Great hotel

Posted 31-Jul-2015
Pros: Ummmmmmm.
Cons: Ummmmmmm.
Location: Perfect also try the Mexican restraint across the street, awesome food!!!
Melia hotels from around the world are always great and this one is no different, clean secure and friendly, what more can you ask for. The first night we received a bottle of water and a dish of candy from the general manager( thank you) and each of the three days we were there we could not be happier. The hotel has a metro stop about two minute walk away. The taxi stand is right on the corner, and if you take the hop on hop off tour bus, there stop is right across the street. The pool is in the basement and is just hat the doctor order after a long day at the Prado musuem.

Issue of Internet

Posted 19-Jul-2015
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: The choice of food at executive lounge the Level is limited, it's very displeasing after a day stay. Air conditioning.
Location: OK
Internet was down more than 48 hours! Events and entertainment related publications were all in Spanish. Madrid is less prepared than Barcelona in this respect. I took an upgrade that was very disappointing. The foldable bed was a joke. Better advise should have been a separate room for the third person, and it would have been a the same cost. The upgrade was not a good choice! They should have offered me whatever suits the guest, not their pocket! Air conditioning was not keep g up with the weather.

Do not believe the pool pictures.

Pros: Staff. Location was quiet. Breakfast was great but they need a coffee machine since their coffee made everyone tea drinkers
Cons: AC in lobby. Coffee.
Location: Location is central but just beyond the Grand Via which is to be avoided. Cab rides were cheap thanks to its location.
The staff was great. They helped us with everything from a private van on less than an hours notice to getting tickets on the Spanish railway WHICH does not accept US credit card info. Our maid was friendly and responsive. Now the bad. The lobby was always to hot for comfort. The pool which they advertise on their web site is there BUT there is a 16€ spa fee to use it.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location.

Posted 14-Jul-2015
From the outside the hotel doesn't look like much, however as soon as you walk through the front door you know you're looking at a 5 star lobby. The rooms were amazing and kept at the perfect temperature due to the air conditioning (outside was 40 Celsius). I also asked for a rose to be placed on the bed, not only did the staff provide a rose but also a hand written birthday note for my partner as well as a bottle of water and entrées. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend and visit again.

Overall a great place to stay.

This hotel doesnt look like much from the outside but inside its something else. It's relatively modern and very clean. The best part was the breakfast buffet. It's really pretty remarkable. My wife and I spend part of our honeymoon in Spain here and we were happy with our room, the added benefit of the level service and the location of the hotel. The metro station is literally across the street. Just a 15 min ride to the center of Madrid. I would recommend this place to someone else.

OTTIMO HOTEL IN OTTIMA POSIZIONE

Posted 08-Jul-2015
