On arrival and from the outside the hotel was a bit disappointing, due to its surroundings, however once inside our opinion changed to one of pleasant surprise. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient when booking us in and escorting us to our rooms. The rooms were the highlight, the dark wood furniture and louvered shutters which closed around the bathroom to provide privacy, gave a sense of a past colonial era of comfort and decadence. A very comfortable and spacious four poster tester bed formed the centrepiece of the room which also contained a settee and easy chair. A particularly nice touch was being served tea on arrival in our room, by a member of staff, from a traditional Chinese teaset.

Hotel directly located at river is ideal for discovering main sightseeing spots per pedes. The overall impression is very good. The swimming pool area offers a beautiful view on river, ocean, and touristic spots.
We were very happy with the choice recommended by Expedia via Trip advisor. The Hotel is very new, just over a year old. The Hotel is so beautiful, with painting, arts and sculpture at every corner.Beautiful and quality furnishings.A blend of history and art.
We discover that there are 2 stairways going up to the roof garden, lined with paintings. Service very good. Bath robs, hair dryer and slippers provided.Fresh coffee can be delivered to your room without any charge. They have 3 transfer services to the city area and 3 trips back. This is free, but need to book earlier. The pick up may be a bit delayed during peak seasons due to traffic jam.
It was easy to locate the Hotel as its at the fringe of the city, and no need to drive into the busy commercial area.
"Great modern hotel, not to far to historical area"
From the moment we arrived we were very pleased with the hotel. The reception staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The rooms are modern and spacious. There is a shuttle service to take you to the city centre and to the historic quarter however it is only about a 15 minute walk to both.
Me and my friends were staying at Jonker Boutique Hotel for 2 nights (14-16 March 2015). The first reason why I love this hotel is because the location of the hotel is in Jonker area which is near with the heritage site and you can take a walk to visit them all. If you arrive in Melaka during weekends (Sat/Sunday), you can enjoy the Jonker Walk culinary which only held during weekends. This started early evening until 11pm. When we were checked in, the receptionist of the hotel was friendly and helpful. She also gave us a tourist map and told them the recommended places that we need to visit during our trip. The hotel was nice, clean and comfort. The hotel staffs are friendly. The price also still affordable for your pocket remembering that the hotel is a strategic one. This hotel also gave you free additional mineral water if the ones in your room have run out. And fyi only, the hotel has no lift but it doesn't matter to us since they only have several floors on their hotel (and lucky us, we have got the room on 2nd floor). Overall, I totally recommend this hotel if you plan to visit Melaka and stay around Jonker area ^__^
Book a Family suite with 1 king bed and 2 singles just nice for my family of 4. Room is cleaned & spacious that make it comfort. Free coffee & Chinese tea sachets with kettle. Room lights are bright with several switch controls. Maybe is because the hotel is new. Hope they can keep up the cleanliness. Good view. 5 to 10 mins walk to several big shopping malls. Free parking and come with 4 breakfast. Breakfast is normal but we are satisfied with the local breakfast. With the price I paid with 30% less as advertised, is worth the stay.
The reception had a little problem tracing my online booking but was resolved within 15min. The moment we stepped into our room at the 6th Storey, we like the clean and tidy room. The average room size is as expected of any standard 4-stars hotel and amenities include safe box, kettle completed with coffee/tea, iron with ironing board, TV and A/C with full self-adjustment panel for the temperature and fan speed. We stayed for 3 nights with free breakfast and newspaper at the door each morning. Breakfast was pleasingly good enough for a 4-stars hotel. Hotel staffs are polite and helpful. There is ample free parking surrounding the hotel, which is located at a good distance away from surrounding buildings - pleasingly quiet.
