“Can't wait to go back to Madrid.”
Very good hotel, comfortable and clean room, excellent breakfast. The best customer service. Francisco at the front desk and every body in the hotel made the difference.
“Very well situated”
This very comfortable and friendly hotel could not be better placed for a week end break in Madrid, everything is within easy walking and convenient for all transport methods.
“Great location, helpful staff and spacious and clean rooms. We had a great balcony!”
Hotel is well located in the centre of Madrid, close to 2 metro stations and easy to find! Helpful and friendly staff and good big buffet breakfast in the morning. Room was clean, spacious and bathroom the same! We were lucky enough to get a room with a balcony, which we sat on the outdoor table and chairs drinking some lovely Spanish wine in the afternoon. Absolutely recommend this place and would stay here again!
“short break with husband and friends”
Hotel very nice. Rooms fine, bathroom good. Negative side no air conditioning in this hotel until June. We were there in May very hot, really needed air conditioning. Buffet breakfast good choice, unfortunately hot food was always cold to barely warm. Location excellent.
“excellent location”
hotel was close to Sol Metro and close to all the plaza's mayor and santa ana. only issue was the tempature of the rooms very warm and A/C was poor apart from that very good
“Excellent location to stay, quiet hotel but in the heart of everything.”
I can only say one negative about this hotel and that is that the beds were not very comfortable, however after a couple of nights you do get used to them. A friend who was with us however claimed she had no back problems whilst staying there, so maybe thats a good sign.
“Passion for esthetics, less so for function”

“Great location”
The hotel has a fantastic location. It's in a heart of Madrid and within walking distance to Sol, Plaza Mayor, Royal Castle, cathedral, and many other attractions. I did a lot of walking and when I got tired I used the metro. The staff at the hotel was very nice and everyone at the front desk spoke very good English. My room did not have a great view and it was very cold. I turned off the AC as soon as I arrived and didn't turn it back on till the end of my stay (I stayed 3 nights in September) but it never got any warmer. I didn't complain about so I can't comment on the hotel's response but I needed to use an extra blanket at night. Tip: Madrid comes alive after sunset so plan accordingly. People flow into the streets when temperatures become more managable. Plaza del Sol and Plaza Mayor offer great people watching.
“Good choice”
Prime location - literally couple of blocks from Plaza del Sol. Hotel is renovated. Everything is clean and in good condition. Nice bathroom. Overall a great value. There weer a few minor inconveniences. The hotel is on a quite side street but on weekend nights there are sometimes parties in nearby bars. Then if the room is facing the street you will hear drunk people on the street outside all night long (no closing hours). Also when things break in the room do not expect them to fix it immediately. The beds were a bit on the hard side but perfectly reasonable. Finally no thermostat to control the heating (sometimes too hot in the room), apparently the thermostat is only for the A/C.
“Very good hotel and superb location.”
