“Excellent hotel in historic Madrid”
We stayed here two nites last week. They checked us in early (11am) after discovering we'd been on a plane all nite from the U.S. Room on first floor had little outdoor patio. Reasonably priced, excellent linens, interesting architecture. Strongly recommend this hotel and will look for others in the chain.
“Vincci Soho: Perfect location for Madrid sightseeing and tapas!”
Nice boutique hotel in a central yet quiet location. Perfect for sightseeing and restaurants, bars etc. Walking distance to major locations including several of the famous (and not so famous) squares to enjoy wonderful tapas, wine and people watching. Walking distance to the Prado, several other museums and the Royal Palace areas. Clean, nice rooms. Would book this hotel again for a similar short stay.
“Superior Deluxe Room with poor lighting”
A deluxe superior room with very poor lighting and the air conditioning on the blink. Talked to the front desk and the young lady said they cut the air off at 2:00 am in the morning and cut it back on at 12:00 noon. We had a good laugh at that, but that was not the problem. The hotel is not worthy of a four star rating.
“Overall, Great Hotel”
The only downsides for this hotel was that the bed was harder than I like and there was a lot of noise from the street. I used earplugs, so the latter was not a big deal, but ask for a room that does not face the street if this would be a problem for you. The room was huge and very nice.
“Great hotel in Madrid”
We arrived at the hotel quite late and was told that there was something wrong at the hotel and we could not booked in. The staff were very helpful and explained that we would in fact have a room at the Vincci Centrum in Madrid, just a few blocks away. For the inconvenience we were upgraded to a bigger room and given breakfast for free. We were VERY impressed with this hotel group and would stay there again.
“Good contemporary hotel in excellent location”
The Vincci Soho is a very short walk (<100 metres) from Plaza Sta Ana, which is surrounded by tapas bars and restaurants, and 10-15 minutes on foot from Peurto del Sol. Despite the very convenient location, it is a pleasant side street which means that it is much quieter than the main thoroughfares. The decor is very comtemporary, which we cerainly liked. the bedroom was not particularly large, but was not cramped. Nice big walk in shower, though! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Like many hotels, breakfast was ridiculously expensive for someone who usually has little more than a coffee, but two minutes walk away a coffee and croissant on the plaza costs a couple of euros! It is a while since we have been to Madrid, and we forgot how cool a city it is. We will be back again soon, I am sure, and we will definitely stay at this hotel again.
“Stylish design, clean room and non-existent service”
The hotel is very stylish. We were immediately impressed by furniture, room design, bar interior, etc. The location is very good, the hotel is within short walking distance from major Madrid sightseeing and 20 minutes walk from Atocha train station. On the negative side, though, I can say that concierge service is non-existent. We asked the hotel to make booking for Alhambra and were advised to call ourselves or visit travel agency. We do not consider ourselves too pretentious, but we were helped in another hotel with similar things quite easily.
“Great location!”
Front desk was nice and helpful, the hotel is beautiful, and the location is fantastic. There are great restaurants, shops, and plazas nearby and most things you'll want to see in Madrid are walking distance. There were really only 2 drawbacks. The first is wifi only works in the lobby and only in a couple of spots. The second is the room is small and not very functional (a case of form over function). Not enough room for suitcases and lighting is very poor.
“Ideal location”
3rd stay at this Hotel.Room was very small compared to the others we have stayed in(all standard not deluxe)
“Improvement necessary to be a true 4* hotel...”
Location and overall standard of hotel OK. Big dissapointment to pay more for twin when I had already booked a double delux and had stipulated a twin upon booking. I also had no option but to pay for having my shirts pressed as they don't keep irons in the room (this is a 4* hotel) The larger superior room was nice but we were now paying closer to 5* rates where I could have booked a better hotel had I known this earlier. A major complaint was how dark the rooms are even with all the lights on, to the extent you want to get out ASAP. Very little natural light. Location was very good and the city was well worth visiting. They could have done more to make you feel welcome, not very customer service orientated hotel...
