“A very pleasant surprise”

Good location: 10 min away from the airport and 10 min walk to nearest Metro station. Nice park nearby. Very comfortable room with quality toiletries, free Wi-Fi, etc. Helpful and very friendly staff; superb service. Only nag: pricey breakfast

“I would recommend”

I would recommend this hotel for people who want to be near the airport. The hotel is comfortable, clean and convenient. We had a problem with our air conditioner unit (the air conditioner worked, it just leaked a little) and a staff member came up immediately and offered to have us move rooms. Unfortunately, we were exhausted and didn't want to have to move. Dinner was expensive at the hotel but aren't they always. The breakfast was good. All in all, a pretty low-key stay. I would definately stay again for a lay over but if I had a couple days to spend in Madrid, I'd stay somewhere more centrally located. It completely served its purpose.

“this hotel is getting shabby”

overpriced bad food. picked because of closeness to airport because i had a very early flight. would try to find another if in the same situation again.

“great location”

the hotel was fine. location great from airport with a free shuttle. great access to one bus to center of town for attractions.

“Dissapointing Even for a Quick Stop”

This was the last hotel we were to stay during our trip around Spain, and I chose it because it was close to the Airport and we had an early flight. First, it isn't that close costing twenty euro for a cab ride to the airport because the hotel shuttle doesn't always run. Second, when we arrived and were given a room there was no one to help us with luggage or show us how to get to our room. I mention this because there are three banks of elevators within eye view, and the hotel is quite expansive and winding. When we finally arrived at our room, there was a "do not disturb" sign hanging on the door. Thinking the maid must have left it there, I put the keycard in the slot, and thankfully it did not work because there were people actually staying in this room. We were directed by hotel staff to a new room, and the key did not work there either. Finally, third time was a charm. When we arrived, though, we were not given a key to the room. Since it was quite late and we wanted to shower and get a couple hours of sleep, we let this go. In the future, I suggest staying at the hotel that is actually on the airport property.

“Should Have Stayed Longer”

Fantastic hotel. My wife and I stayed one night at this hotel to make an early flight the following day. Wish we would have stayed longer! Spa was excellent and relaxing. Only negative is the location: it's in a secluded area with restaurants a bit of a distance from hotel.

“Das Hotel Melia Avenida America bietet hohes Komfort für einen relativ niedrigen Preis.”

Das Hotel liegt ziemlich weit vom Zentrum, aber nah zum Metro. Man kann zum Metro durch einen sehr schönen Park laufen. Mein Zimmer war ganz frisch renoviert und mit einer Badewanne.
