
A trip to Puerto Banus in Marbella is essential, a taxi will cost a bit more, but it is worth it for a walk around the port and relax on the beaches and enjoy the bars, café's, shops and restaurants.
When to go
Summer season is more entertaining, but if you want quiet, relaxing sunshine with as few children as possible, go at the end of September/beginning of October.
Getting there
Book a shuttle transfer on a holidays extra website for the best deal
Outdoors or beach
Access the beach from the resort, using the tunnel, less than 1km from the main reception. Great Thai masseuse is there who gives a fantastic massage. Remember to apply sunscreen after the massage as the oils will cause you to burn.

“Great resort for the price!!”

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the reception service was great and although we were there hours before check in, we went to reception who took our contact number and sent us a text message to say the room was ready and we could check in early. We were given a nice ground floor one bedroom apartment 28A at the back of the resort with a terrace, there was not really a view apart from of a hedge but we didn't mind too much. The restaurants on site were nice we tried Zacaharys and El Tajo, some meal were expensive so we only went there as a treat. There are 3 computers in the reception area to use for internet etc. There's also a mini market to get food and drink and fresh bread. Once you exit the resort there is a beach opposite, you can either take the subway or bridge to get across the motorway. This beach was OK but there's no sunbeds or toilet, you need to walk up further in Fueringola for the nice beach. We went on the trip to Tanger in Morrocco, we booked it in a travel shop by Fueringola beach, which was much cheaper than booking with the hotel. 64 euros instead of 79 euros per person. The trip was ok but the day was filled up with a lot of travelling by bus and ferry and some walking around the town which was spoiled by the locals trying to force you to buy things. We did not go on any other trips but they did offer trips to Granada and Gibralta. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Area recommendations
It takes about 30 mins to get to the beach in Fueringola town, there is what you would usually expect there. A parade of shops and restaurants along side the beach, sunbeds, toilets and showers. The beach was nice and quite quiet during the week. We visited the waterpark which was fun, they charge for the sunbeds and the lockers and the safety deposit box, so it can end up being expensive if you had a large family to pay for. We also visited the shopping centre which has an large Eroski supermarket there where you can get your weekly shop. There is also a cinema with mostly films in Spanish but there were a couple of English ones but we did not watch any. There are a lot of clothes, shop shops etc if you needed anything extra. I see from a lot of reviews complaining about the distance of the resort from Fueringola but it is not that far, if you don't mind walking. If you are not able to walk then definitely rent a car as otherwise you will be stuck in the resort and run out of things to do.

“Great package holiday”

Great resort. If you wanted to you could spend your holiday inside the resort without leaving as has many restaurants, bars, ATM machine, minimart, cafe, excursions (although most of them are during the week days). A tunnel that takes you under the highway directly to the beach and has a half hour train that can take you around the resort because it truly is massive - about 7 different resorts in one! We asked for adouble bed and got a two storeyed apartment with kitchen, washing machine, TV with English channels, two deck chairs, outdoor table and chairs and a spare room!

Area recommendations
A trip to Ronda (under 2hours inland) is a great trip - quaint pretty town where you can do a bullring tour for 6euro and has an amazingly tall bridge. Take a stroll down Marbella waterfront - parking in the town is free for most areas.

“Lovely view”

We stayed there for a week and is was lovely. The staff was very nice and the facilities are good. Our apartment had a terrace with view to the sea, it was amazing. We had also parking space for the car and the neighbourhood was quiet. We didn't try any of the restaurants or bars but they seemed nice. We read some reviews and they weren't good but when we went there we found something completely different. My only criticism is, the place is on a hill and away from the closest town so you are in need of a car to move around.

Lots of activities and trips are available in the welcome pack

“Brilliant Stay”

I loved this place. It wasn't at all what i had expected. Lovely location, really friendly and helpful reception staff, nice facilities and the restaurants served lovely food which in my opinion was fairly priced. The entertainment each evening was good as well. There is also a games room where you can play games like, ice hockey, pool or even pinball. Its great for children and adults alike, depending on your sense of fun. The beach is not far away and you can tell that most apartments have sea views. We stayed in a studio apartment, which was really lovely and had a smashing pool, tennis court and sea view. Absolutely spectacular. Complimentary toiletries in the bathroom and a start off pack of coffee, tea, sugar and milk sachets were also left in the compact kitchenette in the studio. The grounds were beautifully maintained. The walk to Fuengirola was a pleasant one. The free train around the resort is a good idea. There are quite a few trips offered through the resort, which can be booked inside the reception area. There are local restaurants outside of the resort as well as supermarkets. This place was really nice and i would happily stay here again.

Traveller's tip
Fuengirola Zoo and the castle opposite the resort are well worth a look. There is also a big shopping mall within walking distance, which has a cinema showing certain films in English. The beach is also a real calming influence, gauranteed to disolve any amount of pre holiday stress!
