“Have gone there since the 1970s”
The hotel has, since changing owners, sowly decaying. The room we had this time did not have the sound system. We were told that, as they break, the systems are beying removed and not replaced. Cleaning of the rooms was noisy (the rooms have wooden floors wihout carpets) and we were woken up twice by the process going on upstairs and to the side. The biggest dissapointment was the restaurant, which was in the past among the 10 best in Madrid. The food was bland and the service very slow. Will not go back to eat there.
“Great location. We would come back here!”
The hotel is just minutes from Goya metro station. On arrival the staff were helpful and friendly and keen to assist us with directions. The room was clean and modern and provided all essentials we might have forgotten! All in all- faultless!
“Not impressed”
The hotel is central but is in need of a refurb. Broken window, leaking shower head, mould all over the tiles, black fingers prints over the walls. I'm sure you can get better value for money elsewhere.
“Great Location, Great Service”
decided to go to this hotel because of its location and price, and we were very impressed. very polite staff, and always very helpful. highly recommended!
“excellent value nice design boutique hotel”
I was pleasantly surprised by the Vincci Soma. Staff was very courteous and the rooms were nicely fitted out in a contemporary design. The nightly rate was very reasonable and the subway station was directly across the street. I was visiting my semester-abroad daughter for five days and, although located in a quieter part of Madrid re the evenings, it was easy to get around. Shopping in the neighborhood was good. I would highly recommend.
“Close to subway”
This hotel was clean, close to the Goya subway stop, and the staff was pleasant. Good value.
“Good Hotel”
This was a good hotel and very great value for money. The rooms were comfortable, clean and had everything you needed. Staff were friendly/helpful. We had a room on the inside so there was no traffic noise - very peaceful apart from occasional noise from other guests clunking around next to/above us - the walls/ceilings were obviously a bit thin. The location was great - 15 minute walk across the lovely Retiro park to the Prado and 25 minutes to the downtown area. If you feel lazy, there is metro station opposite the hotel. Good selection of tapas bars on your doorstep and, if you need retail therapy, there are shops galore!
“from now on our favorite hotel in Madrid”
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, very well thought room design, great buffet breakfast, gym/sauna open until midnight, confortable library, and all at a very reasonable rates.
“Excellent BUT with one big drawback”
I have one big complaint about Hotel VincciSoMa, and that is the noise of machinery from the interior patios. I was woken at 7 on a Saturday morning by the very loud vibrating sound of an engine (industrial freezer?) which went on for 2 hours, stopped for 30 mins, then started again. I rang reception and asked for a change of room, which was effected immediately; however, at midnight the next night another kind of machine (underground garage ventilation?) started up which I could only mask by switching on the heating fan in the room. I would think twice about staying here again in case I was given another room like these; which is a shame because in every other respect the hotel is excellent and perfectly located.
“good hotel, good location”
Went over for a weekend in October. Hotel was very good. Staff exremely customer focused. The location was excellent. The local tube station only 100 meteres away. Ideal way to get around the city. The city was very nice, great architecture, parksThe weather was excellent to top off a great weekend. Will definatly visit again.
