Easy temporary living in the sunshine!

Posted 05-Oct-2014
Pros: The pool and outside sitting areas are well established, with lovely trees and plants, and very well maintained.
Cons:
Location: The Alanda Club is close enough to a selection of restaurants and a decent supermarket with tempting bakery if you're self-catering! Beach nearby.
Just completed a 10 day break at the Alanda club. Staff were excellent, shared areas nicely done and apartments (we had 1 bed) were functional, kept very clean and sufficiently spacious for a 10 day break. The facilities at the club; squash court, indoor pool, gym etc were all great. We had no complaints at all!

Marbella in the end of SEP

Nice area near a wonderful beach and Gulf courses. The only negative thing about the resort was the early checkout at 10:30!

Family friendly, good hotel and close to beach

Posted 25-Sep-2014
Pros: Plenty of space, facility to cook and do laundry. Air conditioner. Hotel facilities were ample.
Location: Near the beach, approximately 500m. Shops in Elivia (across the freeway). Far from Marbella and Malaga.
Stayed for 5 days. The room was bigger than expected. Separate bedroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. As I could not speak Spanish, I asked the reception staff to make a phonecall on my behalf to the local airport transfer company, which she did gladly.

Nice hotel close to beach. Friendly staff.

Posted 01-Sep-2014
Pros: Location & layout
Cons: Car park. On leaving found large dent above rear wheel arch probably caused by a 4x4 reversing from nearby bay. Some areas too tight.
Location: Good restaurants within walking distance
Good deal for 10 day stay in one of best areas near Marbella.

Excellent apartment

Posted 01-Aug-2014
It was our 1st time to Marbella to celebrate my daughters 21st. We were given a 2 floor 3 bedroom apartment, all rooms had on suite with hair dryers there was also a separate bathroom with storage for guests on sofa bed, rooms were huge and very well equipped, the lounge, dining room and kitchen were also large, lovely comfy sofas a large dining table and fully equipped kitchen with everything you could wish for including a dishwasher it also had a utility room with washer & dryer, a large balcony off lounge another off dining room and another off the master bedroom. The apartment and all public areas were exceptionally clean & tidy, the pools were clean and large, it was surprisingly quiet considering the time of year so was really relaxing, we didn't experience any rowdiness all the time we were there, the restaurant was lovely with 2 menus but you have to ask for the cheaper one. The supermarket, restaurants & beach were only a short walk away. We were thrilled with this complex and would definitely come again.

Nice Apt facing beach

Posted 30-Jun-2014
Pros: Location, Atmosphere, quietness , apt facilities, and breakfast
Cons: The furniture in general is outdated and needs to be changed. The breakfast can be improved by changing the food items daily
Location: The location is in Elivira about 10 km from Marbella .The area is quite and safe. Two supermarket, restaurants ,and pharmacy with in walking distance.
It was a very nice holiday at Elivera near Marbella. Our family of 8 pax stayed in 3bed room apt in building El Retiro apt no 4 With a beautiful view to the Mediterranean Sea .The location was superb, the landscape was amazing and it is only 2 min walk to the beach. The staff was helpful specially Antonio. The maid service was not too good so the cleaning was fair. The apt size was excellent 3 large bed rooms with 3 bath room with a very nice living room and a balcony facing the beach. Our building is next to the beach but far away from the reception and breakfast and needs 10 min walk or take your car. There is a public bus stop close to the reception and take you direct south to Marbella and north to Fuengirola.

Close to the beach

Have stayed here previously & enjoyed it but this time the service was slow, food not as good and not all staff friendly. I will probably try it again next year and if it doesn't improve will go somewhere else.
