“Very Impressive”
As above review
“A great five star hotel and want to go back again and again.”
It was our first trip to Madrid. I was worried thinking how will I communicate as none of us speak Spanish. But hey Spanish people are very friendly and helpful. Made our life a lot easier as they gave us tips on how to save money by using public transport. We bought a 3 day Metro pass straight from the Airport on the day we arrived. No need to take Taxi. Metro pass can also be used for travel on buses too. As our hotel was close to Bus stop/ Metro station, we travelled extensively around city. Great for shopping, eating out, evening stroll till late night. Very safe city too as we never felt insecure. Madrid is a great city and I thoroughly enjoyed the city life.
“Top Notch”
We stayed for a week begining of September 2010, exploiting a special deal. The room, although not vey large, was very comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. It was maintained sparkling clean. The breakfast was very varied to satisfy all tastes, and everything provided was of good quality. All staff we came into contact were very helpful and friendly; the concierge deserves special mention for his knowledge and willingness to help. Finally, the hotel is situated near an underground station which makes travelling very easy and straiightforward.
“Good Hotel... Would recommend!”
The hotel was located not far from the main city centre. This is good cos you get peace and quiet at night and it is still easily accessible as the Metro station is probably only 5 mins away. The concierge were efficient in checking us in. Didnt take long and hotel room was up to 4-5 star standard. Bed was comfy, room was clean, free coffee facilities, tv, air-conditioned (very important as Madrid was baking hot!) and they also had room service. We didnt get complimentary breakfast as it was not included in the package. We didnt try the restaurant as it was quite pricy but overall, this hotel is very good. I would definitely recommend. Expedia gave us a good deal on this.
“Great hotel”
Booked this last minute on a friday & flew out saturday over easter, excellent hotel & lobby, near tube stations in every direction, so cheap from airport & just 5min walk south from the main pink line to airport. Expedia had a deal on for free breakfast, i have to say this is one of the best i've ever had, stunning Salmon which i was never a fan of until now, great meats, fish & interesting cooked food, but fresh fruit was amazing & you could help yourself to champagne which was included, wow! We had a rather small twin room which was bit of a gripe for a 5* hotel, you litterelly had to rub your leg againts the tv & bed to get by, however the bathroom was huge & nice dressing gowns. Little out of what we found as the true kind of centre where all the big plaza's are, approx 20-30 min walk, although not too far to the gran via. Very good, would go again, very impressed with Madrid.
“A great Classy hotel”
A great Classy hotel, a fantastic location to all the attractions in Madrid, and it's within walking distance of the Metro Station Gregorio Maranon which connects to all over Madrid... all in all it was a great hotel with fantastic staff who are always looking to help and always like to be in service, in general you have a good Spanish feeling to the hotel, it is a classy hotel and it has this cool vibe to it, i reccomend anyone who goes to Madrid to stay in the Best hotel! and the name says it all!
“Very impressed”
This Hotel is super, excellant staff, rooms spacious, towels wonderful - highly recommend this hotel - cannot wait to go back
“'Club Intercontinental Lounge' provided excellent service”
Highly recommend Hotel for Business Traveller if booked 'Executive Club Level' room. Facilities and location of Hotel are excellent.
“Excellent hotel”
Fully agree with earlier comments, staff very helpful and friendly. Business location but easy access to the centre. First class service and very comfortable room. Excellent food in the restaurant but breakfast charges excessive. Gym well equipped but missed not having a pool.
“Good hotel - but expensive”
As you would expect the hotel was good and had all of the facilities you would need. We had a good room size which had a feel of quality to it. The location is a little outside the main areas, but with two Metro stations very close it was not a problem. You can walk to the main areas but give yourself about 30 minutes The only problem was that the hotel was expensive if you wanted to eat or drink anything. Breakfast €32 each a Beer €9. However there are Cafe's and bars not far away which are much more reasonable.
