“Terrible customer service”
This was our last stop and we found that the hotel front desk personnel were the least helpful and begrudgingly assisted us. Very few spoke English or even attempted to speak English. Rude is how I describe it. We asked for directions to the Airport since we had rented a car and they gave us directions in Spanish, when we asked them to give them to us in English they said it was not possible. Finally they gave me a password so I could go on the net and print out the directions myself. This is a four or five star hotel but you have to pay for wifi. The valet was very courteous and professional. The hotel is between 20 to 30 minutes from the airport.
“Location is very good! Near to public transportations.”
Location was very good. 3 minutes walk to Metro, Bus stop and the department store. The room was quite big and comfortable. Good value for the price. However the amenity in the room was poor as a 4 star hotel. No electric kettle, no cotton bud, no shaving goods, no hair shampoo and conditionar. Our room was on the 5th floor, facing to the street and it was too noisy to interrupt my sleep through the night.
“Value for money”
Male receptionist at night was always extremely friendy and helpful. Daytime receptionists not so much. Overall stay was okay, and location was excellent - close to Cortes Ingles for shopping and metro station. Breakfast special at the hotel for eight Euros per person was worth it. We had booked a summer special which gave us a 4pm check out on departure date. Housekeeping knocking at the door throughout the last day and even cleaning the rooms to ready it for arrival of new guests, even though we were entitled to a late check out, spoilt our rather enjoyable stay here. Scale to weigh luggage in the lobby was an excellent addition to travellers. Overall it was value for money.
“Great days at Madrid, Spain”
Husa Moncloa is a great hotel! It had everything I needed at the moment I arrived and kept goign on all my stay in this hotel. It's quite close to some interesting areas, like Plaza de España and Templo de Debod. Morevoer the shopping area in Madrid full of malls is behind this Hotel! It's a great option to stay in Madrid, Spain.
“Big Corner room with a nice view of Madrid”
Of the 3 hotels I stayed in Spain this one was the best. Got a Corner room with a nice view and very spacious.
“Great Location and Great Rooms”
The location of the hotel is well commuted. Rooms are very big and comfortable. Garage is a little expensive.
“Great budget hotel in Madrid”
Had a great stay at Moncloa hotel. Very clean, staff were very helpful. Hotel was at the budget end of things but very acceptable and well situated for Metro etc. Views from the window were great, especially the dawn skylines.
“Friendly, nice, clean”
The hotel is very nice and clean, with a Starbucks at the bottom. Turning right from the hotel, then going left is the down hill (8-12 minute) walk to the Gran Via, however coming uphill after a day out can be tiring! Therefore, you could use the closest metro which is Arguelles. Turn right from the hotel, then right again. The metro is 2 minutes walk. Even better, along this route you have a El Corte Ingles (big Spanish departmental store) which has a supermarket in the basement for well priced (better than the tourist shops!!!) food, drinks, snacks etc etc.
“Sweet little hotel with convenient big sister next door”
Friendly taxi driver needed directions as only knew the Husa Princesa next door. Large bright rooms and good air conditioning. Staff friendly and helpful in both hotels. Didnt eat at hotel so cant comment on dining. Would go back again when returning to lively city of Madrid as v close to bus and metro routes. 9/10
“Great hotel near neighborhoods and shopping”
We stayed here one night and were impressed by the size of the room. There was a lot of space, which made it feel like more of a one bedroom apartment sans kitchen than a basic hotel room. Although we were there for pleasure, this would be a great hotel for business travelers needing to stay a while. It was also near metro access, shopping at the enormous Corte Ingles department store, and other nice walks.
