Very pleasant & calm environment to stay for 3 nights. Gardens a real treat. Enjoyed good quality breakfast on patio. Ana & her team very helpful & responsive. Nice to have some canine company with 3 dogs too, very soft & friendly. The villa is 6-7km out of main Malaga city but bus route is close by & frequent & not expensive. There is a night bus too or just grab a taxi home. The villa is in a quiet, residential area. There are shops, bars & beach about 5-10 mins away but we found this area not so nice. Best bars & atmosphere in Malaga City itself. We stayed in two rooms, both nicely furnished & bathrooms have quality fittings.
The hotel is quirky and unusual with snail shell shaped rooms and a North African design theme throughout. The food is excellent, a small menu but extremely well done. The real selling point of this hotel is the views, they are spectacular. Your eating your meals whilst looking down the mountain to the sea, viewing the small towns and little white villas clinging to the hillside. At the coast line you have Nerja a bustling tourist town with a good market and even better ice cream parlours, only a 30 minute drive. As if this wasn't enough it's inexpensive, the rooms are cheap, as is the food. If you want a couple of days peace and quiet, a place to unwind, de-stress....this is it!
Without a doubt the most tranquil and serene holiday we ever had. The staff, food, atmosphere and venue were outstanding in every way. Set in the mountains a short drive away from Marbella and to various other small Spanish villages. Also a short drive from good way marked hiking routes of various lengths/difficulty levels and Shanti Som staff very obliging in making up packed lunches.
Left feeling very healthy, calm and reinvigorated.
I came to the hotel to be nearwater park but I found it very hard to find and not in a very nice place but the comfort was great the breckfast that I paid for wasn't worth it at all so I didn't eat any of it

Although this hotel is in a busy central square, it is never noisy mainly because of good glazing and also being carpeted in the hallways and rooms. There is always something to see or watch with life going on in the square.
Our bed was the most comfortable we have ever experienced in an hotel. The breakfast has a wide choice and the staff are always pleasant and helpful.
There is so much to see and do in Malaga that this is an excellent location within easy reach of most places.

The hotel is very nice - built in 2010 so all brand new, and everything worked well. The staff are lovely and helpful. The grounds are picturesque, and we had a very relaxing time there. The hotel backs onto the beach, and it is possible to walk to Estepona along it (past a nearby nudist beach). It takes about 45 minutes - wear beach shoes as it gets rocky. The dinner buffet is very good, but a little pricey at 23 Euros per person. Restaurants in town are tasty, atmospheric, and often cheaper, though it costs 15 Euros each way to get a taxi (too far to walk for a night out, and there is not a continuos pavement). A hire car would be a good investment, and would allow one to explore the area more easily. Note: the hotel can book excursions - do ask. The "Spanish Night" horses / flamenco excursion comes recommended. The hotel's evening entertainment is best suited to families. Overall, we would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would go back. P.S. the breakfast buffet is definitely worth having - amazing choice!

Very centrally situated in Malaga. Small hotel but perfect for a short or long stay. Staff cannot be more helpful and the level of cleanliness is excellent. A perfect small hotel or as we say in Scotland - A wee gem!
