“Best Hotel Experience in Spain”

Apartmentos Princesa Playa was perfect! Spotlessly clean, attractively decorated. Rooms overlooking Mediterranean were excellent. Loved the sunny balcony and sound of waves. Clean, heated roof top pool was great. Delicious, generous breakfast buffet. Staff were helpful, interested and polite with all guests. Medium price range...a real bargain. We highly recommend this apartment hotel !

The old Town area of Marbella is charming and busy. Great beaches, good variety of shops, restaurants and hotels. Beachfront and boardwalk are lovely and safe; well-used by walkers and joggers

“Geat al lrounder”

great location - 5 min walk from old town and right on the beach Facilities - roof top pool, restaurant, free wifi in lobby staff - as good as it gets - any issues sorted on the spot, no fuss, no hassle - just good old fashioned service room - avg size for Spain, good shower, seperate kitchenette with fridge, toaster, hob & microwave and cutlery and aircon Parking - 2 nearby underground carparks 2nd stay at the hotel in last 3 years and would be my first choice when heading back to Marbella

“Good Hotel, Beachfront”

Good Hotel on beachfront, nice room and balcony, size ok. Rooms were at times loud,e.g. when people on corridors came back late night. Depending on which cleaner did the room the service was variable, one day we had to take ourselves our garbage out at it was left there despite of the rest of the room being cleaned, and the hotel receptionist just pointed to us where on the street to throw it away rather then sending a cleaner to mend this mistake.

“Nice location on beach downtown Marbella”

Great location on the beach. Can walk anyplace downtown Marbella. Nice rooftop B/F and Lunch area, rooms are big enough for a family of 4 with a small kitchnette. The rate I got was reasonable.

“Great place to stay”

Great place to stay. Right on the beach in Marbella. Free wireless internet in lobby. Friendly, helpful staff. Great, central location in marbella. Beds aren't the most comfy, but I think that is pretty standard for europe!

“Great Weekend in Marbella”

My wife and i went for a long weekend to Marbella and stayed at the Princesa Playa. The Princesa is a great hotel, very clean with helpful staff. The hotel is directly on the promenade and i believe all rooms have sea views. During our stay the rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided. Hotel is directly on the promenade so the beach is less than a stone's throw away and is very clean. Restaurants on the promenade less than five minutes walk and the old town is pleasant ten minutes away. If taxi's are required the hotel will ring one for you. Overall excellent experience and would not hesitate to stay again.

Area recommendations

The Promenade is vibrant and great for evening eating or daytime beer and tapas pit stops. The old town with Orange Square (Naranjos) at its centre is beautiful and is a must see in the day but especially in the evening. It has lots of quaint restaurants and you can sit outside and watch the world go buy.

“A balcony over the Med.”

The room was light and airy with French windows opening onto a good balcony immediately overlooking the promenade and the Mediterranean. With self-catering facilities in the room we could stay in or go out as we liked. There were no restaurant facilities in the evening but as there were many good restaurants close by, this didn't really present a problem. Location for the seafront could hardly be better, but it is a moderate uphill walk to the old town and the Orange Square, -its focus, as walking is not easy for me. English was spoken by most of the staff and our queries re local facilities etc were well dealt with at reception.

Area recommendations

The Old Town should not be missed. Lots of narrow, intriguing 'Calles' with good shops and restaurants. The focal point is the Plaza Naranges, (Orange Square), where you can stroll, sit in the sunshine under trees heavy with oranges and either take a drink or eat a meal at reasonable prices. But equally attractive is the promenade, paved with marble and with countless restaurants, where you can get Tapas from 1 Euro up to a full and expensive meal. There are places to sit along the front and at the lower level you can sit and enjoy a drink for an hour or so without being bothered by anybody, except that, - as happens along most of the sea-front, - there are many 'pedlars' anxious to sell you handbags, CD's and almost anything else. They usually go away quite readily if you are firm, though.

What to pack

THE ONE THING THAT WAS MISSING FROM OUR SELF-CATERING ARRANGEMENTS WAS AN ELECTRIC KETTLE, SO TAKE A SMALL ONE WITH YOU OR BUY IT THERE. ALSO THE CUTLERY WAS MINIMAL, BUT WAS IMMEDIATELY REPLENISHED WHEN WE COMPLAINED.
