Great location - lovely hotel

Pros: Great central location. We had a superior room - huge. Lovely crisp white linen. High standard of cleanliness. Excellent breakfast buffet.
Location: Good central location. Good shopping, restaurants, culture, street entertainment.
A wonderful long weekend spent in Madrid. Plenty to see and do. Metro very easy and cheap to use. Great football experience at the Santiago Bernabau Stadium. Segway experience is a wonderful way to see the sights. Food market is amazing. Such a selection of cooked food and drink!

Lovely hotel within walking distance of so much!

Posted 09-Jun-2014
Pros: Location, Service & Staff
Cons: Double Beds not two singles pushed together!
Location: Location was right next to the Royal Palace with everything on walking distance. Temple De Bod and the Teleferico were very close by as well
Overall the hotel was excellent - Only issues were that the bathroom floor hadn't been cleaned properly on arrival and we booked a Double Room but had 2 single beds pushed together instead. Other than this it was excellent and very well located in the City with minimal noise outside even with the balcony doors open.

Fantastic place to stay in Madrid

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel during the Easter holiday. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast is fantastic! It is easy to get to all the main tourist attractions by foot from the TRYP.

Our last leg of our trip in Spain was spent here.

I am writing this on behalf of my husband and I, even though he made the reservations. Two-thumbs way up for the TRYP Madrid Ambassador Hotel. The entire personnel we encountered, from the front desk, bellhops, maids, kitchen and dining room staff, all went out of their way to ensure our stay at their hotel was a good one. The hotel is near the Senate and Opera Theatre, the Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, La Almudena Cathedral, the Royal Palace, and the Gran Via, and thankfully, not far from the Metro. Head’s up: There are no clocks in the rooms, so bring a watch or portable alarm clock. Although you can request a prompt wake-up call. There’s a bidet in the bathroom and the tub setup isn’t hard to figure. The spacious rooms come equipped WiFi Internet, 32inch LCD TV, and a small safe in the closet. There’s a marginal fee to use the hotel’s computers. My husband looked for hotels offering a decent breakfast buffet, and paid to have this included when he made the reservations. What’s served? Breads, cereals, coffees, waters, juices, meats, fresh fruits, yogurts, fresh and grilled vegetables, eggs, and heavenly desserts. The varied selection is constantly kept replenished by the thorough kitchen staff. Although we don’t partake in ham (jamone), there were ample egg choices and a sliced-type of deli turkey to please us. Ten stars for the hotel’s loveliness, the VERY-CONGENIAL STAFF, breakfast buffet, location, and the quality of the clean rooms and comfortable beds!
